5589303 tn?1373954906 If it is indeed Staph infection then you need to ask doctor if it is MRSA—this infection can persist for years and needs rigorous treatment. Other than this, you need to get blood sugar tested as diabetes too can cause an infection to persist. Take care! The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you.

He suggested to exercise and control the diet. Day before the test had a pasta lunch with cola and small pasta fried fish dinner with 2 drinks(alcoholic). dinner complete at 9.00pm. Also had a antidepressant for sleep. Went the next morning for test around 8.am. Is it possible for my test to be wrong given the previous days gluttony.
Avatar f tn At 72, I've never had any doctor address anything regarding an elevated blood sugar level from bloodwork done every 6 months! Had bloodwork done 2 weeks ago, my blood sugar level is 133...how do I deal with this? What has caused this? Doctor is concerned, not frantic about this today, but I am alarmed.
Avatar f tn For anyone that finds this in their searches, it turns out that I actually have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Autonomic testing showed a drop in blood pressure after eating which cause these symptoms!
Avatar n tn My now 6-year-old son has been having episodes upon waking in the morning, which were happening about twice a year, but have increased in frequency to once every one to two months. He is lethargic, extremely weak (explained by him as having no power), and is very pale. Every time this happens, he will not wake on his own. Nearly every time, something sugary with recover him quickly, although sometimes he will vomit before we can even make it to the kitchen.
Avatar f tn Anything with carbs is going to spike your blood sugar. If your trying to stabilize blood sugar, I would recommend eating lots of protein and vegetables. As for carbs, choose the healthy carbs or brown rice and more slow digesting carbs. That way your blood sugar won't rise as high or fast. I'm type 1 diabetic and pregnant, so u have been testing blood sugar like crazy for a good amount of my life.

Avatar n tn t know a whole lot of info on your background. If you think it is a problem, then talk to your doctor. They can do some testing and find out what is going on.
304573 tn?1345577338 How are you arriving at this conclusion? Are you home testing your blood glucose, or is this random or fasting lab testing results? How long have you been tracking this?
526022 tn?1231148784 Hi Have you been diagnosed with a thyoid disorder? There are so many symptoms someone can experience with the thyroid beast. Everyone is different. If you haven't been diagnosed - it kind of sounds like you may a low blood sugar problem. You might want to try to stay away from sugar and get more protein in your diet with every meal and see if that helps. Does it help if you eat something?
Avatar n tn I tested my blood sugar this morning and it was 105. Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
Avatar f tn t believe that gall bladder issues effect the frequency of urination. I suspect that this could be due to a blood sugar disorder. I hope you get the relief you need soon. God bless you.
159619 tn?1707018272 Just a quick question, it's time for my annual physical here in a few weeks and was wondering if it is necessary to request a stress test or echo again. My last echo was last September and was normal as were my echos in 2005 & 2006 and I had Thallium stress tests in 2006 & 2005, both were normal. I am a 50 year old male, about 50 or so pounds over weight but have lost 70 since Jan 2007 by life style changes and daily exercise.
Avatar n tn How can your blood sugar be 255 at bedtime and fall to 40 at 5:30 am?
640347 tn?1228533326 I am supposed to take my insulin shots 3 to 4 times a day depending on my blood sugar. Please, monitor your blood sugar and take care of yourself so your prediabetes does not get any worse. 325405 tn?1262290178 Haven't yet been in to see an endocrinologist or a dietary person to talk blood sugar levels and diet. Am having problems dealing with my insurance company who won't even cover my stupid testing strips. They basically are $1 a strip. Expensive. I had gestational diabetes several years ago (gestational diabetes was covered 100% for supplies and visits), so I am aware of how to do all the blood testing and have been doign fine about that.
Avatar f tn I advocate a diet that people can stick to and gradually cutting back and out things that are causing the sugar levels to remain high unless, of course, blood sugar levels are so high as to be immediately life threatening. This does not appear to be the case here. Athletes also have other demands which need to be attended to. With medication her sugar could plunge to dangerous levels after work outs or, with intense work outs become very high.
Avatar n tn If you have diabetes, this medication may mask the fast/pounding heartbeat you would usually feel when your blood sugar level falls too low (hypoglycemia). Other symptoms of a low blood sugar level such as dizziness or sweating are unaffected by this drug. This drug may make you dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires alertness until you are sure you can perform such activities safely. Limit alcoholic beverages.
