Common Questions and Answers about Blood blister treatment

blood

Hello, Blood blister is a type of blister that forms when subdermal tissues and blood vessels are damaged without piercing the skin. Give rest to the part, apply cold compresses, soak the blister in Epsom salt and avoid its rupture. If the blister breaks, quickly rinse the area and apply an antiseptic such as neosporin. It is not recommended to break a blister because it may often lead to infection. If the symptoms worsen or persist then please consult a dermatologist. I hope it helps.
Blood blisters are a type of blister that is filled with blood caused by a rupture of the blood vessels underneath the skin’s surface. This rupture is usually caused by some form of trauma, such as biting. For the most part, blood blisters do not require special medical attention. Blood blisters that are severe or that reappear, however, may require medical treatment. Try to avoid popping the blister to prevent infection. Gargling with mouth antiseptic may also help.
I am almost positive that I have a blood blister on my face under my eye. I have looked all over the internet for ways to get rid of it, but I couldn't find anything out about them on your face. I don't know what caused it either. How can I get rid of it?
I am a bit concerned that this has been going on for a month-- that is a long time for a simple blood blister! The general treatment would be to relieve the pressure-- although I don't know why you would still have active bleeding after this much time! Given the pain you are having I am concerned that something else is going on-- infection, for example. If you do have it looked at (and I think you should), please come back and tell us what it was.
Hello, It is very rare for a blood blister to leave a scar. Microdermabrasion and laser treatment are the two main treatment options. Please discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
perhaps I shouldn't call it a blood blister. More like some kind of vein/tract. Seems like the blood keeps storing up in this little deposit. What is this? How do I help it?
Then it turned into what looked like a water blister with a small white tip center. Finally after continuous irritation ( biting it while eating) I popped it. It was simple. Fluid came out and a little blood. It rapidly filled again. Popped it again. Filled again and I popped it again this morning. It doesn't hurt. It is just annoying cuz it rubs against that incisor. Why won't it go away? Or at least get smaller? Is there anything I can do besides gargling with salt water?
He has neuropathy and no feeling in his feet. This morning I saw a fresh blister on his big toe. There is no sign of infection, but his feet are chronically purple so it's hard to assess. My plan- soak twice a day with epsom salts, dry carefully and wear clean cotton socks after each soak. Anything else I should be doing? Should he be on prophalactic antibiotics?
my crotch area itches some and today i started reading about herpes. so i don't know if it is simply a blood blister of sorts of herpes related and i'm concenred (based upon what i read here) that even an std test won't tell me if this is herpes or not. thanks!
For the past month I've had this kind of blood blister grow on the tip of my right ring finger. The blister is NOT under my nails but on the tip of my finger adjacent to the nail. I will attach a photo. In the beginning it started as a small reddish bump and I would accidentally bump it somewhere and it would bleed for a few minutes and then it would stop. For the past 2 weeks I've been very careful to not bump it anywhere and it hasn't bled since.
Might be a "blood blister" bleeding under a layer of the eye. If vision is clear, no pain and stays small likely will not need any treatment.
i was a the beach for a couple of days, now I just noticed my right eye very blood shot and a small blister appeared did i possibly get too much sun and injured my eye by not wearing sun glasses? what do I do for that? can I just apply warm compresses or salt water?
I went to the dentist last week after two porcelain caps broke off - large front tooth and bicuspid (or incisor). I now have temporary crowns which cover three teeth - one will be a bridge to the other two. I have a "bump" which appears to be a blister on the roof of my mouth near the gum line above the bicuspid. Should I be taking an antibiotic, and will this go away in time? I have a cyst on my inner right breast, it is behind a scar from the removal of another cyst 2 years ago. the scar has puffed out and looks like a big blister. the top layer of skin has started peeling and oozing little bit of yellow puss and also bled like as if you split a chaped lip. part of the scar looks as if it has a dark coloration like blood. I have an appointment to have the cyst drained in a couple of weeks...

I woke up this morning and my right eye was real blood shot. As the day went on it felt like something was in my eye so I took a better look. I have a large blister on the white of my eye between my tear duct and pupil and it looks like it is filled with puss. Is this something that will go away on it's own or do i need to see a dr.
Hi, I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let yo know that we're happy that you have found this Forum. I need for you to understand that there are NO Doctors on this Forum, We are ALL CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other thru our own experiences and expertise that we have gotten thru our own pain conditions!! I'm VERY sorry that you had this happen to you. I've done something similar MANY years ago and I KNOW how painful that is.
Hello, The symptoms looks more like cheilitis skin rather than cold sore. Diagnosed by blood test like RAST. Treatment is by topical steroids or oral therapy of corticosteroids in severe cases. Topical creams like tacrolimus ointment (Protopic) and pimecrolimus cream (Elidel) are also useful. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Hi, i have some tiny red blister on the inside of my vagina they have been there for over 7. they do not leave nor hurt or itch. however, I'm worried this could be herpes. they have been the same size and do not seem to heal. i have herpes type 1 and have had many outbreaks but never last for months only two weeks. can someone help me figure this one out. also, i went to the doctor about 6 months ago and had a blood test done and it came back megative for herpes type 2. Only + for type one.
The next day it turned into a water blister. No redness, it didn't hurt unless something touched it. That night it drained but didn't go flat, wasn't AT ALL sore or red, just was a very superficial thing. It has never gone flat, nor has it opened to reveal a sore. The blister appeared Sunday and was gone Sunday night, but the little bump under the blister remained. It doesn't look red, there has never been any pain or itching or anything associated with it.
More than half of the population has HSV1 born with it, you could have had it as a child or contracted before your wife and only shedded the virus but never had an actual blister. you don't need to have a blister to have HSV. It is clear that you are infected with it according to your blood test and unless you have any reason to feel your wife is cheating on you I would try to relax and comfort your wife.
Livercare/liv.52 has been recommended as a herbal treatment for cirrhosis. Is there any merit to this or any other remedies? No medication or treatment has been prescribed for the treatment of my husband's disease. Doctors just say go home and don't drink alchohol. It seems to me that if there is treatments for cancer and other life threatening disease, there should be treatment for cirrhosis.
Your original posts stated you were female, that you had been diagnosed with herpes, and your boyfriend had symptoms. I was told also that I can't retest for H Pylori until about 1 month or 2 after the treatment. 11) September, a month after the treatment, i went to request for a H Pylori breath test. However, when i get to the clinic, they can't do it for me, because I was still on Losec, and I need to be off Losec for at least 2 weeks to be able to take the test.
I've never have had a fever blister so I am thinking that it is just from the treatment. I guess I should have asked if there is a difference between abreva or the store brand.
For me what I think is the little blood blister things are the remnants of the RibaRash that I've scratched. The rash itself before I itch it is little white bumps I think but then once I scratch them..red red red. I don't know if you mean but if this makes sense to you than that is what they are.
