diet

Avatar f tn The most effective diet is one that incorporates plenty of lean protein (chicken, fish, lean beef, beans, etc), low/no fat dairy, 5-7 servings of vegetable daily, 1-2 servings of fruit, whole grains, plenty of water and no junk food, which includes anything made with processed (table sugar) and white flour, white rice, etc. Has to be lifestyle changes; not just a "diet". You have to also incorporate a moderate exercise program.
Avatar f tn She said not to count calories or diet but just eat healthy and to exercise. Fresh fruits, veggies, and lean meats like chicken etc. She told me the best way to eat fresh is buy my grocerys from the outer perimeter of the grocery store thats where the eggs, milks cheese and produce and fruit and fresh meat is located. She advised me to stay away from the middle aisles as its all processed foods. I decided to go on the 3 meals and two snacks and its workednout good so far.

Avatar f tn I think somebody is messing with you. A healthy diet involves lots of vegetables, fruit and lean meat and nuts. Portion control and avoiding sugar and empty calories (such as fast food and sweet drinks) is a sensible way to improve health and lose weight. You don't have to go hungry. I find having veggies at breakfast helps me stay full all morning. Have a snack of fruit. Even a banana is fine as it is filling and full of nutrition.
Avatar f tn Diet is 80% of the battle. Get a good diet in place to assist with cutting down on fat and increase on your protein with a medium carb intake. 40/40/20 split being protein, carbs, fats. Make sure you have a good water intake during your day. When training don't go to heavy but rather keep it at a medium weight that you can do 15 reps for 3 sets with. Don't go to slow but make sure your technique is good and you keep the reps at a nice pace.
500923 tn?1210168927 Low carb diet - no bread - pasta - flour - limit whole grains - no sugar natural or artificial. Brown sugar Ok once in a while. Limit fruits high in sugar! Alcohol is sugar too. Limit milk products Maintain a high green veggie diet with lean "good" protein meats - hormone free! Nuts are good and yogart - I know it has milk - but it has many other supporting factors. It a tough change but you will adjust well and won't crave the other stuff after a while.
597390 tn?1219425350 Starvation mode will also make you tired, slow your metabolism and burn lean muscle mass rather than fat stores because it hangs on to them to in an effort to preserve life. Will help you with motivation and support either way, but from one who has tried most every diet out there ... the only way I was ever successful was to stop "dieting" and change me eating habits for life. Can't begin to tell you how much better I feel and YOU CAN DO THIS ... truly!!!
Avatar n tn The best diet is one that incorporates lots of fresh/frozen veggies, lean protein such as meat, eggs, dairy and legumes, healthy fats such as avocados, olive and coconut oils, nuts and seeds, along with a serving or two of fruit/day. Most vegetables have so few calories that you can eat as much as you want of them, without worrying about eating too much. Keep your meat servings to about the size of a deck of cards. Add olive or coconut oil for seasoning or to cook with.
15347008 tn?1446268459 Don't diet. And make sure to talk to your Dr before starting an work out regimes. If you're only overweight, your best bet will be to maintain your weight and to gain about 10 lbs or so during your pregnancy, and if you're obese your Dr may recommend you lose weight. Walking is a great way to ease into exercise, and there are plenty of prenatal workouts on YouTube. Just ask your Dr what's going to be healthiest for you and baby. As far as eating, aim to stick with fresh foods.

1277082 tn?1344057820 100 calorie snacks are great. You can carry them in your bag, and eat them on the go. Popcorn is good. It's pretty much...PORTION CONTROL. If you cut your portions in half, you will see the weight coming off. Watch the soda intake (even DIET!). Diet soda, makes you crave sweet things. Stick to water, unsweetned iced tea, seltzer. Anything "diet" drink, is sweeter then the normal stuff.

Avatar f tn The best way to manage any pain and nausea is to change your diet. Stay away from fried and spicy (even if it's not hot it still may be spicy) foods. Eat lean meats and steamed vegetables. Stay away from coffee, tea and soda as well. Garlic, onions and tomatoes are also irritating to the stomach. Get some coconut water and stay hydrated with filtered water. Give your stomach time to heal.
