6807839 tn?1386436725 I went natural with my first from the foods I ate to the delivery I never took any medicine. But I still took my vitamins. Your baby is sucking so much out of you that even if you tried to get everything you need from your food you may not truly get enough of everything you need. I would strongly recommend taking your vitamins not only for your baby bit for your own health to. I think it's more respectable to do what's best for the two of you . Vitamins are great for you.
Avatar f tn I need help for the best time of the day to take, vitamin b,c,d, and calcium, fish oil. do I take them with food or not? I want the best schedule for them to work best. please advise.
Avatar m tn It depends on what you need them for. I am not an advocate of taking handfuls of vitamins. I take a few herbs and vitamins. I take an Essential Enzyme with each meal. It helps you properly digest your food. I also take Astragalus, it is a Chinese herb helps boost your immune system. A good Pro-biotic is an excellent think to take, keeps good bacteria going in your system. I also like Grapefruit Seed Extract, you take this when you feel a cold or flu coming on.
Avatar f tn My doctor told me to take Flinstone Complete Vitamins... it has everything you need even the right amount of folic acid! They are smaller and chewable which is great because most prenatals are huge.
Avatar n tn Take them all with food that contains fat and protein. Calcium and magnesium are fine taken together, though you want to be sure you're taking the best absorbed forms, but they are absorbed best when taken with a meal. The others are fat soluble, which is why you take them with food that contains fat.

If there's anything you can think of any advice or ideas, please let me know :) Also, what kinds of foods are good for skin elasticity? Healthy hair? Avatar f tn The Best thing to do is talk to your Dr and find out what is best for you. My sister had High readings on blood levels and he wouldn't let her take anthing but a multi vitamin befor she got Prego, and for me, I needed a Multi and Folic Acid. Everyone is different and I think it's best to talk to your Dr for the correct Answer that is best for you.
Avatar f tn There is no present Dietary Reference Intake amount for beta carotene. That multi vitamin seems ok; however, the best sources for all vitamins and minerals are fresh fruits and vegetables.

Avatar f tn It bothers me to see woman who think prenatals are only for the mother and that's not true. There is a major benefit to the fetus. Yes, there have been momma's that didn't take prenatals & got lucky that nothing was immediately was wrong with their babies, but recent studies have shown, & I already spoke to my doctor about this, but recent studies have shown that a lack of folic acid, 1000mg, has been linked to autism in boys.
1042487 tn?1275279899 The best way to balance your hormone is a good lifestyle with healthy diet and exercise. Exercise lowers stress hormones, boosts your energy, builds bone mass, and increases immunity. Choose an activity that you like ( walking, dancing, yoga, sports ) and do it several times a week. Healthy diet and good water intake is also important and as for what is a healthy diet i think i was clear above but i will be more clear. Eat whole, organic, unprocessed foods.

Avatar f tn No sense in disrupting your sleep to get up to take the med and then try to go back to sleep. besides the T3 is ramping up while you are sleeping and thus will be all used up that much sooner in the evening leaving you feeling sleepy most likely before bed. And the disruption of sleep makes that sleepiness that much worse. Just my opinion.
Avatar m tn it is not the vitamins dose we need to take but the serum levels we need to achieve.the dose must be personalized according to deficency, this is to achieve the best of possible results some vitamins like liposoluble can be taken without checking levels like for example vit b complex, vit c, glutathione and vit E http://www.lef.org/news/LefDailyNews.htm?
