885701 tn?1279125728 I agree with Barb, diet pills only work in the short term and since you know you won't be taking these pills every day for the rest of your life, it's best to try and manage your weight in other ways. Not to mention these pills can sometimes be dangerous and cause irreversable damage. This forum focuses more on natural methods of weight loss based on healthy lifestyle changes. Please reconsider the diet pills. You CAN do it on your own!
Avatar f tn I wanted to get some opinions on here about taking some kind of diet supplement that is suppose to help with energy. I think caffeine is a main reason these are effective, but I haven't researched them too much, so I was thinking I could find one that isn't mostly caffeine at least, since I can be sensitive to it, especially in the afternoon and evening because I won't be able to sleep.
Avatar f tn s not the problem the problem is I just started taking hydrocut diet pills and have took a few. Can that effect the baby, will it have a birth effect or die?
Avatar f tn When ttc you should always be cautious. If you are trying to pregnant, act pregnant. As in do not take or do anything that could harm the fetus. I know it is frustrating at times but it's what's best for a potential child. I'm not a dr though but I do know that diet pills are not safe in pregnancy. Additionally many contain caffeine which over 200mg per day has been suggested to increased rates of miscarrige. While eating healthy and exercising is a great idea, diet pills are not.
624754 tn?1233297136 In my opinion, I would ween off the coffee by taking caffeine pills instead and then gradually decrease the dosage each day. I would say bring it down 25mg each day starting at ? I don't know maybe 200mg 2 x day as it sounds like you drink a lot of coffee. You take your best guess and see what works. Maybe a few weeks to come off of caffeine.
Avatar m tn Timing is different for everyone but my friend Vic gave you some great advice. Their are things you can do to ease the discomfort. Keeping your mind busy and off of the pills is excruciating but extremely important. Find anything that keeps you busy. Your mind can be your worst enemy in the beginning. For the physical I fell in love with my heating pad. Heat seems to help so much. Best of luck to you my friend. You can totally do this.
Avatar f tn com Xenical. Results are really good but in complex with diet and sport.
Avatar n tn I am a 22 year old female and i was diagonosed with vtach when i was 14.I would so no to taking diet pills with caffeine in them. Avatar f tn I plan to have some tests done the next time I go to the doctor, but I'm making an overall health change for now. I didn't want to give you all a laundry list of my symptoms, but basically I was on birth control pills for 6 years and then just stopped. Since then, several of the symptoms worsened (or appeared), so I feel like there is a good chance they are linked with my hormones.
732206 tn?1237293122 t know if they help alot, or at all but I feel they are helping me with not gaining too much weight when I over eat. I also drink diet green tea with citrus too. I read in one of my magazines to take the pills in the AM before you eat. Thats what I've been doing. I'm down 45.5lbs since 9/14, but I have also changed the way i eat (no soda or excess sugar).
Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Avatar f tn I still have patm, but it decreased to 10% after certain diet. Firstly, you need to completely cut off those things: 1) gluten 2) sugar 3) caffeine (tea, coffee) 4) fruits and berries 5) starch (potatoes, beans, etc.) 6) dairy products (except butter). I believe that patm reactions are caused by fungus spores. Candida breeds rapidly because of those products. Eat only lean meat, eggs, buckwheat, rice, green vegetables and lots of water. Don't forget about exercising and going out.
Avatar f tn NO, Dont ever try any diet pills during your pregnancy, it is highly dangerous as your baby may get affected by this pills, so waiting for few months after delivery, you can lose your weight.
Avatar f tn t change my diet, I do make sure I stay very active outside in the heat for extra sweating, I wrap my stomach with Saran Wrap every other day, OH MY GOD!!!!!! ;). You sweat even more in that area, if your stomach is like mine the only hard part is keeping the Saran from rolling up or down, so maybe get some help wrapping, you turn and hold stomach in as much as possible, while some else goes around your body top and bottom of stomach, you will know when it is enough. God bless you d be safe.
Avatar f tn You can drink up to 1-2 cups of caffeine a day.

459969 tn?1398170254 No they cannot cause a false positive...but stop taking any diet pills immediately until you get your pregnancy confirmed with a blood test. There is little research on health problems that they could cause you never mind an unborn baby. Call your doctor for a blood test etc. Good luck!

Avatar f tn Working is becoming more difficult as well as his diet. He is living on Ensure, Cherrios (dry, no milk) and Dan-Active Yogurt. Are there any support groups to help this young couple?? They live in St. Louis. Thank you.
Avatar n tn So realize my opinion is highly biased, but exercise and diet are the best weight control. No pill will ever come close to having the lasting effects of caring for oneself. If you want some tips on boosting metabolism without speed, I am more than willing to share what I know.
Avatar n tn My doctor said one cup of coffee is ok and sprite or 7up. But no monsters or diet soda. Apperently diet soda is worse for you.
Avatar f tn Try to limit your caffeine intake as too much has been associated with low birth weight and premature birth. And don't forget there is caffeine in chocolate, some soda, tea, coffee, frappes. Just be careful and try not to have it every day. And stay away from energy drinks.
4784361 tn?1401231107 Most of us here, aren't very open minded when it comes to diet pills. How about if I pretend to "be your doctor" and just say "no"?.. LOL Those pills really can have an adverse reaction since you're taking beta blockers (I used to be on them, too). Diet pills usually don't work, especially for those of us with hypothyroidism.
