levora

Avatar f tn I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.
Avatar f tn In May 2007, I started taking Levora birth control pills on a continuous basis to avoid normal menstrual cycles. I stopped taking them in March 2008 to see if they had helped stop the endometriosis for good. It didn't work, so my Gyn re-prescribed Levora 3 weeks ago. Within a few days of taking Levora again I noticed that I was much more mentally vulnerable and by the third week on Levora I was completely destroyed emotionally and mentally.
Avatar f tn A lot of antibiotics cause birth control to be ineffective.
Avatar f tn I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
Avatar f tn t been on any sort of birth control for a good six months now and my period is still super irregular. I've been skipping whole months. Sometimes it'll come on the 30th day of my cycle, sometimes they'll come 7 weeks apart, etc. It's impossible to track. I've talked to my doctor and they said unfortunately they can't put me on any sort of birth control that will regulate my period without running the increased risk of blood clotting.
Avatar f tn m not sure about this but i just went to the clinic and got switched back onto my old birth control today in hopes that my anxiety will go away. about six or seven months ago i stopped taking yasmin because i just didn't feel like dealing with having to rememeber to take a pill everyday....(lazy i know).
Avatar n tn I've been on combination birth control for about 5 months now (first Levora, then switched to Portia 2 months in), and I've had breakthrough periods before. In the past, they were like my regular periods: lighter, but similar general consistency and flow so I would have to wear a pad. Recently, I've noticed that when I wipe, there's been light traces of blood which I thought was just my breakthrough period.
Avatar f tn Hello, If you suffer from dysmenorrhea (painful menses) or irregular menses, yes, the birth control pill can be used to help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve dysmenorrhea. In your case, having had a tubal ligation, the indication would not be for birth control but for the symptoms you describe and that is fine. I'm not sure what you mean by taking four pills. You should take it as you otherwise would: one pill at the same time each day.

Avatar f tn I started taking Levora birth control pills at the end of February. I had been on this brand before, years ago, with no complications after being prescribed Ortho-TricyclineLo which was a nightmare. It was recommended to me to start taking BC due to potential hormonal imbalances (potentially PCOS due to excessive hair growth) and this lined up with a new sexual relationship so I agreed even though I prefer not to use hormonal birth control.

Avatar f tn I just need suggestions for birth control pills that are good for people who are extremely sensitive to hormones. I've had the Mirena IUD, which didn't cause me to gain weight, but caused my skin to look awful and other issues. I know every person reacts differently to birth controls, but I'm really starting to feel like there is nothing out there for me. I just don't want to gain weight or get acne.
Avatar f tn Does anyone have any information on this birth control and how do you like it personally?
Avatar n tn I have already posted a question, but I'm switching birth control's Friday, and I'm think about going on Ortho Tri-Cyclen because I heard it's almost the best birth control you can find. Any other suggestions??
Avatar f tn Whats The Best Birth Control After You Deliver .. I Know The Pill Is A No Go For Me Because I Hate Pills lol But The Depo ? Does It Make You blow Up ? Or Is It Better To Get The Mirana Or The Newer One Where They Inject It In Your Arm?
Avatar f tn Hello, Depo-Provera is a long-acting progestin (hormone) form of birth control. If you stop getting Depo-Provera injections, your period usually returns within 3 to 10 months but sometimes it may take 12-18 mths. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. Avatar n tn My husband and I have been trying to have a baby since May. I was on Levora (birth control) and went off of it in April. For the first few months April, May, June, July...my periods were irregular, which is to be expected, since I went off of the pill. They SEEMED to be regualar in Aug. Sept. and then in October, I didn't have a period. I wasted so much time and money taking pregancy test (blood and otc) and no pregancy.
Avatar f tn I started oral birth control 20 days ago (levora I think its called). My husband and I had unprotected sex abt 2 weeks before that and my period ended on the same day I started taking the pills. Since then we usually use condoms but a few times haven't. I heard its not uncommon for a woman to miss her period the 1st month on these pills. I've been cramping sorta and have a lot of back pain these last 4 weeks. ( I started on my peach pills Sunday).
Avatar f tn I just started birth control (nuvaring) and I was just wondering how long i have to wait until i can have unprotected sex? I don't want to have a child yet i am only 19 and already taking care of a 7 month old.
Avatar m tn Well, as far as I know, Krimson 35 is pretty much birth control. I was first put on birth control to "regulate my periods," but I was not trying to conceive then. Are you trying to conceive NOW? Did you make that clear to your doctor? You will NOT be able to conceive on birth control, obviously... I suggest you go back to your doctor (or find another one) and make sure that you explain your worries, so he/she can explain to you guys what PCOS entails.
1703515 tn?1350500231 Hello, You can opt for Nuva ring or depo shots if you do not want kids in the next 1-2 years. However, you should get the birth control prescribed and then only you can take it because your health needs to be assessed and if any contraindications to the birth control are found like heart condition then you may be prescribed other forms of birth control.

Avatar f tn I've tried 3 different kinds of birth controls (Lutera Levora & now Tri-nessa) in the last 3 months to help with my sever migraines. The goal was to have a period every 3 months to avoid month migraines with my period. And during these three months I have experienced continuous bleeding. About two weeks ago I started taking Tri-Nessa and i still am bleeding (definitely more than a spotting).
