7375907 tn?1402102372 I haven't taken mine yet, but I've heard that it means your baby has a better chance of being a larger baby? And that some doctors want to induce women who have GD at like 37 or 38 weeks? I think you can decline them doing that, but I'm sure it's safer to follow what they advise! Good luck <3 all will be okay!
212161 tn?1599427282 Our sugar is always high first thing ibn the morning. It's normal.
Avatar f tn It really depends if u need insulin or pills, if you cant control your blood sugar then you take pills if your blood sugar is not high. But if normally your fasting numbers are high then thats why they put you on insulin. I have a coworker that went straight to insulin and shes a diabetic now but her numbers were crazy high like in the 500 when she did the glucose test. The doc just prob know that pills wont help you.
Avatar n tn With normal thyroid function (TSH of 1.2) the thyroid is not likely to influence the blood sugar. The presence of a goiter alone will not change blood sugar - it's only significant hypo or hyperthyroidism that causes sugar fluctuations.
Avatar f tn Hello, fasting blood sugar in the range of 120 - 130 puts you firmly in diabetic territory, as does your hba1c of 7.4 which corresponds to an average blood sugar level of about 180. These levels would already require medications. Consider that normal fasting should be below 90 and normal hba1c is < 5.0. Given your height and weight, you are not overweight. Further you have no family history of diabetes. Therefore, I believe you should be evaluated for adult onset type 1 diabetes.
Avatar f tn Hello I'm new. I'm 6 month pregnancy and my doctor told me that I have high sugar, meaning diabetes during my pregnancy. Who knows some things about it.
Avatar n tn I went to the ER not long ago and I was told I had very high blood sugar, I had not eaten anything for more than 8 hours other than toast.
1058898 tn?1275675151 Your doctor is uninformed and irresponsible to be allowing your blood sugar to go so high without advising you to do anything. As Zoelula said, it is your health. It is up to you. Get yourself educated and get it under control. Else there will be consequences. This is the plain and ugly, but necessary truth!
1773108 tn?1314158067 Good Morning, I have a question about high blood sugar levels that don't seem to stabilize. My boyfriend has been struggling for years with high blood sugar. He told me this morning that his level was at 480+!!!! He says he doesn't feel any different whether it's high or low. The lowest it's been (to my knowledge) is still in the high range of 200+.
Avatar f tn salad, grilled fajita chicken, small amounts of cheese and sour cream, 3 oz guacamole, 2 chicken flautas. Took my blood sugar and it was 67. What does this mean?
Avatar f tn It depends on when the blood sugar was taken. If you were fasting then it's extremely high I'd you had just eaten and depending on what you ate it could be okay.
Avatar n tn Every body is difference, and perhaps yours has an unusual reaction to coffee. Have you tried decaf and seen how your blood sugar does? Have you tried just straight black coffee, no cream or sugar? You might want to experiment a little, to see if it's the caffeine that''s the culprit, and if it is, you might want to give it up. Good luck with the sleuthing.
Avatar m tn There is an extremely and I mean EXTREMELY small chance that Tricor can cause Diabetes, but it is extremely rare. How high was you fasting blood sugar level? What does your doctor say? Let us know so we can hellp provide better help.
Avatar m tn it is based on the the amount of sugar stuck to red blood cells and the assumption that red blood cells live 90 days. if YOUR red blood cells live longer then your A1c will be higher.
956931 tn?1271636169 And you are right, I do not want to have to deal with diabetes on top of everything else, but my blood sugar does run high. I hope it does not disqualify me from the study, but if it does, I will have to try, try again right? To All; I'll update when I get results back from Tuesday's test. Thank you for the comments.
Avatar n tn After I gave him something really sweet to drink about 45 minutes later he was ready to eat. So do we have a problem with low sugar or high sugar? Is this something to worry about? He cant't talk so he can't tell us how he feels. My husband won't have insurance until the end of April. So were kinda stuck at the moment with being able to get anyone to help us. We were also told that since his seizures last that long we should really be worrying about brain deteriation.
Avatar n tn I had mentioned to a friend with a diabetic son that after I exercise(run) in the morning my blood sugar will sometimes shoot up 100-150 points and this is after a reading of 120-150 prior to running on my treadmill. I then have readings that are 200-250 and I get very frustrated! I am a type I diabetic for 26 years. I thought this was strange seeing that I had not eaten anything to make my blood sugar climb so high.
Avatar f tn I m Type-1 diabetic from last 15 years and my blood sugar level used to be under control but from last 2 Weeks, my sugar level fluctuates a lot. Fasting blood sugar is nearly around 300 : before dinner around 500 and after dinner its around 400.There is no change in my diet, exercise or my daily routine pattern. Even I take short acting insulin(novorapid) when my sugar level goes beyond 300 but it doesn't make much difference. I m really worried.
