Avatar f tn Hello, there is not an easy conversion between unit syringes and cc syringes and you have a very high risk of overdosing (= dangerous). If you are in US you might be able to buy some unit syringes over the counter at wall mart chemist or another chemist. It is very important that you control your blood sugar well. Although it is not widely discussed, it is possible to reuse insulin syringes providing:- 1.
Avatar f tn how can i help my dad getting over his alcohol dont get mw wrong hes been off it for four week now but he keep on taking painkiller everyday and hes not eatting that much as well is there any vitamins or anything that could help him.
630344 tn?1280104983 I was just wondering if anyone has tried this and if they have had any help with pain for it? I am 31 years old, and I have constant pain in my neck and shoulders. I had extensive blood work done and nothing has shown up. I get tension headaches from my muscles not releasing. I have tried acupuncture, heat and ice, almost all the muscle relaxers that the docs have prescribed me, dry-heat sauna, massage, stretches, injections, and nothing has helped. Any input is helpful.

Avatar f tn Also my T3 FREE is measured in PG/ML (2.45) and T4 measured in NG/DL (0.31) which also is a different unit of measure than the tracking chart... What is the conversion between AU and IU?
Avatar f tn If you are talking about the weight tracker on MedHelp, then you can add your weight in pounds only. For conversion you will need a conversion scale. You can change the unit on an application only if there are multiple provisions to add in your weight in different systems. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar m tn I am having an upcoming surgery tkr, so I had a unit of blood drawn and put aside for me, just in case I needed it......got a phone call from the doctor's office saying the blood bank tested it and it came back both positive and negative for CHAGAS disease........I am a 67 year old female .....never had a transfusion......have not been to south America.....and live on long island NY......I did some research and am very worried.......
Avatar m tn It stands for nanograms (a unit of measure for weight) per milliliter (a unit of measure for volume). Benzoylecgonine is a metabolite (the body changes substances put into it into other substances that can be measured) of the narcotic cocaine and can be measured by urine or hair samples and allows someone to tell long-term if an individual has used this substance. The number 860ng/mL means that is the concentration of benzoylecgonine found upon testing of the sample.
487031 tn?1208808714 your husband is killing himself with the alcohol. most likely his internal organs are enlarged or fatty. if he starts puking blood then he has a GI bleed, and needs to get to the ER immediately. he probably needs to go to the ER anyway so they can send him to a detox unit for a few days. then AA is good. but only if he wants to stop drinking. you may want to suggest AA to him, but don't pressure him.
Avatar n tn The reason you find drinking moderately now affects you is that your body got used to the heavy drinking and now it is converting alcohol quicker in your liver. Alcohol is technically a poison which our livers de-tox then re-tox to give you the high. It takes approximately one hour for a drink to not cause damage, but many people drink more than 2 or 3 standard drinks an hour and end up with damage.
Avatar m tn Been on Viread since end of March 2012. My quantitative PCR in Nov. 11 was 17587; Feb 2012 was 7895, May 2012 was 63. So there is a reduction in HBV DNA, which is great....but Is there a "conversion" from PCR to IU/ml? Can I tell from these results if it good to start Pegasys as an add-on yet, or can you only base this on levels of hbsag? Also how are the treatment programs of stef2011and grmr coming along?
Avatar n tn Are there any chart available for conversion of sugar numbers from mg dl to mmol?
667016 tn?1238891904 I've done research on both of these - as I've got a T4/T3 conversion problem at cellular level, caused by micronutrient imbalances & estrogen dominance. The information I've read is pretty in depth & complicated. I still can't quite get my head around T3 resistance, the more I research - the more confused I get! Is having a conversion problem & being T3 resistant the same thing?
Avatar f tn I'm like you about the alcohol. I'm undx, but found out a few years ago that alcohol makes me feel even worse than normal. My daughter bought me a bottle of wine for my birthday on Friday, so I said what the heck, "it's my birthday" WRONG!!! Shouldn't have done that!!! I only drank two very small glasses and it made me feel horrible. Tingling, weak legs and the feeling like any energy I did have had seeped out. It is a really bad feeling.
10947 tn?1281404252 With this tracker, you can track the results of various lab tests, including White Blood Cell (WBC) Count, Red Blood Cell (RBC) Count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, iron levels, total iron-binding capacity (TIBC), and transferrin saturation. This tracker can be used on its own or in conjunction with the other trackers, such as Hepatitis C, HIV, Thyroid, and Kidney Disease. You can access the CBC Tracker here: http://www.medhelp.org/user_trackers/gallery/cbc .
Avatar f tn It has to be ordered by his unit and his unit doesnt seem to care. Thank you so much for your concern on my husbands behalf. I am at a dead end and dont know what else to do.. i guess one voice isnt loud enough in this situation.. and theres nothing i can do from here in the states. If my husband were home, we would be at the doctor figuring this out. But to the army.. he is just another soldier. What scares me is, it so very easy for him to have another heat stroke under the same conditions..
