blood-sugar

Avatar f tn I have always had low blood sugar or thryoid issues, problems such as heat intolerance, hand tremors, excessive sweating, tingling in lips and fingers, dizziness, fainting etc. I am currently taking a mood stabilizer Lamictal as well as Zoloft at fairly high dosages due to EXTREME anxiety issues with hypochondria. I recently went through about a week with sweating at night.
Avatar f tn I am 22 years old, two kids, but for the last year I have been having terrible night sweats. They are so bad that my hair is soaked my pillow is wet and my clothes are sticking to me. I don't skip nights with my sweats it happens every night.. Recently I have been having papilations that last longer than they use to, one episode had me shaking my head to catch my breath.

Avatar m tn I have heavy sweats and at the same time ice-cold skin at night. I have to get up to cool off. Takes up to two hours. It's getting more fequent - three times last night. Does any hypo sufferer have the same? I have what I supposed ar normal symptoms - dizziness, nausea, fatigue, etc. I've been on synthroid 100mg/day for a year.. To start with my TSH was 38. My tests over nine months are within range except that my free T3 is going down closer to the minimum. But the symptoms continue.
Avatar n tn Emphysema does not cause night sweats. Recurrent night sweats would actually suggest that you have another health problem, unrelated to emphysema, but possibly an infectious pulmonary disease, such as tuberculosis (TB). Diabetes can also cause night sweats as can a number of other diseases. Finally, it is not uncommon for a person to have night sweats, for no apparent cause, but that should not be your assumption. I suggest that you see your doctor, for evaluation of the night sweats.
Avatar m tn Now, I have night sweats when my levels are off, but usually only once or twice/night as opposed to 5-6 times/night I used to get them.
703031 tn?1398963307 I am a 33 year old female and have recently begun to experience night sweats. (approx. the past 6 to 8 weeks). Some nights I sweat enough to soak my hair and pillow and a portion of the sheets. Other nights, I wake up soaked from head to toe where I need to towel off and change my sheets. Should I contact my doctor and make an appointment? I hate going in for something that is "completely normal"...lol. My room isn't hot at all.
Avatar m tn It is not a blood sugar issue as I have had a fasting glucose test and I never get hypo symptoms i.e. sweating, shaking etc. I have tested negative for lupus and other autoimmune disorders. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before? I would be grateful for any suggestions.
Avatar f tn alcohol increases blood sugar levels and also increases body temperature, it dilates the vessels that trigger the sweat glands AND Your liver is trying to metabolize the alcohol, that too, triggers the sweating. I assure You, if We all learned what Our body goes through, the physiology of trying to eliminate the alcohol, the effect on Our central nervous system, etc., etc.
Avatar f tn However, I have been having some problems with my blood sugar levels. I frequently seem to be having episodes of low blood sugar, only to find that my blood sugar is only on the lower end of normal. My symptoms include feeling faint and dizzy, clammy skin, and pallor. I also feel jittery and nervous.
Avatar f tn As an anxiety sufferer, I can tell you that both night sweats and chills are common symptoms of anxiety (and, ironically, of the medications used to treat depression and anxiety). As those above have said, it isn't HIV. That pretty much leaves anxiety.
Avatar f tn Those could definitely be symptoms of low blood sugar, especially if your blood sugar drops very quickly. I noticed I got shaky too. Only way to tell is to go to the doctor and let them do glucose tests and A1C.
Avatar f tn Night sweat can happen to anyone with HIV at anytime.
Avatar m tn Just a quick one not really related to my personal risk exactly, but is it possible for night sweats to be ARS over 14 weeks after exposure, or would all the symptoms come at once? And I have also noticed an increase in eye floaters, but I think that may be just stress.
Avatar f tn Almost always there are multiple symptoms all at once. And by the way, true night sweats only occur if there is high fever. Sweating occurs when the fever breaks during the night.
Avatar n tn As part of acute HIV infection, is it possible to have night sweats and no fever? Or are they both present in the HIV infection process?
Avatar n tn blood sugar of 109 is within normal limits. fasting blood sugar of over 120 is indicative of diabetes. you can ask for a OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test) where she will drink so super sugary drink wait 10 hours and they will test her blood sugar. her symptoms don't match up with diabetes. the big symptoms are that she is almost thristy, always going to the bathroom, always hungry and eating but losing weight. i hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Is night sweats with no fever sign of hiv i been getting night sweats everynight i been tested up to month 6 which was negative
Avatar f tn So, for her, it was anemia with the low red blood cells, high white blood cell counts, and the night sweats. This occured each time the tumors were in a fast growing state.
Avatar m tn I would like to know, Could night sweats due to ARS could occur without fever? Are they localized i.e. occur only around one's neck and upper chest? How many nights could they occur? As regards drenching, does it mean that you expect to change all the bedding's or just the only the thin bed sheet on the upper most?
Avatar f tn To my understanding nights sweats are a product of a fever, right? Can you have night sweats without a fever? If so would non-fever night sweats relate to HIV still? Also how do you know if your having a fever at night? in the past when I had a night sweat, I would just wake up because I'm wet usually around my neck and chest area, I don't feel like I had fever. I remember in the past when I got tested for HIV I got so stressed I was having night sweats, test turned out to be negative.
1889242 tn?1321354938 I get night sweats too at times. I have noticed them since I was in my young 20's. I did mention it once to my doctor years ago but all she said was "your too young for night sweats" so I forgot about mentioning it again. I also have hyperhydrosis, though. Don't know if they are somehow related?
Avatar f tn I have hypothyoidism, right lobe still present with nodules present. I break out in sweats..I end up drenched...sugar 264...then I get shivers...sugar drops to 120s I had a pancreatic scan done 5yrs. ago and it was ok...everything comes back normal....one endocrinologist said I was developing diabetes and he didn't know why my sugars fluctuated the way they did and he would know what to do about it...would my thyroid nodules have anything to do with this? My mother was diabetic.
Avatar n tn some additional symptoms I have are thirst, excessive urination, edema in the legs and face, tiredness. Doctor checked my blood sugar, thyroid hormone level, and FSH and everything was normal? Any suggestions on what else can I do about my condition?
