Avatar f tn Well I found out the next day my blood pressure was high. It has been fine since. But this morning I got really lightheaded and a headache all of a sudden(which I know is normal in pregnancy) but I checked my blood pressure again to see if that was it, and it was perfect. So I checked my blood sugar and it was 79, I had just had a fruit smoothie. The medical assistant at work told me it was low, and then another told me it was slightly low. My question is does anyone know what it should be?

Avatar f tn For anyone that finds this in their searches, it turns out that I actually have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Autonomic testing showed a drop in blood pressure after eating which cause these symptoms!
390388 tn?1279636213 Your arteries are becoming inflamed at that reading and you will start to experience high blood pressure as well as be at risk for blood clots in your heart arteries. You need to strive for a fasting blood sugar reading of no more than 100, and believe me, if you ignore that advice, there are consequences of heart, eye, kidney disease. I'd advise you to contact your health professional and report the bp reading/blood sugar results asap.
Avatar f tn It is recommended that you eat 5-6 small meals a day especially in the first trimester (worse time to suffer from morning sickness) but your blood pressure can definitely have an affect also. Just make sure that you move slowly when you get up from a sitting position. I hope you feel better soon.
Avatar f tn I felt very faint but not flushed when my blood pressure was too low and that was because I was taking high blood pressure medication (which as of now my doctor discontinued because they were bottoming me out)....
Avatar f tn My mom and both grandmothers have/had diabetes but they also were overweight, had big bellies and ate horribly, smoked and never exercised. I have low blood pressure sometimes too...never had high blood pressure. I would think diabetes would be highly unlikely.....???
Avatar m tn I am 20 years old eight months pregnant and after suffering from extream heat issues and light headiness i was told to check my blood pressure which was at 147/35 than checking my heart rate was at 103 per min. Is this within normal limits or should i be concerned...or is this natural at this stage of pregnancy.
Avatar m tn Also, 30 mins of exercise a day will have a drastic affect on their blood pressure. I would mostly be concerned about the high blood sugar.
4939681 tn?1361299299 I would lay down, the nurse would take my blood pressure it would be normal. I stood up and my blood pressure dropped dangerously low, about 30 points less which caused me to pass out or become very dizzy in less than a minute. Not sure if yours is like that but I would say Lyme does have an effect on BP because of all the people I know that have that. In my non medical opinion.
11909894 tn?1424448742 I have been tested twice and had high blood sugar each both time before I was recommended a gestational diabetes test, I then had low blood sugar for the 12 hr fast. Having a different midwife each time seems to make things a little difficult and I don't feel safe. The last midwife I had said everything was fine and said they she didn't see anything out of the ordinary when in fact the midwife I had before her had ordered another glucose test out of concern.
Avatar m tn Have you ever gotten your blood sugar tested? What you describe there could be Low blood sugar, Low hematocrit or hemoglobin which means low oxygen, but I guess a fall in blood pressure can make you dizzy and faint! Less pressure means less glucose and oxygen to brain so the brain will get your head a ground level so that it can get the needed glucose and oxygen which is why people faint...........High blood pressure will most likely cause a headache, but then again anything is possible.
4250330 tn?1388621179 I had the same problem I was almost passing out at work several times during a shift, I went to the doctor and they said it was low blood pressure and low sugar, they told me to eat lots of protein and drink lots of juice and water, no more soda, I did this and it helped 100% I have only had one more episode since and I hadn't eaten correctly all day
Avatar n tn Im now 12wks and my doctor says my blood pressure is high. She put me on medication and have check it every morning. Is there any thing I can do to lower it? I know stress free no salt but any herbs ir foods that will help? Or anything u can think of?
Avatar n tn Do you mean low blood sugar? That is often related to our food and was thinking this was why your midwife recommended more frequent meals. I'd see an OB if this persists. Midwives are great but not doctors. I had the opposite of high blood pressure with my first pregnancy. I got weekly BP checks to monitor it. Not sure of complications of low blood pressure on pregnancy but if you are dizzy, that's a cause for concern due to falling. I'd see a true MD to discuss this.
Avatar m tn t worry about that until you see what your average blood pressure is. The blood sugar of 117 in the evening after a large buffet meal sounds pretty normal to me. One more thing: if your physical activity was enough to stimulate your body to produce some adrenalin, your blood pressure could have been caused by adrenalin. So you probably should try a relaxed, RESTING blood pressure test instead of one after a very active evening and see how it is.
646105 tn?1223653476 When I reduced the dosage by a third my blood pressure reduced a bit and my blood sugar returned to normal, but I still had heart palps...after three months. They switched me Synthroid which also produces high blood pressure and a rash. We are currently attempting to wean me off Synthroid and I want to try KELP (iodine) and after a bit introduce L-tyrosine which promotes the production of T3 while the iodine is more T4 related.

1773108 tn?1314158067 Good Morning, I have a question about high blood sugar levels that don't seem to stabilize. My boyfriend has been struggling for years with high blood sugar. He told me this morning that his level was at 480+!!!! He says he doesn't feel any different whether it's high or low. The lowest it's been (to my knowledge) is still in the high range of 200+.
