benicar side effects cough

Our daughter in law informed her doctor that she knows other people who have had the same side effects and were switched and that she also read about the side effects on the net. Doc still refuses to switch her. There are over 100 different BP meds on the market. My husband was switched 4 times before they found the right BP med for him with no or very little side effects, but this doctor wont switch our daughter in law to another BP med. We urged our daughter in law to get another doctor.

My 90 day average BP is 108/67 down from 135/85 when I started. I have had no side effects as well, the best of both worlds!

My blood pressure has been low, in the range of 90/60 since the surgery but the cardiologist wants me to continue the Benicar. He said it's "good for the heart". Has anyone ever heard of this before? My understanding was that Benicar is for high BP. Also, I have been feeling very down and blue a lot of the time. What could be causing this other than the fact that I just (3 weeks ago) had open heart surgery.

My question - Is this really the medicine side effects ? which drug could be better to not affect my running performance? Am I really with high blood pressure, because I've read some people saying that for people who are very active, it's common to have low pulse rate and relatively high systolic pressure?

from the package insert occasionally in the medication container) there are cardiac side effects. Your dose is a low one but the PVCs (if it is PVCs) need to be checked out by a physician. Maybe he could try another med and see if they go away! Keep us posted.

My LDL is 223 and before 222. when taking toprol XL 50-75 mg. My cholesterol is 177 when I am not on antihypertensive drugs. You can look up side effects of any medication on the Internet. Or talk to a pharmacist, they would also be able to tell you if those drugs would possibly give you excess sweating.

I have taken prednisone many other times, with no adverse side effects. I went to the doctor yesterday with the following symptomps; even though I knew that I was getting enough air, I felt that I could not get a good breath and my throat felt very tight and jaw just clenched open while I was gasping for breath. I am on Benicar HCT 40/20 mg as well, it is a great drug and has almost no side effects. You make it sound like you may be having some anxiety attacks as a result of your experience. One of the things you get with anxiety attacks is a release of adrenaline which can cause flushing on the face, back and upper torso, it's very common and most likely causing your issue. Try to stay calm and mention the anxiety to your doctor as they can treat that with meds as well.

The headaches are not normal headaches. They occur with physical exertion, sometimes, but almost everytime I cough. The pain comes up the back of my neck and then "washes" over my entire head with a throbbing pulsation I would say is 3 times as bad as contractions. It lasts from 3 seconds to 3 minutes, then either completely goes away or is followed by a normal, numb headache. Lying down helps it to ease within a minute or two most of the time.

I did consult with an Ayurvedic Doctor, who prescribed some compounds, non toxic, no side effects.
