Avatar n tn Are there any chart available for conversion of sugar numbers from mg dl to mmol?
Avatar n tn I have had a blood sugar test and gave a reading of 6.1 about 1 hour after a breakfast (Weetabix, Milk, Orange Juice). I have to go back and have repeat test but after having nothing to eat approx 9 hours beforehand....will this give an increased or decreased reading.
Avatar m tn HI 48 year old male, 5 feet 8 inches. 164 lbs. Recently had blood test , Blood sugar came back 128m/dl. Doctor has not recommended any medicines . He suggested to exercise and control the diet. Day before the test had a pasta lunch with cola and small pasta fried fish dinner with 2 drinks(alcoholic). dinner complete at 9.00pm. Also had a antidepressant for sleep. Went the next morning for test around 8.am. Is it possible for my test to be wrong given the previous days gluttony.
Avatar f tn Did any of you ladies get realy low blood sugar to the point you passed out? Im 10+2 weeks and terrified its hurting my little bean ... :( ...
577285 tn?1706032371 Blood Sugar Tracker for us diabetic's out there please. It would be an invaluable tool for us to track this VITAL READING. Not only could it be based on those little log books that we all gotta carry around getting all dog eared and full of blood stains as well as getting more expensive to buy , but we could easily make a copy and bring the professional looking and easy to read Chart / Tracker to our Doctors.
Avatar f tn At 72, I've never had any doctor address anything regarding an elevated blood sugar level from bloodwork done every 6 months! Had bloodwork done 2 weeks ago, my blood sugar level is 133...how do I deal with this? What has caused this? Doctor is concerned, not frantic about this today, but I am alarmed.
Avatar f tn 120 mg/dl is a normal random blood sugar level. Generally, below 140 mg/ dl is considered to be normal for random blood sugar.
Avatar f tn Weight loss is not necessarily a symptom, especially of Type 2 Diabetes. Random blood sugar tests are virtually meaningless. He needs to do an A1C which is a test of the average of your blood sugars for the last couple months. If it is not hypoglycemia or diabetes then you need a doctor who will help you figure out what else it might be.
Avatar n tn I tested my blood sugar this morning and it was 105. Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
Avatar f tn Hi am in 31 weeks for my second baby. Random blood sugar level is 161. Is it okay? Or it causes any problem? Also Hb is 9. Please suggest. Am worried so much.
Avatar f tn I am a type II diabetic and I would like to know what is considered a "good" blood sugar reading for me when I test at different times of the day....before meals, after meals, fasting in the morning, at bedtime and other random times during the day.
Avatar n tn Yes I was thinking low blood pressure or perhaps low blood sugar. It could also be an ear /balance problem. Try to eat regularly with some protein with each meal ( maybe smaller meals about 6 times a day with protein). Protein stabilizes the blood sugar if it is low. If it isn't a blood sugar problem you could try takikng benedryl at night and see if this dries up an inner ear problem. It could turn out to be neurological.
Avatar m tn unfortunately testing for diabetes by A1c and fasting or random test (random test gives random results) is not very good. sort of like checking a boat for leaks in dry dock. you need GTT test Glucose tolerance test to see how you react to sugar.
Avatar m tn Hi,When i wake up this morning my blood sugar level was 6.5 ,after 2 hours breakfast it was 8.3 dos this mean i am diabetics? Also last 1 year,I am having random 1-5 pains in my body.. it is travelling through my body.. Nothing came up with blood complete blood count.. btw,I also have kidney stones.. any help ?
1348086 tn?1370783185 What test does your doctor use? If it is a random blood sugar it is virtually useless. Fasting blood sugar is better but still wouldn't catch it if you were spiking after food. The best is to get an A1C which is an average of 3 months worth of blood sugars. You can also get these at a pharmacy and do them at home.
Avatar n tn So just to sum up, first reading (ever using machine) was a 201, two after a few errors was 71,91 (all fasting about 8 hours, different blood samples). Also, had a random lab blood sugar a few months ago of 79 (which I posted about the objecyivity of thay test w/delay, but regartdless...was still only a 79, not anywhere near a 201).
Avatar f tn Low blood pressure and low blood sugar can cause it as well. Try increasing your water intake, or sucking on hard candies and see if it helps.

270696 tn?1243548020 Can anyone please look at my chart and see what you think about today's temp drop?!? Please, I'm desperate to know why it is like that!
Avatar f tn She did a random blood sugar test and the result was 78.. I know this is normal but i am worried it is not accurate because i got tested at around 6pm and the last time i ate was around 6:30 am, i just ate 2 loaves of wheat bread. Is it the reason why my reading was normal and therefore not a good sign if i really am diabetic or not?
Avatar f tn Hi. So, the top number of your blood pressure was 160? What was the lower number? Was this a one time reading? A one time reading may be a fluke. But you should speak to your doctor about this. Obviously that is too high. If your doctor determines that this isn't just a random one off thing and they want to get an idea of your consistent blood pressure, they will ask you to check your BP several times a day and chart it.
Avatar n tn It makes a BIG difference when you test your blood sugar [glucose]. Not knowing your country of residence, the following are testing times with US measurement units. The UK and other countries, like Canada, require conversion from mg/dl to mmol/l. ● Fasting - first thing in morning before eating or drinking anything except water.
