Avatar f tn Diet pills won't work by themselves - you will need to eat sensibly and moderate exercise. In addition, most often any weight lost with diet pills usually comes back once you go off them. You will need to make changes that will sustain you over the long haul. Would love to see you take twehner5's advice and check out some of the journals and posts from others who have been successful. And don't let her fool you, twehner5 has done quite well for herself too.
764218 tn?1234569759 The fact that there are millions of people worldwide that take them and all that positive feedback is really amazing. Moreover, diet pills producers do really aim profit, but in order to get this profit, their products have to pass lots of tests, most of which medical tests. My advice on this point: 1. Start with a diet + exercise. There are many online exercise programs that work. Some good review is placed here: http://w8loss-tips.com/exercise-site-reviewed.
885701 tn?1279125728 I agree with Barb, diet pills only work in the short term and since you know you won't be taking these pills every day for the rest of your life, it's best to try and manage your weight in other ways. Not to mention these pills can sometimes be dangerous and cause irreversable damage. This forum focuses more on natural methods of weight loss based on healthy lifestyle changes. Please reconsider the diet pills. You CAN do it on your own!
Avatar f tn FOR THE RECORD IVE TRIED SEVERAL, LIKE REALLY SEVERAL THINGS LIKE MANY OTHERS, THE ONLY THING THAT HAS WORKED FOR ME IS ACTUALLY TWO THINGS, 1. BONTRIL, and 2. Ad ilex. BONTRIL worked, however it was very hard falling asleep, Adipex works even better, like once it's in your system about 2-3 days in, you will notice yourself begin to sweat walking from living to bath, or bed.
Avatar n tn So realize my opinion is highly biased, but exercise and diet are the best weight control. No pill will ever come close to having the lasting effects of caring for oneself. If you want some tips on boosting metabolism without speed, I am more than willing to share what I know.
Avatar f tn The most effective diet is one that incorporates plenty of lean protein (chicken, fish, lean beef, beans, etc), low/no fat dairy, 5-7 servings of vegetable daily, 1-2 servings of fruit, whole grains, plenty of water and no junk food, which includes anything made with processed (table sugar) and white flour, white rice, etc. Has to be lifestyle changes; not just a "diet". You have to also incorporate a moderate exercise program.
Avatar f tn Are there any weight loss suppliments or pills that help curb your appetite or help with your weight loss?
Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
Avatar f tn I would not suggest that a 15 yr old use diet pills of any kind. If by chance they would help you lose some weight (most of the time they don't work), you will only gain it back once you stop taking them. It would be much better is you incorporate a sensible diet and exercise into your routine to lose weight, so you will be able to keep it off. Feel free to read some of the other posts and health pages to get some ideas on how/where to start on a weight loss journey.
1641357 tn?1470495393 I tried pills and hated them! I researched so many of them and ordered the ones I thought would suit me, (all natural, from a long-standing reputable company, tons of testimonials, scientifically proved ingredients) but OMG, the side-effects were awful! I only lasted 3days before giving them up and going back to just diets and working out.

Avatar f tn I've wanted to try some sort of diet pill that will either speed up my metabolism or reduce my appetite to help me lose weight along with my excercise (3-4 times a week). However, I'm hesitant to putting extra chemicals and whatnot in my body. Also, they tend to be expensive so I want to get something that actually works. Any suggestions??
Avatar n tn I am 6 weeks I was taking diet pills for two weeks not knowing I was pregnant will it hurt the baby?
Avatar n tn Diet pills, injections, "quick fixes"...none of these really work, and some are downright dangerous. You have to really, really work at weight loss. It takes dedication, education about proper nutrition, support, exercise, and a plan that you can live with for life. Or, just take some pills that may work for a few weeks or months, and then regain it all plus some. You choose.
Avatar f tn Most diet pills don't work, and if you do manage to lose weight on them, you will most likely gain it back if you stop taking them. No diet pill is intended to be taken indefinitely. Some are downright dangerous. You should read the ingredient label very carefully.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever tried Phenfuel diet pills? I have a buddy who swears by them and shifted about 3 stone with them but would love to hear any more feedback if anyone has tried them. Also wondering how they interact with anti-depressants (Prozac to be specific)?? Thanks....
4784361 tn?1401231107 Most of us here, aren't very open minded when it comes to diet pills. How about if I pretend to "be your doctor" and just say "no"?.. LOL Those pills really can have an adverse reaction since you're taking beta blockers (I used to be on them, too). Diet pills usually don't work, especially for those of us with hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn what is a really good diet to go on and how does it work? i want to lose weight fast, i have tried a few diet pills but they make me tired do any of them work?
501796 tn?1253328394 Diet pills only cause you to lose water weight. Your best bet is to eat healthy and exercise which should not cause any issues with tic.
1 alligator ) For a strange reason I could never follow any diet books, and I tried couple very advertised diet pills also...never helpd, except they gave me bad stomach and I really had to fight to get my money back. Hope you have more luck with diet books and pills, good luck anyways on weight loss.
Avatar f tn Since I started on Depakote, it's been really really bad. I used to take Tylenol 1's for pain, which has codeine in it, and it would constipate me. I rarely take them now, but I'm constipated worse then ever! I've just started fibre pills, I tried metamucil, it's still nasty in it's supposedly "smooth" formulas. *gags* - i bought another one, no flavour, I put a tiny bit in my cat's food, I have a really old cat, and he needs a little help.
