Avatar f tn The fungal forms are usually quite obvious as plant-like structures quite unlike the other normal blood constituents, but unfortunately most physicians do not do this type of simple test. Other tests rely on antibody testing of serum. Diet is very important in systemic fungal infections. All processed sugar must be removed from the diet as well as other changes to limit fungal growth. There are diets available on the internet (as well as some suggestions on our website, immed.
Avatar m tn This is absolutely a myth. There is no cure for Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetics produce insufficient insulin and need insulin to live. People want easy answers and for Type 1 diabetes there aren't any - not yet anyway. There are many types of natural treatments that are said to help Type 2 diabetes. Perhaps they do. But nothing helps as much as reducing carbs, losing weight and getting regular exercise.
709686 tn?1277432159 If it is Type 1 Diabetes, you are somehow born with a weak pancreas or abnormal hormone system which causes the lack of insulin production. But about 90% of the diabetes patients are of Type 2 Diabetes which is still remain a myth among the Smart Scientists. Type 2 Diabetes is a diet & lifestyle related illness. Most people put the blame on the Sugar and Carbohydrate for the elevated glucose level in the blood.
Avatar f tn I have been looking into this blood type diet myself being a blood type O but recently I have become concerned if I suffer manic episodes or am bipolar. Certain periods in my life become notably amazing. Usually when Im relatively lean I find myself with too much energy than I know what to do with! My social life improves dramatically! I quit 2 different jobs during these periods of "high". I almost become contagious during these periods wishing I could feel like this forever!
Avatar n tn My doctor just told me that I am slightly hypertensive and borderline type II diabetic. She put me on the diet plan for daibetics and I like it. I've been losing weight and getting energy highs then I get the "munchies" for popcorn and BBQ chips. I can't drink fruit juices or anything else except diet soda, water, and diet teas or sugar free Kool Aid. But if I drink the sugar free stuff I get so "gassy" and diarrhea. This part ***** big time.
Avatar n tn I do not know if it is possinble to grow out of hypoglycemia, but with the proper diet, this may become much less of a problem. I wish I had some answers. If there is anyone out there who knows more about hypoglycemia, please respond.
Avatar f tn My First Had It Really Bad My Doc Said Its Because Of My Blood Type Im Hoping This Baby Doesn't Have It It Was Really scary
396099 tn?1216254986 As for the well-balanced diet, I have yet to hear an unbalanced diet recommended for anything, so there you go. I know one of my biggest thrills after recovery was being able to drink regular coffee again -STRONG regular coffee, that "starts your heart." You'll bump into a few folks here who are in search of -or believe they have found- something to eat or drink which acts as a remedy for panic. Odwalla juice, yogurt, etc. If it works for you, it works for you.
Avatar n tn She heard from a friend that chicken can cause headaches/migraines for a certain type of blood types. I eat chicken all the time and im really hoping that its a myth but i guess i could give it up to get relief. any help?
Avatar m tn For others, it significantly slows the progress so that they can maintain on diet and exercise or the addition of an oral med for many years. Normal blood sugars are fasting under 100 and two hours post prandial under 140. People who are non-diabetic rarely go over 120. There is little reason to do random blood sugars, they don't tell you very much; I would suggest fasting blood sugar and then two hours after meals. This tells you how different foods affect you and how high you are going.

Avatar f tn Hi, I was diagnosed 3c in Feb 08. I had been on constant chemo until Jan.. My ca 125 hasn't been below 34 and my Gyn/Onc has been trying to get it in the teens or single digits, I was 13,000 before surgery , so 34-50 I was told might be my number. I do avoid any type of refined sugar, white flour. I've changed my diet and eat only Chicken and Fish , some wheat pasta. Tons of fresh vegetables and take supplements and do my own juicing.
Avatar n tn Hi Lizzy, you are still diabetic... completely normal blood glucose is a hba1c of 5.0 or less. Prediabetic is usually considered as 5.7 - 6.5, and diabetic as 6.5. But being diabetic is sometimes likened to being pregnant... whether 6 weeks or 9 months you are still pregnant. So slightly high or very high, is still diabetic. To give you some perspective. Normal blood sugars will typically be < 100 all the time. Hba1c of 6.9 gives you average BG of about 160. Hab1c of 6.

Avatar f tn I would encourage him to eat fruits, vegetables and lean meats so that he may maintain a healthy diet, that will also be easier on his blood sugar response.
Avatar f tn This would involve evaluation of c-peptide, antibodies, and insulin levels correlated with blood sugar levels. Type 1 is lack of insulin (and needs injected insulin), Type 2 is plenty of insulin, but there is insulin resistance and the insulin is not effective. For Type 2, oral meds may be appropriate. If it is adult onset type 1, it may develop quickly. Therefore, I suggest your read up on syptoms of both type 1 and type 2 and if you develop symptoms then you must go to your Dr.
Avatar f tn To help control your blood sugar (aside from the insulin) you need to adopt the followign for diet and exercise:- 1. Ideally 30 minutes of exercise after each meal. However, this may not always be possible, but do aim at 30 minutes of moderate exercise (brisk walking, stationary bike, swimming, etc) every day. 2. Avoid white carbs. By this I mean white bread, rice, pasta, all candies and sweets and processed foods. Avoid fruit juice. 3.

Avatar f tn Consuming sugar does not give you gestational diabetes, or type two diabetes. That is a myth. But it still isn't healthy. Just try to enjoy sugar in moderation.
