Can anyone tell me what the symptoms of an ulcer are? I mean, like a serious ulcer.
Stomach has been hurting pretty bad for two weeks.
Really bad the past few days.
Throwing up, some blood there.
Can't keep food down.
Don't have any health insurance.

Yes, you can still have an ulcer. Your symptoms could be an ulcer. I had a duodenal ulcer (In the intestines) and the pattern was a little similar to yours. I didn't want to eat though because it burned after. Anyway, lifestyle choices can be related such as drinking alcohol. Or if you take a lot of OTC pain relievers like ibuprofen. My ulcer was caused by biliary reflux. I had lots of tests but finally an endoscopy found it. Going to a gastroenterologist will be a good idea.
Figuring it to be exhaustion I put up with it for a week. When the symptoms persisted I called the doc. His review was a peptic ulcer and prescribed 30mg of Prevacid along with 1g of Amoxil and Biaxin (not sure of amount). Since then, I have nausea in the morning upon waking even after eating and taking the pills. In the afternoon I start to cough and get a taste of mucus or bile.

Well, yeah, but the remedies for an ulcer are different than the remedies for other gastric problems. It's hard to believe your mother about this, though, because as you probably know, an ulcer if not treated can eventually become a bleeding ulcer, which isn't wonderful -- I had one many years ago. I thought I had one like you and saw my doctor, who said I was too young to have one and let me go.
For the last 5 yrs ive had ulcer like symptoms.. Two scopes later, both negative and Im still experiencing extreme pain when my stomach is empty... I had the last scope about a year ago and he did happen to mention that i had excess bile... He had to suction it out before he could even look at my stomach....One of the Drs i work with mentioned dumping syndrome, i have some reflux but its not bad... just extreme pain in my stomach when its empty... Ive been on carafate and prevacid etc..
I smoked almost a pack a day. Two years ago I started having a stomach issue. At that point my symptoms were pain/discomfort in the stomach with mucus in stool and what felt like constipation. I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy done. The endoscopy revealed an ulcer which had an h.pylori infection. I was given prevacid to treat it. The symptoms never went away. I was given another endoscopy 3-4 months later to confirm the ulcer was gone as was h.pylori. The endoscopy came back clean.
He, after asking many questions found I had been symptomatic of an ulcer, that through life, because of the thin lining of healing stomach tissue that constantly recovers that skin when being in an acid rich environment with stressful event always going on in life had this occurrence happen over and over with anxiety because of the body feeling a threat of internal bleeding every time that ulcer skin fell off and exposed the stomach lining like a scab.
They also have me on 4 pills a day for the ulcer medicine and another pill to coat my stomach so my ulcer is probably already healed. I suffer from migraines as well and there will be times throughout the day my brain will feel bruised and like it's bleeding but only on the top. My question is should I go get the testing done or would it just be a waste?

I hope you quit binging, even if you have to cut it out completely. Life is just as good or better without it. I promise you. If you want to talk about it, i' quit in 99, not a drop since, plus quit drugs. Where there's a will , there's a way!!
You could have a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori, which causes a stomach ulcer and possible bleeding. Were your stools black? Have you been to a hospital or taken antibiotics before this happened? Do you have diarrhea? It sounds like an ulcer. If the test comes back positive they will treat you will several antibiotics and possibly bismuth sulfite. As for the flu symptoms, plus the stomach pain it is possible that you had a virus if you had diarrhea?
