I am sure the doctor will get back to you, but you really have to make sure and show this to your child's doctor. I have learned that the blood sugars he is having are not normal and he needs to be seen tomorrow. He needs the follow up testing asap and needs an A1C test. Her post eating numbers are not terribly high, but actually they are probably on the high side for a child. I would recommend you do stay in touch with the Dr.

the doctor has told me b.s have to be in normal range if not i will be put on insulin for my pregnancy and then after birth i can stop and continue diet control again,but i am worried if my body gets used to insulin how will i manage without it .and also how safe is it in pregnancy and are there any side effect s,i am thinking now should i not have any more children i am so confused and stressed out i am sacred to turn on the blood suger machine in case i get i high reading .thankyou.

Before I start, I have Celiac Disease (autoimmune disorder of intestine). I went to an endocrinologist recently for low blood pressure. My average blood pressure is around 80/50 and definately drops when I stand up. I was put on Florinef and Midodrine about a year ago to treat this, but my Endo found out last week in his office that it was not working. My BP was lower than before. He sent me for some tests as he feels it may be adrenal insufficiency, here are the results.

I went to the emergencyroom back in march. They did blood tests and my glucose was 104 which they considered high(normal being up to 99) They never said anything to me about this and as far as I know, I have never had this before. I had to go to the emergency room again last month and again, they did blood work. My glucose level was only 88. I am just wondering if I should be looking into this. Could I be diabetic? They never said anything about the high level.
However at this range it is also better to start with medications for diabetes to bring down the blood sugar levels. Please consult an endocrinologist for the same.

Most hormones are glucose based and can affect blood sugar that is why when women menstruate and children have growth spurts their blood sugars and insulin dosages need to be changed.
I would suggest you ask your doctor what blood sugar range he would like you to be in and what you could do to be in better control.
Does a persons age play a factor for their "normal" fasting glucose range? During my last visit to my 82 yo mother, I happened to see her test results that showed her fasting glucose range topping out at 180 mg.
I, on the other hand, being 60 yo & under immunosuppressant meds have a range from 50 - 150 mg, yet I constantly hear the normal range is 70 - 120. Both of our blood samples are tested at the same lab too. So what is the "normal" fasting glucose range?
