i know I should have an emergency kit--but I have never gotten anyone to give me the emergency injection kit. My first endo said they called it in--but it never got done. Also I was looking for one to buy, but all I found was the one that you take the blood sample and send to the lab and get your results with 3 days. I have purchased a hiv blood rapid test kit and carried out test at home. As I read the instruction on the kit, I know that on the blood collecting sample area on the kit, there is HIV virus antigen, which will react with the HIV antibody in finger blood (if exist) to further process.
Q1. Are the rapid test result taken on 90 days post exposure conclusive?
Q2. If my bloody finger with wound (cut) touch the sample area (with antigen) of the test kit, will I be infected by the HIV virus?

I got tested using postal blood test service provided by a company in the UK. Blood sampling kit for venous blood sample was sent by the company. Venous blood was taken by a qualified phlebotomist in a hospital and I then sent it to an accredited private medical laboratory in London in the envelope provided by the company.

Also I did wipe my finger down with an alcohol pad but I think the pad was fake too because it said it was 75% alcohol but I though they were all 70% percent.
So any ways I did the test which I think was fake, because I tried a second one using hot sauce instead of blood and it came out negative with a line next to control but shouldn't it not have worked if I didn't use blood?

More than likely the reason for your high blood pressure is due to the alcohol, and stress that you been under for the last 2 years. It's hard I know to realize what is coming first, the alcohol or the stress.
Go back to your Dr's and explain (if you can) what is going on - they are here to help us. As for your panic attacks, do they come on after or before your drinking?
You sound like you suffer significant anxiety. Who keeps an hiv test kit with them and keeps looking at it? If you actually did have an exposure which I only question because you are afraid of blood in an hiv testing kit and didn't write to us about an unprotected sex exposure (or did you?). Of course there isn't blood on the kit. You don't get hiv from a test kit. You don't get it from touching blood.
Here is my scenario i had a very small cut on my thumb about a day old and went to get a band aid from my companies first aid kit. As i opened it i notice there was blood on the kit. I totally freaked out and looked all over my hands. I am just worried that their could have been hiv blood on there that got into my cut. It was partially closed but i had slightly scraped it getting my keys out of my pocket and that is why i went to get a band aid and was red but not dripping blood.

I just recieved my kit today and was wondering which testing I needed to select. This is the very first Lyme testing I am having done. Do I just selsct the complete Lyme Panel or specific tests. Each test is rather expensive and I'm not sure I will get any insurance coverage so I wanted to be selective. Thanks for the input!
They are every bit as accurate as an Elisa in a lab, for a negative result, but for a positive result the have slightly more false postivies, anyway a positive elisa or rapid test is not considered positive unless a WB is positive too.
