Blood alcohol per hour

Common Questions and Answers about Blood alcohol per hour

alcohol

Avatar n tn Hard to say for sure. You generally burn off an ounce of alcohol per hour. Take the ounces of wine, about 8% alcohol or so... get the number of ounces of alcohol and multiply to get the hours to metabolize it... but then you will have some breakdown products for a few hours as well that will look suspicious. The best bet is to go back in time and don't drink the wine.
Avatar f tn That pace is .015 of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) per hour. So that means for every hour you are not drinking, .015 of the alcohol in your body is being metabolized and disappearing from your body (thanks to David J. Hanson, Ph.D. for this information). So, if your BAC was 0.08 (legally impaired), it would take about 5.33 hours for the alcohol to be eliminated from your body." Hope that helps.
Avatar n tn sex (male or female) weight age metabolism speed how much food eaten type of alcohol how quickly alcohol was consumed if there are other substances involved liver problems On average the body can eliminate 0.015% BAC per hour, so depending on the person and type of alcohol, they may have a BAC of 0.02% – 0.03% at a rate of 1 drink per hour. That means, the body can take 1 – 2 hours to metabolize the alcohol consumed in that hour.
Avatar f tn So my baby seems very active. But it's not like he kicks exactly 10 times every hour. Sometimes it's like 20-30 times per hour sometimes it's a lot less. Should I be worried. He seems very strong and active, in my opinion and moves around a lot.
10389360 tn?1410823968 I just turned 29 weeks today and the video indicated that you should feel baby 10 times per hour. I dont feel this every hour and my OB never mentioned having to reach this...is this accurate? Are most babies thia active? Im on mu feet all day but as soon as i relax baby moves..
Avatar f tn so one standard drink in the first two hours, and one standard drink every hour after that = roughly one hour per drink for it to leave the system. Same as driving.
Avatar n tn I asked for help on here a couple weeks ago for my alcohol intolerance/allergy. The first couple of times I ever drank I my forearms would swell up and break out in hives and itch very badly. I haven't gotten the hives in a while but my forearms still swell up and itch. Someone on here told me that I should take an antihistamine such a levocetrizine or cetrizine. I took 1 Zyrtec and I felt fine for a couple of hours but my arms eventually swelled up and started to itch again.
475570 tn?1280941363 I am on Carvedilol 12.5 mg 2per day -Lisinopril 20 mg 2 per day- Diovan 80 mg 2 per day -synthroid 1.25 1per day plavix 75 1 per day. asprin 81 mg. Vytorin 10-40 . I n spite of all these meds My pressure is still 168 /87. I have had a kidney test and blood test and that is well. What else could cause this high pressure.
Avatar f tn So, by 8PM the next day you are completely out of alcohol in your body. With the calculations of one ounce per hour, you ran out by 2pm. And who knows, if it was only 1 ounce per drink? By 8PM your body is mad at you. A common relief is more drinking, which gets you on the alcoholism roller coaster. Do you want to be on this ride? For a long time? You'd be better off taking up an extreme sport. Back country skiing, rock climbing, white water kayaking, sail-kiting.
Avatar m tn the body can only filter a certain amount per hour, which results in the absorption of the remainder into the organs via the bloodstream. the brain is affected quickly as alcohol will cross what is called the blood-brain barrier due to its solubility. this can compromise involuntary actions such as heartbeat, breathing and gag reflex. organs such as the liver and pancreas can suffer tissue destruction resulting in everything from lowered function and scarring to complete organ failure.
Avatar n tn Best way is to take it (in known amount) and check your blood sugar 30 minute and then 1 hour after taking it. If your blood sugar does not go up significantly / is still in target range, then you can tolerate it. If your blood sugar goes too high, then you should avoid sugar alcohol as well.
Avatar m tn I have been experiencing lightheadedness, very light that coincide with bm urges. I feel better if I can completly eliminate. My stool is ussualy soft. Along with this from time to time is a pounding heart/pulse, palpitations that my doc says are not the "dangerouse kind". I have had an endoscopy, a colonoscopy, and a 24 hour heart monitor. all normal with the exception of about 10 skipped heart beats per hour.
