Just seeing if anyone has or had a bladder infection in the early weeks of pregnancy. I'm almost 6 weeks and I'm constantly peeing (which I know comes with pregnancy already) but it's constant. I initially had my first prenatal visit made for November 6th. But they want to see me tomorrow instead. What do they do if I do have a bladder infection. I didn't think I could take meds?
The being late with your period has nothing to do with the bladder infection. I would get a pregnancy test to check. Best to get it done as early as possible. Did you have a tubal ligation? Did they say it was impossible to get pregnant? Perhaps there is something else going on. You should do the pregnancy test anyway to check then see your doctor either way.
m nearly 7 weeks and have my dating scan today late arvo. Anyways, my wee results came back with bladder infection which I think is UTI? I got given antibiotics which is Cefalexin Sandoz 500 MG to take 4 times a day. Is it safe? I'm worried. Never had to take anything during both my pregnancies with both my boys.

can my girlfriend get a bladder infection after we had unprotected sex while i'm on the pegasys/ ribaviron treament. was curious if that was another reason they wanted us to use condoms and the pill too. wasn't sure if my semen can cause an infection or not, this is twice it has happend since i started treament a month and a half ago.
They are very common in pregnancy due to the way your bladder is pinched. When going to the loo lean forward as this helps to untrap the bladder. I don't tend to get symptoms until the infection reaches my kidneys. Thankfully urine checks are every few weeks in the UK so they do tend to catch it early in most instances. I never get them when I'm not pregnant.
Soo this morning I peed blood and called the doctor right away.. He said most likely its a bladder infection or a kidney stone (which I haven't had any back pain or cramps) He called in some medicine for me. I'm 10 Weeks and 3 days. t do a test and prescribed me cipro for a bladder infection. I took it for 5 days, 10 pills, and am only 5 weeks. I had some cramping but no bleeding at all. The ER couldn't see anything because I was around 4.5 weeks so I'm seeing my OB tomorrow but would love to read anyone else's experiences with Cipro during pregnancy.

The doctor and the midwife i see, have told me this and i have all so read it in the information i was given by my midwife. You may want to go to a doctor and get checked out for bladder infections/Urinary Tract Infection, my doctor also told me that Bladder Infections/UTI's will make you need to go to the toilet more than usual, especially in early pregnancy!! From the professional information i been told/given, what your experiencing is not normal!!!!
I have a bladder infection, I think. So I called my Dr and told him what was going on. He prescribed Septra generic DS. It made me so sick that I called him back and asked what to do and he said it would be alright to take a half pill twice a day instead of a whole one. This is the second time I've had a bladder infection in two months. The first time was when I was in the hospital. No catheter was used. They sent me home with a script for Septra and it cleared up with in 5 days.
