Is it possible to have diabetes without having high blood sugar? I've never had a glucose level over 90 on any blood test. I've had to have labs done several times throughout the last couple of years. It's usually 70-80. Once 90. Never anything else. I have to go in tomorrow for testing because my urine has had a strange odor. I don't want to say it's sweet but it's kinda similar. I've never been overweight and have never had a recorded high glucose level.

His office called, said blood tests confirmed AI, sent me a prescription for 25mh of Cortisone Acetate to take daily. His office said no need to see him, just keep my 6 months appointment and he'll retest 24 hour urine and serum cortisol to see how my levels are. If better...stay on dose, if worse, up dose type of deal.

One portiion of the physical is they take a urine sample to check for sugar. My test did not reveal sugar/glucose in the urine. Over the past few years I've had several blood tests done to see if I'm diabetic and each one comes back negative. My question is this. Is it possible to be diabetic when all tests come back negative? I seem to have all the symptoms and my grandfather died from diabetes at a very young age. HELP!

ve called every STD clinic within 100 miles and none of them offer it. Also, none of the laboratory testing services that I have found offer it. Do I have to go to a GP or urologist to get it? Thanks.

I had issues with my blood sugar being low at the beginning of my second trimester. I would get faint and have ketones in my urine when that would happen. I hope the test goes well for everyone that hasn't taken it yet!!

My 5 year old daughter went to the doctor for a routine checkup for kindergarten. They tested her urine & she had sugar in it. They pricked her finger & it was 280. The next day after fasting it was normal. They ran a hemoglobin A1C test, which came back at 6.7. They think she has the early stages of diabetes, but we are wondering if there are any other tests that can tell if it is definately diabetes?

HI 48 year old male, 5 feet 8 inches. 164 lbs. Recently had blood test , Blood sugar came back 128m/dl. Doctor has not recommended any medicines . He suggested to exercise and control the diet. Day before the test had a pasta lunch with cola and small pasta fried fish dinner with 2 drinks(alcoholic). dinner complete at 9.00pm. Also had a antidepressant for sleep. There are some that test the urine just for glucose, but they do not give an accurate recording of how much sugar there is in the blood stream. These sticks are a good indicator, but they will only detect glucose in the urine if there is above a certain level (fairly high) of glucose in the urine. An HbA1c blood test shows average blood glucose levels over a sustained period (about a 3 month period).

For anyone that finds this in their searches, it turns out that I actually have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Autonomic testing showed a drop in blood pressure after eating which cause these symptoms!

s well child visit, I asked his doctor about the possibility of him being diabetic. They always test his urine for sugar, and told me that he didn't have any sugar in his urine, so he was fine. Hi, I am a 16 year old girl, whom is 5'3,and weigh about 96 pounds. I just went to see the doctor, and like always, they said I had a bit of ketones and about 300g of protein in my urine. They didn't test my blood sugar, but I know my fasting glucose level is around the 126 range. Though there was no sugar in my urine, I am still afraid I might be showing signs of diabetes, but no one believes me. I also have a high blood pressure. Any help would be great. Thanks!