Avatar f tn 29 oz) If you have 2 of that size within that hour your blood alcohol level will go up. If you have two in less than half an hour you will no doubt be over the legal driving limit. Women metabolise alcohol faster than men, and smaller bodies do so faster as well. So No, the Graves is not the issue. The amount and time of the drinking is the issue. I know from having been in the US the glass for wine is huge....here in Australia we have a law that it must be only 275ml or less.
Avatar m tn I have almost the same number of PACs you do. Somewhere between 20,000 to 25,000 per day. On good days, maybe 15,000, on bad days I've averaged over 20 per minute. I had an ablation for them 18 months ago and they were nearly non-existant for a year. My EP found that I had Dual AV node physiology and ablated one of them. She also noted that there was a pathway further up into the heart that she couldn't ablate with RF energy because it would have been too dangerous.
Avatar f tn Is does sound like you're having sleep-breathing problems, especially since your father has obstructive sleep apnea. An obstruction has to last 10 seconds or longer for it to be called an apnea. You can stop breathing 25 times per hour but if you wake up between 1-9 seconds, then you're told you don't have sleep apnea. Also, if you stop breathing for 34 seconds once every hour, then unless it happens at least 5 times per hour, you don't officially have sleep apnea.
Avatar f tn I haven't been on in a week or so, but I am down from 50 mg Hydro to 45 mg per day. Tomorrow I will drop to 40. I am doing a 5 mg drop per week. I really want to make this as easy on myself as possible so I don't end up right back where I started. Feeling good, and optimistic, so far!! I also have a question in regards to Hydro/APAP. Do any of you on here also partake in some alcohol consumption?
Avatar f tn It takes one hour for each unit of alcohol to work through your blood and also your milk. So if each drink contained 1.5 units of alcohol for example you would need to wait 3 hours after your last drink before your milk would be safe for your baby. Also, if you have been drinking you should never pick up your baby. Or allow your baby to be picked up by someone under.the influence of alcohol.
Avatar f tn So you only dump when the alcohol is likely in your system still, at a rate of 1 drink per hour. If you have 3 drinks in an hour, wait three to four hours to feed baby, or to pump and save milk.
Avatar n tn I take the shot 1/2 hour before starting to drink, then drink at the rate of one pint per hour. After 2 1/2 hours I have finished two beers, and the remaining insulin matches the digestion rate (close enough anyway) of the beer in my stomach. At this point, I also decide if I will have another or more beer. BUT, I will not need the same insulin/beer ratio now. I need less insulin the more I drink. Exactely when and how much the alcohol suppresses the liver varies for different people.
Avatar f tn In a recent study assessing the effects of a range of alcohol intake levels on fibrosis in HCV-infected patients, Monto et al reported no association between light (zero to 1.45 drinks per day) ) or moderate (1.46 drinks per day to 3.6 drinks per day) alcohol use and mean fibrotic score.48 Heavy alcohol use (> 3.6 drinks per day) was associated with a significant increase in mean fibrotic score.
5955551 tn?1377316619 I basically agree with HesAPooka, but I'll give a little more detail. The usual recommendation -- for people who are in good health and who have no heart problems -- is to limit alcohol intake to one drink per day for females and two drinks per day for males. Males are expected to be able to handle more alcohol than females, because their livers usually produce higher amounts of alcohol dehydrogenase, which is the enzyme that detoxifies alcohol.
Avatar m tn It would have helped if I read your entire post. But I also did cardio (treadmill moderate to quick pace) for a half hour per day... You're not going to sweat out the meds...
Avatar m tn I don't know what you mean by "social drinking"... if you mean a beer or glass of wine at about 1 per hour and you eat regular meals, I think it should not be a problem relative to your heart rhythm - but, binge drinking is bad for your whole body, so my recommendation is keep it at a "social" level, i.e., not drunk.
