Avatar n tn According to latest scientific studies, vinegar reduces the rise of blood sugar levels after you have eaten a meal and when taken at bed time, vinegar lowers morning blood sugar levels. The vinegar tonic restricts the absorption of high-carbohydrate foods which lessens the blood sugar increase that usually happens after a meal.
Avatar m tn I'm also a volunteer and not a medical professional or nutritionist. I have read that adding acidic foods to one's meal can help with metabolizing meals better. I found an article that discusses the impact of vinegar, specifically, on the poast-meal (post-prandial) BGs for Type 2. http://www.defeatdiabetes.org/Articles/insulinsensitivity040112.htm Apparently, vinegar improves insulin sensitivity.
Avatar m tn I have asked them how did you decided this is Type-2. They answered that if it is Type-1 then you will not be appeared like this and you don't have symptoms. Avatar f tn Thirty percent of cases of this type of liver cancer are associated with obesity, type 2 diabetes, and related metabolic diseases, although a direct link between these and liver cell cancer has not been completely established. "The connection between obesity and cancer is not well understood at this point," says senior co-author John Lambris, PhD, the Dr. Ralph and Sallie Weaver Professor of Research Medicine at Penn.
Avatar n tn Hi Lizzy, you are still diabetic... completely normal blood glucose is a hba1c of 5.0 or less. Prediabetic is usually considered as 5.7 - 6.5, and diabetic as 6.5. But being diabetic is sometimes likened to being pregnant... whether 6 weeks or 9 months you are still pregnant. So slightly high or very high, is still diabetic. To give you some perspective. Normal blood sugars will typically be < 100 all the time. Hba1c of 6.9 gives you average BG of about 160. Hab1c of 6.
Avatar m tn Dear All, I have a few questions about the diet that patients of Hepatitis C should take/ avoid. 1. Alcohol is an absolute no as far as I understand. 2. What about coffee? I have read reports that it slows liver damage. Is this true? Should one have coffee during the treatment and when one is not being treated? 3. Do we need to avoid fried/ deep fried food? And what about chicken and mutton? 4. During tx papaya is said to boost platelet count. Does it interfere with the treatment drugs? 5.
Avatar f tn This happens due to excess amino acids in sweat (which are breakdown products of protein), seen common with a high protein diet. Also if the diet is rich in cheese, then bacteria of staphylococcus type acts on the sweat and causes this smell of vinegar. Hence to avoid this smell you would need to carefully look at his diet and lower the protein and cheese content in it. Take care!

Tbd Eat grapes and drink raw apple cider vinegar. They have special chemicals that balance out sugar levels in the body. Really quite incredible. Any type of grapes.
Avatar f tn that used organic apple cider vinegar to clear acne. It allowed me to simply add the vinegar to my diet, while not fasting or anything (one of the main reasons why I am wary about these diets is because many of them tell you to fast, which I think is a little curious). I am usually a very empirical person, but I decided to do this even though I could not find reputable medical studies regarding its efficacy or safety (I figured I might as well since others had claimed success).
Avatar n tn Also if the diet is rich in cheese, then bacteria of staphylococcus type acts on the sweat and causes this smell of vinegar. Hence to avoid this smell you would need to carefully look at your daughter's diet and lower the protein and cheese content in it. Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions she may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into.

Avatar f tn It's sounds like Bacterial Vaginitis, commonly known as BV which left untreated can lead to a UTI. Sometime the symptoms can vary from painless discharge to an unbearable burning and itching sensation. It's not specifically related to the ovarian cyst but having an ovarian cyst in combination with your period can make the experience pretty unbearable.

Avatar f tn Would recommend you ask your doctor for antibody tests in case you have autoimmune adult onset type 1 instead of type 2. Regardless, agressive and early treatment is very critical to normalising blood sugars and preventing complications.
Avatar f tn But it is incredible how easy it is to maintain a healthy diet when you know your baby needs it. I am eating per diet that was recommended and drinking applied cider vinegar with mother with water at least 3 times a day. I am measuring my glucose and it has been normal. Without apple cider vinegar I had to take the pill. Best of luck, and don't panic, stress raises the blood sugar apparently...
Avatar m tn Hello, have you seen an acupuncturist? Side of the Head headaches can often be a "liver headache" have you tried detoxing your body with lemon juice & apple cider vinegar. I recommend juicing carrots, lemon, and celery. Carrot is good for the eyes, lemon detox is the liver, and celery helps with inflammation or you could use pineapple which helps with inflammation, as well.
Avatar n tn s medical records, her glucose levels, nor have you mentioned if she is a type 1, type 1.5 or type 2 diabetic. You should be talking with her doctor about medication. Go here for drug interactions http://www.drugs.com/drug_interactions.html And, avoid fad diets.
Avatar f tn What type of anemia do you have? Are you on medication for your Type II diabetes or do you control it with diet?
Avatar f tn The article I read also said pickles help with blood glucose because they contain vinegar also. I think vinegar is acedic acid so you would think it would make things worse but I guess there is a reason for it. I don't think vinegar comes in pills yet, but the article I read says they are working on that now. That would be great! Well, good luck with your doctors and keep me posted!
Avatar n tn Dr Ramsetty- There seems to be a fair amount of conflicting information on the web as to whether adding apple cider vinegar and / or cinnamon to ones diet can help in blood sugar control. I would certainly consider adding both of these things to my diet if they would assist. Do you have any advice?
