About a month later I started to have significant irritation with my prostate, increased frequency, and signs of bladder infection. Dr prescribed cipro 500 mg 2X daily for 10 days, based on previous prostaititis. Symptoms eased a little, but still had frequency issues, slight discomfort in pubic area, irritated meatus. Through this whole period, I have had ZERO discharge (no discharge for my wife either). My wife has had some bladder discomfort, and increased urinary frequency.
Hello. I just returned from my first prenatal visit. I have a bladder infection. Got put on some antibiotics.
Do you think I should try a test again in a few days or is the medicine and the bladder infection a problem and i should just go and get blood work done. Please help I would love any advice on this problem. thank you.
I have the same issue. In talking to my dr you would think I was the only one. I have tried medicines just incase it was an infection (metronidazole baginal 0.75% PRA) and another one (can't remember the name). It started about 8 months ago now. I have norma periods no issue there. I am not on birth control pills, but was about 3yrs ago. I am not on any medications. I go to the gym regularly. I do not experience any cramping during my periods.
i also have a watery discharge during my period. it is clear and odorless. even if there is very little blood on my tampon, it soaks through and leaks through my pad and clothing as well. recently, i have been having less liquid blood and more clots, with a lot of the watery discharge. i have three solid days of going through both a tampon and pad within an hour. i also have severe backache and cramping, and just generally feel ill, which i realize could be just normal period stuff.

Having a period means you are shedding the lining of your uterus. So I would say, it's not normal nor possible. Some bleeding can be considered within normal limits and so can some types of cramps. If you feel like this is a REAL period, and the bleeding and cramping are plentiful, I would suggest contacting your OB for a check. How far along are you?

i have developed an irritated bladder from using a high progesterone pill before this was implanted, i was treated for a bladder infection with various antibiotics when i went to my doctors, the anti biotics seemed to ease the pain but after i was taken off them it allways came back.
I had not been urinating frequently indicating a bladder infection; and it has not happened since. So I guess my question is...Was that a symptom of MS? Can it just happen like that? all of a sudden, and just once and then not happen again? It did happen during the time period I was having the most symptoms..numbness, tingling, nerve pain, and a weak feeling in my feet upon standing. I feel like I'm crazy because the symptoms keep changing. Does this sound typical of MS?
I am a 53-year-old female with a neurogenic bladder. I have a wonderful urologist who did not want me to be tied down with self-cateratization for the rest of my life. He suggested a Medtronic "bladder pacemaker." While you go through a short trial period to see if it will work, and then have surgery to implant it, it works like a charm. Getting there was a bit rocky, but I am thankful for the device. Good luck. Will gladly reveal a bit more if needed.
3DPO - She went to the doctor who said she possibly had a unirary track infection or a gall bladder infection. Made her do 2 urine tests for pregnancy both came out negative. Sent her to do blood tests and some other tests to check on unary track infection and gall bladder. Doctor subscribe some antibiotics and learnt that if she took them it would about any chance of conceiving a child. So we decided to hold off taking the antibiotics until we were sure that she was not pregnant.
For about 8 months last year I had reoccurring urinary tract/bladder infections. I went to my general doctor many times during that period of time, he treated the bladder infections, and since they continued to reoccur, he sent me to an urologist. The urologist did a variety of testing, found that something was pressing on my bladder and obstructing it. She sent me for a CT scan, and I learned that I had a very large (11 cm x 9 cm) ovarian cyst.
Home treatment only works at the very first sign of the infection but once you have thick discharge and irritation only meds will help. Metrodonizole is safe for the baby.
He did a urinalysis that came back all negative. He also checked to see that I was emptying my bladder correctly and I was. He wanted to do some follow up testing; however, I was in middle of a pretty study period and didn't go back. Over the next few Weeks, my symptoms resolved. A few Weeks ago the same thing happened. It seems to come as a function of holding my ejaculate during sex. I feel uncomfortable when I sit...like I need to pee. This time after the 5th day it got better.
I go to the restroom a lot and I have to squeeze my stomach to help relieve the fluid out of my bladder. I still had some fluid in my bladder during my surgery. Since I hadn't drank anything since 10pm the night before it appears that my bladder isn't emptying completely. My doctor has put me on Flomax and I've been taking it since Sunday. So far it isn't helping. My pain seems to be getting worse. My doctor thinks there is a possibilty that I might have adenoyosis (endo of the bladder).
I don't know the results of the flow rate, but we were told that on all 3 ultrasounds taken that there is residual urine in the bladder. Wall thickness of the bladder normal. We haven't received the letter Bergen is going to send to Haugesund yet with more details. Treatment is needed. We don't know what.
I believe so I wasn't required to use the catheter again. During this period I have lost the sensation of bladder fullness or the urge to pee. I made sure I urinated every 2-3 hours to empty my bladder. This loss of sensation continued for many weeks until September 2009, in the 7th week postpartum. I was finally feeling a slight senation to void and it increased over a few days until I thought I was completely normal again.
I am a 40 year old man who have according to ultrasound circumferefntial bladder wall thickening up to 1 cm and normal bladder volume. small blood in urinalysis .no blood macroscopic or in microscopic. calcium in blood work minimally low and normal albumin.no weight loss.. no history of kidney stone.no familly history of any cancer. I coming originally from Iran never had documented schistosomiasis or urinary tract infection. No sign and symptome of frequency dysuria or hematuria.
But this feels different. When I lay down at night it becomes much worse than it is during the day. It feels like my bladder is so full it's uncomfortable and at times painful, I get up to pee hoping that will relieve the pain but little or nothing comes out and there is no relief. I have been to my doctor and a gyno and they have told me they can't find anything wrong, I'm hoping to see a urologist soon but so far they all just look at me like I'm crazy.
Well, me and my gall bladder go back a long way, we're pretty close and I just wasn't ready to give up any body parts as of yet! Over the past year I have had minor problems with it, occaisional mild pain, "awareness", minor night attacks, stuff like that. My Dr. still thinks I should have it removed fearing infection. Anybody have any experience along these lines? Any thoughts? Sonagram shows stones. If I do it will get my bx at the same time.
I noticed the problem after intercourse and thought I was developing a bladder infection. I'm now concerned that maybe the sling has shifted and is no longer working correctly. I would suggest researching some other options online before having the surgery. I wish I had because now I may be looking at another surgery to fix the problem and it was not a fun recovery for me to begin with.
If you have one large stone, as many do, it can block the bile duct on a regular basis, causing inflammation as stored bile becomes more and more concentrated while it cannot be released due to the blockage and eventually enough infection to burst the gall bladder. A burst is life threatening, sepsis and so on, peritonitis can follow. also, dissolving the stone can, not will but can, cause them to be expressed.
All of this is a result of the gallbladder removal. Is there such a thing as a gall bladder transplant? I can't live like this...I would definitely have it done. I know this may sound drastic to you (but not to me)...live in my shoes for one day and tell me how drastic it really is.
I don't think it tells you if you have a urinary tract or bladder infection though, and that could be it if you are having pain during urination. Hope this helps.
At some point, I met with the surgeon who said the surgery went fine, but there was much infection in the gall bladder, but fortunately it was contained. If no problems, then I should be able to go home the next day. Unfortuately, my going home was delayed another day. It seemed my blood pressure was very low and my activity level was less than the doctors would have liked. So I stayed another day and went home on the 4th day. My husband was a great help in my recovery at home.
