I got the following irregularities in my urinalysis: Urine blood: trace Leucocyte: +++ (bacteria present) Pus Cells (wbc): numerous Test repeated. Similar results. I have no pain whatsoever so far. Now a more detailed culture test is being done. Now awaiting results. Meanwhile, may I know what could the results mean? Can this be cancer? Thanks.
I'm a 34 year old male - consider myself healthy, non-smoker, limited alcohol intake. I just had blood work and a urinalysis done as part of a self-initiated health check-up. I didn't go to my primary but just through a private company that uses Labcorp. Everything looks fine: negative or within range. Except for part of the urinalysis where crystals, Amorphous sediment was found. What does this mean? Is this something to be concerned about?
Is it possible to have a hypoglycemic, or diebetic reaction from consuming alcohol before falling asleep. I have, in the last few years had the same experience a few times. I would go to dinner and have probably two to three drinks during the course of the evening. When I get home and go to bed, I fall asleep, but about two hours later I wake up with my heart racing, cold sweats, and tingling in my hands and arms.
That was a month ago, and i was fine 3 or 4 days after first indications. Before two weeks i drink a bit of alcohol and i have blood in urine (or just different color) just once without any pain, and the same happened yesterday. Do you think that previous infection have some connection with changing of urine color after drinking alcohol? Also i am taking other drug now Immunilflor, and i think this is happening when i mix alcohol and drug.
You Doctor may request for some blood tests, urinalysis, urine culture, and an ultrasound or CT scan. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
This one came back with no white blood cells but still had blood. I went back to my GP and had yet another urinalysis done, same thing, blood in urine but no white blood cells. I spoke with a Urologist who said it may be Urethritis and to mention that to my GP. My GP but me on Augmentin. I will be finished with my Augmentin today and it seemed to get better for a day or so but now I am urinating every hour as before and still have pains in my lower back.
It sounds like you are asking whether alcohol is causing your sleep and allergy symptoms? I think that alcohol is indeed causing your problems. I had very similar problems that disappeared after I quit drinking. I had sleep apnea, terrible snoring, nose bleeds, sneezing fits and trouble sleeping for more than one to two hours at a time. Try complete abstinence from alcohol for a few days and see what happens. If you are addicted to alcohol, this will be rather difficult.
This infection can be suspected when there are symptoms of UTI and urinalysis detects pus cells and blood but no bacteria, and standard culture grows no organism. There are a few treatment regimens for Chlamydia; these include Azithromycin 1 g single dose, or doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 7 days, or levofloxacin 500 mg once daily for 7 days, etc. All these regimens are administered orally.
Hello, There is no direct relation between alcohol intake and hematuria. Presence of visible blood clots in urine is called gross hematuria or macroscopic hematuria. This signifies any underlying medical conditions which needs investigations to confirm.
My husband is 25 years old and has many problems with bleeding after urination and having blood in his semen. We have been to a few doctors about it, and the problem still continues. The first doctor said there was a stricture in the urethra and performed a laser procedure to remove it. Also, during that procedure, my husband was circumcised. He had a catheter for a week, and everything was fine after the healing.
Yesterday was a day which left me in complete and utter shock, to say the least. You see, last month my pain management doctors office performed "urinalysis" testing on ALL patients. I am 100% honest with my doctor and we have always had a good patient/doctor relationship. With how extreme the damage is to my back and the nerves they have said "it is inoperable and all we can do is try to keep you comfortable".
Hello, It is not common to have blood in urine. Drinking alcohol has no relation to that.If you are passing different-shaped clots in your stream, they could represent bleeding from the urethra or prostate (in men). Clots can be wormlike, and if associated with pain it could represent clots coming from your ureters(tubes from your kidneys to your bladder).
3 days later, and no appetite, vomiting, and extreme pain still, had to go to another hospital. Blood and infection in urine, and infection in bloodstream. I was completly out of it. They gave me another kind of antibiotic and pain pills. Came home early from trip 3 days, and went to the doctor in my hometown. Low grade fever, blood and infection in urine.. and they gave me yet another antibiotic.
This is usually an inflammation of the bladder following infection. You will need to have a urinalysis done. This is to identify the organism causing the infection and may be followed by a culture sensitivity test to determine which antibiotic the organism is sensitive to. Antibiotic therapy is prescribed based on the organism identified and the sensitivity ascertained on culture.
recently and brought this to his attention they ran a quick analysis in the office (just using a strip) and they said everything looked normal but there was apparently blood detected in the urine. I am now going to the lab to have my urine tested and anlayzed. This is making me neverous since I have been trying to alter my diet drinking more water and avoiding certain things like coffee and alcohol but I still see that this is foamy/cloudy urine and it has been like this for the past 2 months.
