It really depends if u need insulin or pills, if you cant control your blood sugar then you take pills if your blood sugar is not high. But if normally your fasting numbers are high then thats why they put you on insulin. I have a coworker that went straight to insulin and shes a diabetic now but her numbers were crazy high like in the 500 when she did the glucose test. The doc just prob know that pills wont help you.

Walking 30-40 minutes every day evening. Today fasting sugar was 140 but after doing yoga for sometime I rechecked fasting which was 186. I drank only plain water. Anybody can help me why this happens.

One more thing: if your physical activity was enough to stimulate your body to produce some adrenalin, your blood pressure could have been caused by adrenalin. So you probably should try a relaxed, RESTING blood pressure test instead of one after a very active evening and see how it is.

My pressure readings are around systolic is better now around 125 - morning evening - 135 but my diastolic is still high around 85-90 morning ,90-95 evening i have stopped tablets since 4 days. Should i continue tabs ( as doc says this age taking tabs will lead to complications like diabetes and nerve issues at later age) Are there specific foods,juices and other natural ways that could help me lower my diastolic?

I went to the ER not long ago and I was told I had very high blood sugar, I had not eaten anything for more than 8 hours other than toast.

I had mentioned to a friend with a diabetic son that after I exercise(run) in the morning my blood sugar will sometimes shoot up 100-150 points and this is after a reading of 120-150 prior to running on my treadmill. Good Morning, I have a question about high blood sugar levels that don't seem to stabilize. My boyfriend has been struggling for years with high blood sugar. He told me this morning that his level was at 480+!!!! He says he doesn't feel any different whether it's high or low. The lowest it's been (to my knowledge) is still in the high range of 200+.

Your doctor is uninformed and irresponsible to be allowing your blood sugar to go so high without advising you to do anything. As Zoelula said, it is your health. It is up to you. He has been to a GP and without doubt suspected a stroke. They instructed him to go for a CT scan, but the results were clear. My father has high blood pressure and high sugar levels of ~9 but is not considered diabeties yet. He was already on asprin for some time for blood thining. He is worried because the doctor has not instructed anything else. Do you have an advice what we should do to prevent anything which could be causing the numbness as it is still happening???
