Your post prandial number of 212 shows that you are developing diabetes, if not actually having it already (but you did eat a very high carb meal).
You should now do a test call Hba1c. This test gives average blood sugars over the past 3 months. A totally normal HBa1c will be less than 5.0. The official cutoff for prediabetes is 5.7. Greater than about 6.5 is actual diabetes.

fasting blood sugar in the range of 120 - 130 puts you firmly in diabetic territory, as does your hba1c of 7.4 which corresponds to an average blood sugar level of about 180. These levels would already require medications.
Consider that normal fasting should be below 90 and normal hba1c is < 5.0.
Given your height and weight, you are not overweight. Further you have no family history of diabetes. Therefore, I believe you should be evaluated for adult onset type 1 diabetes.
It really depends if u need insulin or pills, if you cant control your blood sugar then you take pills if your blood sugar is not high. But if normally your fasting numbers are high then thats why they put you on insulin. I have a coworker that went straight to insulin and shes a diabetic now but her numbers were crazy high like in the 500 when she did the glucose test. The doc just prob know that pills wont help you.

My question is i have type 2 diabetes, and in the morings before i eat my blood sugar reading is 140 to 162
my meds are metformin 1ooo mg in the morning, and 1ooo in the eaving with meals. i allso take
dlipizide 5 mg in the morning before i eat and 5 mg in eaving before i eat.my last ac1 was 7.3
up from 6.9 my urin creatine was 116. and creatine was 1.
I had a test 4 weeks later and it was –ve. But 2 days ago I had my blood sugar tested and it was surprisingly high (still within the average), my question is:
1. can HIV affect the blood sugar and raise it (if its there)?

Exercise will help. You could also try having a small snack before bed (this should be protien and fats - ie. egg with mayonaise, some cheese and nuts, etc). By eating at night you may be able to help your morning blood sugar be a bit lower. When you have extended fasting your liver can put out glucose. It's not risky, but don't know how it would control diabetes. Type 2 Diabetes is a dietary disease, so it's possible it's beneficial effect on some people's digestion might be in play here, as well as its bitter qualities, but others don't do well on it -- it depends on the acid/alkaline state of a particular person's digestive system. Good for those who need it, maybe not so much if you don't.

As sally said... It is carbohydrates that raise BG. rice, pasta, most fruit, breads, fruit juice, soda, potatos all have carbs and will raise BG.
What meds are you on? (pickle juice is NOT a med) Some meds can raise BG does your allergy med raise BG? Google the med and see.
Rather than watch your blood sugar tests, watch the weight scale and eat healthy, clean. Metformin is given to type 2 diabetes that do not control blood sugar with exercise.
Eat less, exercise more to burn up the layers of fat in your muscles and belly fat.
High blood sugars tend to go up after exercise due to muscles and liver releasing stored glycogen. Increasing metformin is not the solution, rather exercise more and eat less.
