Avatar f tn January, normal range 70-110 mg/dL , found 136 (hadn't eaten that morning or the night before) May, normal range 90-100 mg/dL , found 99 (had eaten some cheese the night before) Both morning tests I am 22, is this normal?
Avatar n tn In general, if your blood sugar level is below 100 mg / dL after fasting for at least 8 to 10 hours, then your blood sugar is normal. Blood sugar levels are usually lowest before each meal.
1058898 tn?1275675151 I have not been told if i have diabetes but my Dr. told me to watch my blood sugar because im having symptoms of hypo. I notice my blood sugar at night between 2-3 am are over 120 and my fasting blood sugar in the morning is over 100. When i get the fealing of low it is around 80 and it will keep dropping. the last time it went to 67 and i had to eat some thing i couldnt wait. i had a cup of oj and checked in 15 min and it went to 137.
Avatar f tn But this morning I got really lightheaded and a headache all of a sudden(which I know is normal in pregnancy) but I checked my blood pressure again to see if that was it, and it was perfect. So I checked my blood sugar and it was 79, I had just had a fruit smoothie. The medical assistant at work told me it was low, and then another told me it was slightly low. My question is does anyone know what it should be? I go to the Dr tomorrow so I will ask him, but I'm just curious.
Avatar m tn I noticed my blood sugar never goes above 120. It doesn't matter how much sugar I consume. Most of the time it is in the 80 to 90 range even after eating. Today I ate a breakfast burrito and had orange juice. My blood glucose was 92 thirty minutes after eating. Sometimes it will fall in the 60 range. My fasting blood glucose level was around 80. It seems like my body overcompensates when I consume sugar. Do you think I have reactive hypoglycemia?
Avatar f tn Your fasting blood sugars are within normal range. It is improper to test randomly as it does not provide a clear insight on how your body handles excess sugar. Part of your annual health exam should include testing for diabetes. Go see your doctor for one.
Avatar m tn 1. Check A1C. This gives an average blood sugar over the past 3 months. If this is normal your problem is not likely to be diabetes. 2. Have a urinalysis. Check there's no chronic Urinary tract infection. You could also get kidney function tested (this is creatinine, and BUN). 3. Get your thyroid checked. At least TSH and FT4 (FT3 as well if it's available). What country are you in? At least I've given you some other ideas to think about.
Avatar n tn My blood sugar fasting is 88 and post prandial is 107.Am I suffering from diabetes? What can I do to reduce the sugar levels further. Please advise.
Avatar f tn Hypoglycemia/ low blood sugar would be considered blood sugar levels less than about 70. Your result of 103 is normal, not hypoglycemia. It is likely that your symptoms may be from other causes. Sometimes headaches can be a sign of not drinking enough - so a glass of water and a few minutes to relax / be quiet - may help a lot. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn So because I threw up during the 3hr glucose test, I have to check my blood sugar levels at home for a week. So just curious what is the normal range? I have to check it when I wake up and 1-2 hrs after every meal.
Avatar n tn Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
Avatar n tn So, your blood sugar is JUST outside of normal. Normal range for an adult male is 70 to 100. Your amylase is elevated (range goes to 110 for normal). This is usually related to the pancreas. Have you had pancreatitis lately? Peptic ulcer? Issues with your colon? I guess I'm asking if you've had any symptoms and maybe this is why you got your blood work done. Even alcohol use can cause an increase in this. Many reasons could be the culprit. Not to mention IBS.
Avatar f tn I am also having trouble with low blood sugar. My blood sugar goes from 44 to 255. I know normal is 80-120 . At the Diabetes clinic they said if mine dropped from 50-70 to take gluclose tabs, 8, but my body is reacting like a normal one. I take 4 at 44 which is life threatening low. I also notice that lately it's dropping after I eat which I don't understand. This discussion is related to Blood sugar drops after eating.
Avatar f tn Hello, Normal blood sugars in pregnant women are actually LOWER than normal blood sugars in non-pregnant persons. The totally normal range in pregnancy is somewhere between about 65 and 100. A blood sugar of 79 30 minutes or so after eating is totally normal, and shows no signs of diabetes at all. You should be very pleased with this number. Of course, eat healthy and avoid excess sweets. Take regular moderate exercise. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy.
Avatar n tn ve been having troubles lately before I knew my blood sugar was high, after I would eat I would feel very bad, not knowing I had high blood sugar I was leading a normal diet, even some fast food here and there, I'm sure my blood sugar has been very very high until I started dieting now. Are those numbers normal or should I be worried?
Avatar f tn My ALT consistently came out higher than normal range, 57 and 73 to be precise with normal range upto 55. My blood sugar of fasting and after breakfast also came out above normal range and I am not diabetic. My question is that can high ALT cause blood sugar to rise?
Avatar f tn as an rn, we had to check peoples blood sugar 4 x day. per the lab reports the normal range was 60-110. we as nurses never gave the patient insulin unless they were over 120. your blood sugars aer in the norm range. any lower and you would be hypoglycemic. the A1c test is done separetly from your cbc. this test gives the avaerage your blood sugar has been running over the past 2-3 months.
