Avatar f tn hello folks i checked my daughters blood sugar in the morning and it was 101, is that normal for a child. The only reason i checked it was because she has thyroid desiese and i read that they could run together.
Avatar m tn My blood sugar levels have been at 101 for the past few years. I used to have very low blood sugar...in the 50's but I always felt fine. After I had my second child, my levels went up to 85 and 101 after my third child. I appreciate your thoughts as this has been very frustrating.
Avatar m tn My doctor just started me on Tricor and my blood sugar levels have gone up as well. Prior to being on Tricor, my fasting blood sugar has always been between 89 and 101. Now they range from 119 to 125. Any thoughts on alternative medications to lower high tryglicerides?
Avatar m tn Just a few days ago, I got another blood test and my fasting glucose was back up to 101. So in the past year, my results have been 102, 92, 94, and 101. I am 34 years old, very athletic, and not overweight at all. I am concerned about diabetes because both my aunt and uncle on my mother's side had type 1 diabetes, though my mother did not. Should I be concerned about the latest 101 result? Could it be that I just ate something that caused a spike?
647391 tn?1275016633 My fasting blood sugar from a 12 hour fast was 101 and I had AC1 of 6.2%. I see numbers way higher then what I have and yet I have begun Diabetic education with daily monitoring of my blood sugar. Back in 95/96 I was pregnant with Twins and ended up with Gestational diabetes, which was controlled with diet. What do you think?
Avatar n tn If you are prediabetic, yes, DP could apply to you. Different people have varying patterns of onset of glucose impairment, some having higher fasting but normal PPs, some the opposite, some having impairment in first phase insulin response to food, some in second. Often, for Type 2's this process begins years before they are actually diagnosed, and it is only in recent years that pre-diabetes is diagnosed at all!
385161 tn?1270081218 ) So first ultrasound October 16th!!! And i got to cut back pergesterone to 1/2 a cc...pergesterone was 101. Awesome! Ok well congrats this month as there are TONS of bfps on here and good luck to all of those in the dreaded 2ww...keep me posted!! I am praying for all of you!
Avatar f tn Hey Jenny Jenny,! For me it was a gradual process. I started feeling better & having more energy around day 5 or 6. I would say that it was a good 3 weeks before I felt somewhat normal in the energy dept. I will say, that the more active I was, and the more I pushed myself, the better I felt. You are doing awesome! Keep plugging away!
Avatar m tn Hi, Your fasting blood sugar is only slightly high at 101. However, your post eating result of 198 is much higher than it should be. The drs typically give a target after eating of not higher than 140, however, even better if levels say under 100. Now, your hba1c at 6.1 puts you in the prediabetic range, and means that your average blood sugar is close to 140. A truly normal hba1c is 5 or lower, and with average blood sugars of less than 100.
Avatar f tn about 45 mins after my husband had a huge glass of OJ and a bagel his mom tested his sugar just to see how he compared to her and he was at 170 but an hour later it was at 101, should we be concerned? He had a physical 3 mos ago and they did a fasted test and said he was fine.
187666 tn?1331173345 t matter. Maybe he just metabolizes things a little differently. But as long as his overal blood sugar is so good, it seems like he's in good shape.
Avatar f tn I have a fasting blood glucose level of 101 and 102 for several years now and have been taking diovan hct and excedrin. I know these drugs have the ability to raise blood sugar readings. Should I be concerned about these readings? If I get off these drugs will my levels return to normal?
Avatar m tn dear sir, my fasting blood sugar: 103.3mg/dl and HBAIC: 6.7% Sir this alright?
Avatar m tn First when your blood sugar rises too high, causing your pancreas to release a large amount of insulin that drops your blood sugar too low, and second, a slow drop in blood sugar caused by your liver running out of stored sugar. Doctors used to think that insulin-induced hypoglycemia follows meals and that your liver running out of sugar doesn't follow meals, but they now know that both types can occur any time.
Avatar f tn Hello, my daughter is 28 yr old and been having problems with low BP and HR. When this happens (3 times) in the past 6 months she gets dizzy, nausea, pale, fatigue and feels like shes going to pass-out but, she doesn't. Her BP was 89/53 and HR68 and her sugar was 117. This all happen about 1hr after she ate and she was feeling alittle weird before she ate but, figured eating would help. Her boss sent her home and it stayed with her for about 4hrs.
Avatar f tn They are Gona watch what you eat and you'll have to see what you're blood comes out each time after each meal. As long as you stay on the range you'll be fine. For example me, whatever j would eat, my blood would come to the highest 101 when I'm suppose to be lower than 25. It would frustrate me because I'm like umm not suppose to eat this but yet it does not affect me. My second ultrasound, he's weighing good.
Avatar m tn One of the tests I would recommend is a Hemoglobin A1c which can reveal a history of elevated blood sugar. The difference between type 1 and type 2 essentially is in management. Typically type 2 diabetes has adult onset. It can often be managed through diet and lifestyle modification, with/or without the use of oral diabetes medication. Type 1 used to be called Juvenile Diabetes. This was the diabetes most frequently noted in children.
Avatar f tn I have hypothyroidism, and I recently been told that I have hypotension and told to buy a blood pressure machine and blood sugar checker. I have monitored both for a week. I was instructed to check pressure whenever i was dizzy. A lot if times i am not able. This 95/63 and blood sugar 105, 94/50, 97/65 and 120 sugar, 90/63, 112/79 & 105 sugar, 90/62 & 101 sugar, 106/67 &111 sugar. I have been told the dizziness could be an inner ear issue.
1113735 tn?1273174430 I noticed that you mentioned rheumatoid arthritis on your profile. If you have rheumatoid arthritis that would account for the high sedimentation rate since it's a test that measures inflammation. Your iron is high and the hemoglobin is on the high side of normal. It would be significant because females that have rheumatoid arthritis tend to be anemic. Having too much iron can work against the treatment for Hep C. By the way, were you fasting when you had this blood test done?
Avatar f tn But again, you need to cut carbs, lose weight and exercise as you are able. I suggest you get the book Blood Sugar 101 by Jennie Ruhl either online or from Amazon. You need to learn more about pre-diabetes and diabetes.
Avatar f tn Hi, usually for the stress portion of the test (i.e., while walking on a treadmill), 930 MBq (25 millicuries) of myoview are administered and for the rest portion of the test, 333 MBq (9 mCi) are administered. The values mentioned are slightly higher. Don't worry as there is no human data that specifically indicates there is any statistically significant risk from radiation dose equivalents of this magnitude.
330806 tn?1194882349 Get pH test strips from health food store and see if his body is acidic. If so, Wheat grass. NO SUGAR. (sugar feeds fungus in the body) Honey instead. No breads...breads have yeast and mycotoxins. Start him on a fresh fruit/vegetable diet. No microwaving foods...READ AND KNOW EACH AND EVERY CHEMICAL YOU ARE LETTING HIM PUT IN HIS BODY. MSG has 13 different names and is deadly. Know them all.
