Blood in mucus sneeze

Common Questions and Answers about Blood in mucus sneeze

blood

As time has passed every time I blow my nose blood would come out in the mucus. Not a little, not in tiny streaks but alot. The mucus is clear, but with the blood is tinged pink or red. I sometimes have headaches but nothing unusual. Also recently I've been "spitting up" mucus with blood too. Lately I've been feeling really achy and super tired. And my chest hurts, it feels tight. And I've developed a little bit of a cough.
It seems to have gotten worse and you can hear maybe a tearing noise when I sneeze. I'd say it's in the area of my bladder and uterus and it's in the middle, never on my right or left side. The pain goes away shortly after the sneeze but has been sticking around lately. I dread seezing!! I have 2 children but this happened before I had them. Any help is appreciated! I have no insurance so I don't want to get it checked out unless someone thinks it's necessary. Thanks!
I haven't pin pointed exactly what I'm allergic to, but I will sneeze anywhere not just in my own home. I take an over the counter allergy medicine to help and it does help some. My question is...Why do I start sneezing as soon as I get out of bed and stand up? My symptoms seem to settle down as the day progresses and I don't sneeze while I'm in bed for the night. But as soon as I get up it starts up right away.
My 8 year old pug is having gagging/coughing due to mucus in her throat. She tries to cough it up but doesn't and has a hard time breathing when this happens, I have been giving her a product "mucus-Clear"..but I;m not sure it is doing any good. Its at its worse when she sleeps as it must gather and then she cant breath so must get up and try to cough it out. I haven't been able to find anything on line regarding thid specific problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated ??
it is like a small round phlegm ball with some blood in it. it happens sometimes if i sneeze to and usually just first thing in the morning. i am keeping a close eye on it and it isnt getting worse yet but my dr said if it dont go away in two weeks she will run more tests.
The glob was white and seemed like a really thick mucus and it had globs of blood on it and a green mucus around it. I found that after that one sneeze I just had to blow once (clear mucus came out) and my nose was clear again. My throat and head still hurt really bad and now I am kinda feverish. Are this glob and sickness related or do I just have a cold and this just happened to happen now. Also I read that this was common after a surgery but I have never had any kind of surgery!
Only by medicine like Sudafed, olbas oil or some nasal spray it stops. Morning time is worse when I spit out lot of mucus and sneeze a lot. As day progresses it becomes little comfortable. I have seen many doctors till now but nobody takes it serioulsy, they prescribe some drug and thats it. Recent doctor after doing blood test said I have allergy to dust and all thats why I get this problem every now and then. Doctor also said there is no cure to this. But I am sick of the problem now.
This morning, after blowing a little bit, I noticed there was a fair amount of blood in it. I don't feel as though I have a fever, and most of the sinus headache I had a few days ago is gone. I don't feel the pain and tenderness that most people associate with sinus infections. It's just consistent stuffiness and large amounts of this intense, yellow junk in my nose, along with the teeth thing.
in the last two weeks i have had three blood vessels just pop in my fingers. i was not doing anything out of the ordinary. what could be causing this? should there be a cause for concern?
My room is hot and I'm not sure if the air conditioning is part of the problem causing my throat to hold this mucus. I do believe that it is quite possible that sitting in a small, heated room is part of the problem, because after sitting in the big opened up place in the living room all day, I actually started feeling somewhat better.

For the past 3 days, I have had mucus and blood in my stool. It started with a clump of mucus just falling into the toilet after urinating. It had a tinge of blood in it. Then I began wiping greenish/bloody mucus when I went to the bathroom. My stools are covered with blood and mucus at the ends. After passing stool - which is normal consistency - No diarreah or constipation, the mucus stops for a few hours. The mucous mixed with red blood drips into the toilet even when I urinate.

