Most times the hair loss from alopecia can be fixed with the hair folicles being stimulated by cortisone cream for a few weeks. As much as I hate cortisone cream, I used it years ago after a haematoma (blow to the back of the head and blood clot) as my hair just wouldnt stop falling out. Do you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes? Some diabetes related conditions can cause hair loss like thyroid disease or PCOS. Some medications for high blood pressure may also. I also understand that some folks with a chronic illness may shed hair indefinitely.

I tested my blood sugar this morning and it was 105. Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.

HI 48 year old male, 5 feet 8 inches. 164 lbs. Recently had blood test , Blood sugar came back 128m/dl. Doctor has not recommended any medicines . He suggested to exercise and control the diet. Can someone tell me how high your blood sugar should get before you become alarmed or call the doctor? I have not been diagnosed but a few months and my doctor has not told me much of nothing.
