Bloating gallbladder

Common Questions and Answers about Bloating gallbladder

gas

Avatar n tn I know I have one stone in my gallbladder can it also cause bloating and diarrhea?
Avatar f tn These symptoms happened with me because of a diseased gallbladder. Do you notice more bloating after you eat? Does it get worse when you eat fatty foods? Do you have any shoulder pain between your shoulder blades or at the top of your shoulder? Upper right abdomen pain? Not that all these symptoms have to be present, but they are on the list, as well as, extreme gas from both ends, indigestion, and heartburn, at least in my case. I would get short of breath also just from being so bloated.

Avatar n tn I have the same sypmtoms gas, large swollen abdomen, & I am a small woman 115 pounds, 30 yrs. old also I am having heartburn ,chronic fatigue, no appatite. My doctor sent me for a cat scan of my abdomen & it showed that the duct going to my gallbladder is dilated I believe the bile duct & this problem can cause these symptoms. Let me just say when your doctor thinks you are a hypochondriac it's time to find a new doctor.

Avatar m tn Cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder) is caused by bile that is backed up in the gallbladder causing pressure to build in the gallbladder. The symptoms of cholecystitis are very similar to symptoms of gallstones. This diagnosis could mean that your gallbladder is functioning below normal. If chemical messengers don't signal the gallbladder to empty some of the backed up bile, over time the bile will begin to calcify and form gallstones.
Avatar m tn I am an 18 year old female. Within the past 4 months I began having regular GI problems and finally made an appointment with my GI doctor. He ordered a full workup including blood work, an ultrasound, and a colonoscopy. The radiologist pointed out that I clearly have polyps in my gallbladder, but couldn't see any gallstones. I have my colonoscopy this Friday (10/18) to rule out any other causes of my symptoms.
Avatar f tn Not really pain, feels like a foot in my rib cage. Had a gallbladder attack in April. Severe bloating. No gas, no vomiting or nausea, no constipation or diarrhea. Very uncomfortable. I can't sit or lie down. Ultrasound shows no abnormalites. Hida scan scheduled for October. Any ideas of what the issue may be?
Avatar m tn m wanting to know what the chances are that something else is wrong with my digestive system in addition to gallbladder issues? Does it also seem like removing my gallbladder is the best thing to do? Below are more details. The HIDA scan results showed an ejection fraction less than 5% (very low). This is the summary of what's happened since.
Avatar f tn I had recently gone to a gastroenterologist with some concerns about my stomach. I'm a very healthy eater, vegetarian, minimal cheese, gluten intolerant, and still having lots of trouble digesting food. Constant bloating, reflux and indigestion. The dr ordered an ultrasound of the abdomen.
Avatar f tn He then ordered an MRI that showed 10 small stones but no inflamation in my gallbladder. My Dr now says I need my gallbladder removed but says he is still not positive it will help the burping and bloating. Surgeon says it will. Has anyone else had the same symptoms and have your gallbladder removed? Did it help? I feel like this daily and am so tired of it. I have tried elimating different foods but nothing helps.
Avatar f tn I am 26, a smoker and about 20 lbs overweight. For the past 5 years I have been experiencing extreme bouts of nausea where I dry heave but nothing happens. I also have had terrible heartburn that doesn't go away with antacids, prilosec or even protonix. About a month ago my nausea and heartburn got so severe that I went to the hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack. The pain was spreading into my chest, upper back and down both arms.
Avatar f tn I had my Gallbladder removed laparoscopically 1/16/08. I started having a bad tearing pain just left of my belly button about two weeks following the surgery. I was told this was muscle pain and to take advil or aleive for a week and it would be o'kay. I have done that and the tearing pain continues. I am having some pain on the left side as well, including hypersensitivity. I never really had much pain before the surgery, just some uncomfortableness.
757137 tn?1347196453 I learned very recently that I have a sluggish gallbladder. It causes severe bloating and sometimes pain. In addition to diet, what over-the-counter remedies will relieve the discomfort? I have heard about some things that are supposed to help - apple cider vinegar - apple juice - milk thistle - digestive enzymes - bromelain. Does anyone have experience with these items? I am already using simethicone.
Avatar n tn 2 years ago i started having major stomach problems. My symptoms included heavy nausea all day, stomach pain/bloating after eating anything for the following hours, extreme acid reflux in the morning and extreme nausea mid afternoon. I saw 5 dif gastro drs. I did every test possible. All came back negative. One diagnosed me with IBS, another said NO, another said GERD, another said NO. No one could figure out why i had my problems.
Avatar m tn Gastroesophageal and gallbladder disease are both common sources of non-cardiac chest pain. I would think that these would be ruled out by your physician.
Avatar n tn Hello everyone. For 3 months I am suffering like hell especially after eating.
Avatar f tn Have you had a Ejection Fraction test done on your Gallbaldder? That will tell you if your Gallbladder is functioning at all. I had no stones and it went on for over 4 yrs. My Gallbladder was dieing slowly and I didn't even know. After 4 doctors and numerous of all kind of testing, I went to a female gastroenterologist and finally diagnosed me. Even after removal, you still have to be careful what you eat. Less fatty foods (or you'll end up with a fatty liver).
