MY RE told me to use the prenatals at the pharmacy but someone just told me that they have heard horror stories about the over the counter prenatal vitamins, she said they do not include a stool softener so they make you really constipated as opposed to the prescribed. My RE prescribed prenatal vitamins, Vital-OB+DHA Im sorry but i was paying 32.00 for them the first 3 months, now i went and got my 4th months supply $70.00.. If you dont mind spending a little bit more for a better prenatal. I use baby&me prenatal. Its about $30 for a month off amazon. And the pills are large. However, i absolutly love this brand! I tried a half a dozen linds before this including samples the doctor gave and they all made me sick. This one i had no side effects from. Its also made from whole foods instead of synthedic ingredients.

Hi I was wondering what the latest info is on what prenatal vitamins or best, or what vitamins are most important to take pre-conception and during pregnancy. For now my question relates to pre-natal health. I am taking a pre-natal vitamin and then some calcium magnesium with Vitamin D...any other suggestions. I didn't start showing till about 24 weeks. It differs for every woman. But I would defiantly get into a doctor as soon as you can just for routine check up for you and baby!

My doctor said everyone needs to take prenatal vitamins. I can't take mine in the morning either due to my thyroid meds, so I also take mine at night. Now there's no problem. I would try to start taking them at a different time of day. You could also try gummies if the big horse pills were causing swallowing issues.
