diet

885701 tn?1279125728 I agree with Barb, diet pills only work in the short term and since you know you won't be taking these pills every day for the rest of your life, it's best to try and manage your weight in other ways. Not to mention these pills can sometimes be dangerous and cause irreversable damage. This forum focuses more on natural methods of weight loss based on healthy lifestyle changes. Please reconsider the diet pills. You CAN do it on your own!
Avatar f tn Diet pills won't work by themselves - you will need to eat sensibly and moderate exercise. In addition, most often any weight lost with diet pills usually comes back once you go off them. You will need to make changes that will sustain you over the long haul. Would love to see you take twehner5's advice and check out some of the journals and posts from others who have been successful. And don't let her fool you, twehner5 has done quite well for herself too.
764218 tn?1234569759 t lose the weight because they ruined their metabolism. Is this true? Do diet pills really work? Not sure what else to do! ANY opinions much appreciated!
Avatar f tn ve never tried that one but I heard some bad reviews on it! I hear that it has side effects; headaches, nausea... I tried a few others like green bean extract thing and raspberry keystone but to be honest, healthy eating and exercising had the best results for me personally.
Avatar f tn I would not suggest that a 15 yr old use diet pills of any kind. If by chance they would help you lose some weight (most of the time they don't work), you will only gain it back once you stop taking them. It would be much better is you incorporate a sensible diet and exercise into your routine to lose weight, so you will be able to keep it off. Feel free to read some of the other posts and health pages to get some ideas on how/where to start on a weight loss journey.
Avatar n tn So realize my opinion is highly biased, but exercise and diet are the best weight control. No pill will ever come close to having the lasting effects of caring for oneself. If you want some tips on boosting metabolism without speed, I am more than willing to share what I know.
Avatar f tn The most effective diet is one that incorporates plenty of lean protein (chicken, fish, lean beef, beans, etc), low/no fat dairy, 5-7 servings of vegetable daily, 1-2 servings of fruit, whole grains, plenty of water and no junk food, which includes anything made with processed (table sugar) and white flour, white rice, etc. Has to be lifestyle changes; not just a "diet". You have to also incorporate a moderate exercise program.
Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Avatar f tn Are there any weight loss suppliments or pills that help curb your appetite or help with your weight loss?
Avatar f tn Most diet pills don't work, and if you do manage to lose weight on them, you will most likely gain it back if you stop taking them. No diet pill is intended to be taken indefinitely. Some are downright dangerous. You should read the ingredient label very carefully.
Avatar f tn I've wanted to try some sort of diet pill that will either speed up my metabolism or reduce my appetite to help me lose weight along with my excercise (3-4 times a week). However, I'm hesitant to putting extra chemicals and whatnot in my body. Also, they tend to be expensive so I want to get something that actually works. Any suggestions??
501796 tn?1253328394 Diet pills only cause you to lose water weight. Your best bet is to eat healthy and exercise which should not cause any issues with tic.
Avatar n tn I am 6 weeks I was taking diet pills for two weeks not knowing I was pregnant will it hurt the baby?
Avatar n tn Diet pills, injections, "quick fixes"...none of these really work, and some are downright dangerous. You have to really, really work at weight loss. It takes dedication, education about proper nutrition, support, exercise, and a plan that you can live with for life. Or, just take some pills that may work for a few weeks or months, and then regain it all plus some. You choose.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever tried Phenfuel diet pills? I have a buddy who swears by them and shifted about 3 stone with them but would love to hear any more feedback if anyone has tried them. Also wondering how they interact with anti-depressants (Prozac to be specific)?? Thanks....
4784361 tn?1401231107 Most of us here, aren't very open minded when it comes to diet pills. How about if I pretend to "be your doctor" and just say "no"?.. LOL Those pills really can have an adverse reaction since you're taking beta blockers (I used to be on them, too). Diet pills usually don't work, especially for those of us with hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn None of the pills work. Some are even so dangerous, they can kill. There is no way to loose weight fast. The faster you loose weight, the faster and the more will be back on your hips. The only way to loose weight effectively is to do it slow, and to make changes to your diet for life. There are several approaches to do this, my favourite is: think of how much you are willing to change. Make your own short term goals, which are achievable, like 3 kgs lost by the first monday next month.
Avatar n tn Diet pills don't work unless you change lifestyle. That be to eat healthier. Healthy nutrition should be the main goal, not weightloss. By focusing on that, we could all save us some problems. My answer is: Diet pills are all about the money. 30-day trials work but only because the initial weightloss experienced are fluids. The safest way to loose weight is to add some physical activity to the day (3 work-out sessions over a week's time) and to get steady on meals. So....
Avatar f tn I think that you can ,but you have to work hard and fir a long time. Start a healthy diet and exercise for about 30' 2-3 times a week.Avoid sweets and unhealthy meals. Eat a healthy big breakfast ,so you wont be hungry.Eat 5 meals a day And fill your dishes with vegitables and fruts. Don't forget to drink a glass of water before every meal, you'll eat less. I hope that i helped.
Avatar n tn I have been taking diet pills for at least five years and recently (4 months ago) got on phentermine and redotex from mexico. I just found out today November 10 that I am four months pregnant! I've had no signs of pregnancy, havent had a period for at least eight years, no bump, no sickness, absolutely nothing, but did an ultrasound and found out. What my concern is, is if the baby will be healthy or if the pregnancy should be terminated?
