Avatar f tn I have been looking into this blood type diet myself being a blood type O but recently I have become concerned if I suffer manic episodes or am bipolar. Certain periods in my life become notably amazing. Usually when Im relatively lean I find myself with too much energy than I know what to do with! My social life improves dramatically! I quit 2 different jobs during these periods of "high". I almost become contagious during these periods wishing I could feel like this forever!
1026267 tn?1257591273 I don't know if almond or rice milk have the iodine in them or not, but there is one other thing that might be of help here. I found out that people with type "O" blood should not use coconut or palm anything, even the healthy extra virgin kind. I also found out that dairy isn't really good for type "O" people either.
Avatar f tn The best way to know what works for YOU is to try a certain food and test your blood glucose two hours after eating and make sure you stay within target. If a certain food spikes you up say over 140 you might try a lesser amount of that food or just eliminate it from your diet. It is not really possible to make a list of foods to eat and not eat because we are all different. But a diet of protein and lots of fresh vegies, small amounts of fruit and small amounts of carbs should do best.
Avatar n tn Believe me - as a Type 1 I had the same questions about a Diabetic Diet and for the most part - Food Exchanges just confused me because they overly complicated something simple. Type 1 or Type 2 or Type 1.5 - we all have the same meal planning problem. Unfortunately - there is no "list" of safe foods. You have to make your own. BUT - it's not so hard. The trick is to look at Nutritional Labels on food products. 99% of everything has it.
Avatar m tn o). They don’t specify the type of fat, so I suppose the equivalent in things like olive oil, etc, would be acceptable. I’d hate to achieve SVR, and then die a few months later from heart disease, as you mentioned. Who knows?
Avatar f tn They only give you O type blood if they have to because its a neutral blood type and your body wont reject it.
Avatar f tn ) ut im conserned on the fact that i have O- blood type and My OBGYN did say that on the 2nd time expecting it was more risking... Does any one know more info about this? I realldy didnt get much just the part that my body attacks the baby... So HELP!
Avatar f tn Reason why, the only reason why having o- blood type is a problem is if your baby has a different blood type then you and for some reason your blood is mixed during pregnancy then your body will not recognize it and try to fight it off like an infection. It will create antibodies but those antibodies only happen in second, third, or any other pregnancy in the future.Your body won't make them during your first.
Avatar f tn You might be able to see the food under your “Recent” foods list even though it’s not displaying on your daily log. If it does display on your“Recent” foods list, you should be able to add it from there and have it displayed. Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Avatar f tn Soo my midwife informed me that I'm O-negative which means my blood can't pass thru to the babies blood because my cells will fight against it so at 28 weeks I have to have an injection to prevent this from happening in the mean time if I fall or bang my bump i have 48 hours to get this injection before it can cause harm?? Has any1 ever heard of this ??
Avatar f tn I had it before and will need it again with this little one. I'm not gonna lie the shot hurt a lot lol. Other than that your baby will be fine.
1225198 tn?1336788230 MysticalChick is right. You are definetly ok, for SURE. It's the Rh +/- that makes the difference. My mom is O- and dad is AB+. ANYONE can take O- blood, but - can't take + blood. This makes O- blood like gold, and O+ is pretty important too. You should dontate blood more often! But even in the situation of one partner with + and the other with -, it won't PREVENT pregnancy, it would only make keeping the pregnancy difficult, if not impossible.
Avatar m tn I am not quite sure what app and what you are saying, but yes, many discussions of health and diet are fairly WASP-o-centric ("WASP" = white angle-Saxon protestant). And while some ethnic foods in this country might not often make a list of healthy foods (what many Americans confuse for Mexican food is anything with a ton of cheese on it), certainly a lot of Indian cuisine is extremely healthy!
Avatar f tn If your body senses babies blood and they have a positive blood type your body will try to get rid off the foreign body, the shot prevents this from happening. You and baby are fine now just be careful and they usually give the shot at 28 weeks. Luckily both my husband and I are positive. My mom was negative so she had to go through this with me.
Avatar f tn It seems like she is one of those people who assumes that gluten free and casein free diets are some kind of popular fad diet. I ignore her. I will have friends bring food for me if I'm in the hospital again if this is how the local hospital wants to act. When one is feeling lousy enough to be in the hospital, it's not like one is going to feel like eating a lot of food, so I don't see why this should be considered unreasonable.
5889951 tn?1380316047 I was discussing with my sons father who is o negative blood type and I am o negative blood type would my son be o negative as well? If anyone has any info they could share with me I would be very appreciative.
Avatar f tn I need help with dietary advice. I have several diaganoises that all have diet restrictions and its beginning to look like I can only have water - purified! The following is a list of issues with dietary restrictions: borderline diabetic, cirrohsis, bi-polar, migraines, and food allergies to coconut and mustard. I have one form of information that says to drink lots of fluids including fruit juices. Another says to avoid simple carbs - like fruit juices!
Avatar f tn It was tested evening time.whats the risk and what diet he need to follow? is it type 1 or type 2.what fruits can he able to eat?can he eat brown rice or wild rice?
1666434 tn?1325262350 We are not allowed to post web links on this forum. If you use Google to search on the 'Glycemic Index', the GI will explain the differences between simple and complex carbs. Besides sugar, simple carbs are a diabetics worst enemy as they quickly raise glucose [blood sugar] levels. Fruits must be eaten with other foods to slow the absorption of fructose [fruit sugar]. Caution with tropical fruits as they contain large amounts of fructose - pineapple, mangoes, papayas.