Because lately there's a streak of blood with my mucus specially when I sneezes, but the blood doesn't really goes out, but when Im cleaning my nose thats the time when I can see the streaks of blood. I'm not having any cough or something and there's no blood in when I cough but it's just my nose that i think that's been really irritated easily lately, cause I sneeze a lot than before, specially in the morning. And I feel like my nose is always congested, and having a runny nose.
This is common in people with vascular problems, as it is a vascular problem in the lining of the nose and sinuses. When there is increased blood flow, there is increased drainage. Most likely, this is coming from your sinuses and therefore drains down the back of your throat and not out of your nose. A couple of things might help. First get a CT scan of the sinuses to be sure there is no infection. Next, I would suggest a trial of oral steroids for a short period of time.
I think the key points with thick mucus problems are excessive secretion of mucus and reduced flow of mucus, therefore you have accumulated thickened mucus in the throat. In order to reduce phlegm, we need to cut back mucus secretion and clear the mucus flow path. If we can acheive both, we will be ok.
Every so often, usually after a sneeze or a sniff, I get a foul smell in my nose that only I can smell. It's hard to describe. It's a combination of many bad smells put together. It makes me not want to eat, because it's not even worth eating anything for the enjoyment of food. (It would probably be good for someone trying to lose weight). :-) I tried to pinpoint the cause, but I haven't been successful. It's usually gone after a night's sleep. A nap doesn't always do the trick.
I've been to see a psychiatrist. I've done meditation. Ive a pain in my upper gum and constant blood clot in my inside nasal area. I've photocopied my GP's notes and he thinks i'm imagining it! He thinks I have olfactory hallocinations! Great. Why didn't he have the balls to tell me. I don't want to be pessemistic - but i fear i may have to live with it. Maybe to should get together and setup a Stink commune -HAHAHA! I've learned to laugh at it all.. its that or cry.
It often starts when I have been lying on my side or if I am supporting my upper body on one arm. After a while if I move I will feel a pain in the sternum, this can be quite uncomfortable. If I move my arms together or bend forward this will get worse, however sometimes if I bend backwards and spread my arms wide and up into the air I will hear and feel a click or series of clicks from my sternum.
I do live in an old home that is dusty, with a dog, and work in a dusty office. I am also sneezing, or feeling like I need to sneeze, all the time. My eyes at times are itchy and red. The cough is SO annoying, I just want to get rid of the tickle. I've been to my GP three times, and to the emergency room twice (also diagnosed with panic disorder, as I was having chest pains because I had myself convinced I had lung cancer). I also had blood work done. So far, everything appears to be normal.
I've been reading what every1 has been writing and its helping me. I've been trying to find out whats going on with me. It started wen I noticed some spottin a week before my period was due, (mine are always on schedule & very heavy) that lasted a few days & stopped. I feel like im pregnant & so i took 4 home pregnancy tests all came out positive. I went to the dr & 2 urine tests came out negative.
I also have a bit of mucus in my throat as well. Any information would be great and if I need to get to a hospital ASAP would be great to know as well. It'd be silly to call an ambulance but I can't get to the doctor like I said. Also, I've only ever had the flu once when I was 5 or 6 and cannot recall anything to know whether this would be or not. I also have seasonal allergies but have never had anything swell this bad, except when I was little my eyes would often swell.
Also had a huge dark greenish purple booger come out this morning, which I guess is dried blood and mucus.
Since your esophagus is connected to your sinus it is creating a sucking pressure in your sinus and eustachian tubes moving the mucus around and creating the crackle, pop, fizz whatever sound. I developed this after sinus surgery to repair a deviated septum and relieve sinus pressure. It sounds harmless but I always wonder if there is some clog in my sinus that has not been completely relieved. I should get another MRI.
i have them sometimes mine r seemingly from getting small bits of food in the little wholes in the throat and the mucus kinda creates a pearl around it overtime its gross but not unhealthy luckly...
At other times when I run, I do have to spit mucus, but the coughing and gagging occur in the morning only. My morning routine before running is to drink several cups of regular black coffee and eat Cheerios cereal and a carton of yogurt. I take Advair 250 for asthma (the asthma started about 3 years ago, I am 62 years old), also have started taking Claritin in the evening and also take an albuterol inhaler prior to running.
wakes me up in the middle of the night also. and, the next day, if feels achy. i TOO am on high blood pressure medicine. had all the tests done, nothing shows up, dr thinks i have head issues.
