Avatar f tn January, normal range 70-110 mg/dL , found 136 (hadn't eaten that morning or the night before) May, normal range 90-100 mg/dL , found 99 (had eaten some cheese the night before) Both morning tests I am 22, is this normal?
Avatar m tn I would suggest you talk to your doctor about these readings and have him give you the correct medication to control your blood sugar. 170 is very high for a fasting blood sugar.
Avatar n tn The morning blood sugar is a fasting blood sugar and tells the doctor how your body reacts with out food. The body releases hormones (growth etc.), while the body is at rest. Most hormones are glucose based and can affect blood sugar that is why when women menstruate and children have growth spurts their blood sugars and insulin dosages need to be changed. I would suggest you ask your doctor what blood sugar range he would like you to be in and what you could do to be in better control.
306245 tn?1244384967 can anyone tell me what a normal blood sugar should be in a 7 year old. we had his sugar tested today at ambulance station that was having an open house and they were **** blood sugar test his was 186 he is 1 pound over weight (nothing I am concerned about) and one paramedic seemed concerned and said they thought normal was 100 and another said that no they are the same as an adult up to 200. he didn't fast for this test.
Avatar f tn I have been monitoring my blood sugars at home since at a doctor visit my fasting glucose was 135. Every morning in the past week I have taken it (on empty stomach) it has been in the 130's, only one time it was 114. All throughout the day it is between 129 and 158, sometimes it is 192, 263. I had blood drawn today for A1c, should get the results in a couple of days. I am wondering if these numbers are normal, or do I have a problem?
1058898 tn?1275675151 I notice my blood sugar at night between 2-3 am are over 120 and my fasting blood sugar in the morning is over 100. When i get the fealing of low it is around 80 and it will keep dropping. the last time it went to 67 and i had to eat some thing i couldnt wait. i had a cup of oj and checked in 15 min and it went to 137. I have also notice that i spike about 1 hour after eating and come down around 2 hours after which is mostly in the 130. and i notice if i drink a can of pop.
Avatar f tn It is slightly low but within range. The normal is anywhere between 70-130 and being that you had a fruit smoothie it should of been a little higher. I would just keep an eye on that and the blood pressure. Just mention it to the doctor to see what they say. It doesn't sound to alarming but enough to mention. Good luck.....
Avatar f tn I check my sugar again at 230ish because I was feeling a headache and sugar was about the same at 103. Why would my sugar be the same hours apart. The same thing happened the other day and I had blurred eye vision even though my sugar was at a "normal" #. So I got nervous today and drank a little juice thinking the same thing was going to happen.
Avatar f tn m guesing just the stress on my body of being so sick was elevating my blood sugar levels and once the steroids and other meds kicked in, my levels actually got much more normal. I completely agree that my doctor makes the best decisions as to my medications - was actually more interested in knowing whether the change from 500mg twice daily to 1000 mg twice daily was "normal" course of action.
Avatar n tn I tested my blood sugar this morning and it was 105. Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
Avatar n tn In the event that you had a fasting blood glucose test, a dimension somewhere in the range of 70 and 100 mg/dL (3.9 and 5.6 mmol/L) is viewed as ordinary. In the event that you had an arbitrary blood glucose test, an ordinary outcome relies upon when you last ate. More often than not, the blood glucose level will be underneath 125 mg/dL (6.
Avatar n tn sound like you have DP (dawn phenomenon) your liver decides to be a good dube and releases glucose in the morning so your body has the energy to get going. Unfortunately it ether releases to much glucose or your pancreas cant keep up with insulin so your BG rises. I take that back there is a natural hormone you can take, pig insulin. Metforman has a 30 year history and works well at keeping the liver from releasing glucose.
Avatar n tn When I lowered it to 19 at night, I stopped going low without having any adverse affects to my blood sugar in the morning. It might really be as simple as that, but again, it depends on his specific situation.
Avatar n tn He is sedentary, plays computer and video games all the time. I checked his blood sugar, it was 96 in the morning. I am concerned as he CRAVES sweets, is always hungry and when he uriniates it looks like the foam on a head of beer. Do I ask his doctor to investigate or am I being too cautious??
Avatar n tn My new endo said that the ADA abandoned that range some time ago, and that 70 to 110 is the range to be in with something in the 80s to be good to shoot for, but the closer to 70 (not below)is optimal. Higher than 110 should be avoided. 120 is something to worry about. Then on television last night, the news was running a diabetic segment (since this was diabetes month) and doctors featured there said 60 to 120 was the range. Which range is it???? And what's the optimal target number?
Avatar m tn Well my last blood test by the doctor showed 95 so they said normal and my sugar for the last few Days ha been in the normal range so I'm going to safely say I can rule out blood sugar issues
Avatar m tn Hi Thanks for the comments. I am not a diabetic, only in the beginning of this month the blood sugar level was slightly high i.e. 135 mg. I again done blood sugar test in the middle of this month now this has come down to 107 mg. Doctor has not advised any medicine, only advised to stop taking sugar, sweets containing sugar, decide only after another test in next month. Doctor doubts some neurologist disorders. However, there is no relief to my sole burning sensation.
Avatar f tn My husband has been hurting fi=or over 6 months the doctors here has checked his heart they said he has a inlarged heart an blockage in the veins coming from the head not going to the brain, he has not had a bowel movement for in 8 days now they said he is full of poop.
Avatar n tn In normal children blood sugar will stay close to fasting levels all the time. Ie. his blood sugar is probably in the range of 70 to 90, regardless of what he eats. Actually in non-diabetic adults blood sugar will also stay close to fasting levels all the time.
