They were not blood type "O" people that I read the story about that I remember, so as soon as they at the right diet for their blood type, their immune systems also got stronger. It is strongly recommended not to use diet drinks, even for dieting it is actually better for people to drink full sugar / calories drinks knowingly (and hopefully sparingly) - as studies have shown they actually compensate by taking less calories elsewhere. I don't worry about cholesterol levels because I don't believe it is related to heart disease; what is related is insulin, which is a very powerful hormone.