Well, about a week ago, when urinating, toward the end of urinating I noticed blood come out, so I became extemely worreid, so I contacted my doctor. When I went he took urine sample. (its been a week since the doctors office visit) The day after the doctors visit, my left testicle began to become sore along with my left lower abdomen just above the base of my penis, so I called the doctor on call and he said to apply heat and take aleve and see how it felt in the moring.
blood in urine, urinating frequently, finding other spots in the house to go, small amounts of urine. Is there anything over-the-counter I can get to treat her? I really can't afford vet care at the moment. I really appreciate any advice you give me.
i was having urinary urgency since last few days( 5-6 ) n today after 5 days i saw few blood clots too. earlier also i had this problem.after consultation n my tests reports ie my blood test and ultrasound everything was normal. and i had sex 5 days before. am unsure what my problem is this. please let me know if it is somehow related of my involvement in sex?
Hello, Blood in the urine can present in one of two ways: gross hematuria (blood that you can see in the urine), and microscopic hematuria (blood that is only seen when the urine is examined under a microscope). Both types can have serious causes. If you are passing different-shaped clots in your stream, they could represent bleeding from the urethra. Clots can be wormlike, and if associated with pain it could represent clots coming from your ureters(tubes from your kidneys to your bladder).
However, when I got back, my girlfriend and I had sex (very vigorously) and after we were done, a small drip of blood came out of my bloodstream. It happened a few days later when we had sex again. It does not show up when we're not having sex, but only immediately after. Can this be a type of infection? Why does it only show up after sex? Any responses are greatly appreciated.
I took the medicine and the blood went away instantly. Then, around Oct 2007, I noticed that I had blood on my tissue after I urinated. The blood appeared briefly in Oct and Nov 2007 but, it only appeared within 2-3 days of my menstral cycle. I went to the doctor, again. The doctor said that I did not have a UTI and suggested that I see a Urologist or a Gyn, in case it was vaginal bleeding. Well, the day after I went to the doctor, I did not see anymore blood on my tissue.
I have had low blood pressure my entire life, with the exception of the past 7 months. When I say high blood pressure, it has been about 135/95 which I used to always be 110/70 or less. My doctor today told me that it's just genetic and I shouldn't be concerned, but I am very concerned. At 30, I should be able to walk up a flight of stairs without feeling like my heart is going to burst out ot my chest!!! I also seem to really have an intolerance to exercise lately, which is new.
At the urologist office today the urine sample came back with couple + bacteria 50 to 75% white blood cells and 100% red blood cells. Then a cystscope was performed to determine where the blood was coming from because this was the major concern with all the urine samples. Blood was showing up in all of them. I was told that there was a red line in my bladder.
Im a 22 year old female that over the last 12months has experienced a serious of kidney infections (with protein and blood being detected in my urine samples). I started with more frequent trips to pass urine, offensive smelling urine and extreme pain predominantly in my left kidney, which was always at its worse when waking up in the morning. For several weeks a ignored the pain until it became too painful to bear.
Overall, if you came to my office for me to review the findings above, I would suggest a blood test to check for liver and kidney function, a urinalysis and I would review your alcohol intake as well as any other medications you may be taking which could cause the abnormalities above. (i.e. steroids, etc).
i had sexual intercourse about 7 or 8 times before seeing a doctor. the same occurred except for 2 times, in which no blood appeared. but the majority of times blood came out in the sperm, or only after ejaculation during urination, or both in the sperm and the urine. once i woke up without having had sex that week and urinated blood. i tested my blood, sperm, and urine and the only abnormality was a high psa level. my dr said it is very rare and is that high in 40/50 year old.
Simple question here, has anyone ever had a negative blood test and negative urine test and went on with their daily routine and a month or so later found out you were in fact pregnant while having ultrasound done. If this has happened to anyone or perhaps someone you know, please respond, I'd appreciate the information. Thanks.
Hi Luis, Yellowish semen is usually an indication of infection and needs a few tests to check what type of infection is present so that the correct treatment can be started. This will include a urinalysis and an examination of your semen and may include a few blood tests. As most of the infections that demonstrate change in semen are sexually transmitted infections, your doctor would also insist that you be checked for STDs.
I have a kidney infection and it has traces of blood init I need help This discussion is related to Kidney Infection?.
I decided to go see a doctor. My urinalysis came back normal, my blood work did not. While my kidneys are seemingly healthy, my liver appears to be in trouble. The results of my blood work show I have a high Total Bilirubin (TBIL) count of 2.2 and a low Alkaline Phosphate (ALP) count of 51. I should mention that my diet for the past 6 months has been terrible, a LOT of mcdonald's, other junk foods and almost no vegetables.
