Avatar m tn well there is no fast way to lose weight, you have to get motivated to do it and when you are ready and motivated you will start to see a change in your weight never are there fast results. i suggest cutting back on fast food sodas anything that has a high calorie count if you eat those things. start out small start using one of your work out videos for a few minutes aday twice a day once in the morning and once at night.
Avatar n tn Hi, I just wanted to also add this-- from my experience. If any weight loss regime you take on is not something you can sustain for the long term day to day, it's not worth it. You will just gain the weight back. You have to look at long term things you can do and live with. Examples, I cut back on sugar and added in much healthier choices that I like. I have one cheat day a week where I can have my sugary snacks if I want them. This works for me and has for a very long time.
Avatar f tn Not to be a spoiler, but the article is about keeping a food journal. (I figure I had to give that away in order to ask a question!) Here is my Q: Does anyone have advice for how to get started with this? I had a bad experience in my early teens when keeping a food journal was forced upon me. I HATED IT SOOOO MUCH.
1632896 tn?1299942340 The best way to lose weight in a healthy way, is to eat multiple small, healthy meals(maybe 4 or 5 small meals, instead of a large 3 meals), which will help your body digest food easier and keep your metabolism higher. Also to do different exercise routines and switch it up every so often. You should do both cardiovascular exercises, like running, swimming, etc and weight training/resistance exercises, like push ups(using your own body weight as a weight), lifting weights, etc.
Avatar f tn Hi, After numerous efforts I came to conclusion that the best way to lose weight is healthy diet and regular workout. Beware of diets (http://www.pissedconsumer.com/consumer-reviews/weight-loss-programs.html) that promise quick weight loss - they are very unhealthy.

168348 tn?1379357075 I still did hand weights and some dance to music this winter, hard to not eat in winter time, but also am very aware that human bodies, like animals will always gain a small amount due to lack of daylight on the brain chemistry. (Another long scientific explanation coming up I think!

649848 tn?1534633700 No we haven't always had the "Home" feed, but I'm glad we have it now; it looks like I should have posted in more communities. Welcome to our weight loss challenge. Here's the link to the original challenge, so you know what we're all about, but of course, you don't have to post there; you're welcome to start right here. https://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn I'm sorry to tell you but I don't think there's any way to lose 12kg in one month. You could lose probably close to half that if you eat around 1000-1200 calories a day (depending on your metabolism) and do cardio for 30-45 minutes 5 days a week. Lower body exercises also help a lot to burn calories.
20879826 tn?1560494038 You are so right! I unfortunately live a very sedentary life - my work is mostly me on a desk. And I do not exercise (my bad). Sorry for delayed response - but yes I need to lose weight to qualify for NHS funding in IVF. Requirement is BMI range 19-30, I'm afraid my BMI is 32, I would need to lose roughly some 5 kilos or 10- 12 pounds.
Avatar n tn Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is a good part of eating for weight loss since they are dense in nutrients but low in calories. Be sure to include sufficient protein also about 20% lean cuts of chicken, turkey or fish are all great choices. Try staying away from sugars, baked goods, bad fats, and juices or pops. Remeber 1 gram of carbohydrates and protein are worth 4 calories and yet 1 gram of fat is worth 9 calories.
