Common Questions and Answers about Blood alcohol concentration california

alcohol

Avatar f tn The acute effects of alcohol depend on the concentration of alcohol in the blood (directly correlated with the amount and time of drinking). Initially, alcohol generally produces feelings of relaxation and cheerfulness, but further consumption can lead to blurred vision and coordination problems. After excessive drinking, unconsciousness can occur and extreme levels of consumption can lead to alcohol poisoning and death. Hence, it is definitely not due to stroke or heart attack.
Avatar f tn With that being said the concentration of alcohol in your breast milk also reflects that of your blood. So if you have one drink your breast milk won't contain the same amount of alcohol as the drink, it'll contain the same amount of alcohol at your blood, which for an average sized person would be about 0.

Avatar f tn That pace is .015 of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) per hour. So that means for every hour you are not drinking, .015 of the alcohol in your body is being metabolized and disappearing from your body (thanks to David J. Hanson, Ph.D. for this information). So, if your BAC was 0.08 (legally impaired), it would take about 5.33 hours for the alcohol to be eliminated from your body." Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Alcohol is metabolized at the rate of .015 of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) every hour. Ask this question through Google. then do the math.
Avatar f tn I know this is very hard to understand, and trust me, it is very hard to describe. Could this be a blood sugar issue? Blood pressure? A result of drinking 3 or 4 stiff drinks the night before? Related to caffeine? Anyone have any ideas. I am so healthy normally that this scares me.
967168 tn?1477584489 This is a totally uneducate guess. I believe normal EF is around 60%. You reports states your EF at 40% so that's low. Alcohol dialates the blood vessels, I think. Perhaps they're concerned that your BP would drop to a point we you might pass out?
Avatar m tn The term “nanog/ml” is a measurement of concentration (amount) of a substance in a given volume of liquid (in this case blood). It stands for nanograms (a unit of measure for weight) per milliliter (a unit of measure for volume). Benzoylecgonine is a metabolite (the body changes substances put into it into other substances that can be measured) of the narcotic cocaine and can be measured by urine or hair samples and allows someone to tell long-term if an individual has used this substance.
Avatar f tn I have in that context some questions for you 1) According to interaksjoner.no (interaction.no) wellbutrin increases the concentration of Efexor 3 times when combined with Wellbutrin. It will therefore give an increase of 3 times the concentration of Efexor in the blood if I start directly on 150 mg Wellbutrin. This will give the insane sideeffects. Will there be a solution to cut straight down to Efexor 75 mg same day that I start with Wellbutyrin?
Avatar n tn Alcohol causes headache as a result of its effects on blood sugar. If you already have hypoglycemia, an alcohol-related drop in blood sugar may bring on head pain. Some alcoholic beverages contain tyramine, histamines, and impurities introduced during the fermentation process, which can also cause a painful headache. Drinking alcohol also causes you to urinate a lot, which can dehydrate your brain cells and cause headaches. It will go away on its own. Refer http://www.headachenech.
5955551 tn?1377316619 Alcohol in the blood is literally toxic to heart cells. The more you drink at one time, the higher your blood alcohol concentration, and the greater the toxicity. People with healthy hearts are usually able to tolerate even the occasional excess intake of alcohol, because they have a few heart cells to spare, so to speak. If you don't have any heart cells to spare, though, then you probably shouldn't drink alcohol at all.
Avatar n tn I did *not* receive an email notice of this reply, even though I am set to receive instant notices [and usually do] and even though this thread is definitely marked to be watched ['stop watching' is seen by me right now as an option on the top of this page]. Have you been getting reports of site technical malfunctions?
Avatar f tn Today has been a great day! It will be one week tomorrow that I haven't had a drink. I went out for sushi with my husband tonight and ordered water. The waitress said,"No sapporo?". That would be the japanese beer I usually drink. She probably remembers me because I usually drink a lot of it when I'm there..... Anyway, no alcohol today and hopefully no alcohol tomorrow either!
Avatar m tn Hi all! I would like to know about alcohol caused blackouts..if we take a period of time from let's say 8 pm to 11 pm and the blackout starts at 8 pm and until 8:20 pm I don't remember anything and after that start remembering and do NOT drink more..does it mean that the peak concentration is over and I will not blackout anymore (I.e. from 9 pm until 9:10 pm) or it is still possible (if I ate before and alcohol is slowly absorbing during those periods).
Avatar f tn You certainly can drink and breastfeed as long as its a reasonable amount you are drinking (roughly one drink per hour). Firstly pump and dump is a waste of milk no matter how much you pump the.alcohol in your milk is Dependant on the alcohol in your blood and how quickly your body metabolizes it. Test strips are also a waste of money... Also just because you have a drink or two over the course of about an hour doesn't mean that your breast milk has the same alcohol content as your drinks.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know of any llmds in southern california (torrance, san pedro, long beach, irvine) areas or any llmds near there? Any advice on how to look for one? Yesterday I had one margarita and I was drunk! My friend was looking at me because usually it takes a couple drinks to get tipsy and later I had a horrible headache that motrin did not help. I guess I better stay away from alcohol until I know whats going on with my body.
Avatar m tn "Concentration of virus in the blood" means the viral load of the person. So a recent infection of HIV by someone usually means a high viral load. Someone on medication means a low viral load and less of a chance to pass on the infection. Getting HIV from cuts does not happen.
Avatar m tn Hello It is most likely caused by the alcohol. Drinking alcohol can affect the blood pressure, pulse rate, cause confusion, problems with mood and concentration. Alcohol can cause you to become dehydrated, affect the liver and kidneys etc. Hopefully the symptoms will eventually go away but if not you probably need to see your doctor about the symptoms.
148588 tn?1465778809 Army film corps, he and fellow members of his unit personally shot footage of the Nazis’ concentration camps as they were liberated. Reagan would tell this story again to others, including Holocaust survivor Simon Wiesenthal. But Reagan was never present at the camps’ liberation. Instead, he spent the war in Culver City, California, where he processed footage from the liberation of the camps.

Avatar n tn I am 37 years old. I am experiencing lots of stress in my marriage about whether I should stay in a marriage or not due to mistrust, other than that I just graduated college and am about to start a new career but I am experiencing severe "forgetfulness or concentration problems." I lost some critically important documents today, two of them, simply because I just did not pick them up and put them away after using them and I seem to be that way about everything I touch.
