I’ve been getting a lot of posts recently about using Human Growth Hormone (HGH) for weight loss, and decided it was about time I explained my position. Basically, I don’t recommend it. Why not? For those of you less familiar, let’s break it down. 1) What is HGH? Human Growth Hormone is a hormone normally produced by the brain’s pituitary gland. Its purpose is to stimulate growth and cell reproduction. For this reason, levels are higher in adolescence, and peak during your twenties.

I haven't tried it (except eating storebought cereals that happen to contain it), but flax seed has been recommended to me; the nutrition info checks out! http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/nut-and-seed-products/3163/2 With 150 calories/oz, and the ability to "hide" ground flaxseed in other foods (or at least that's what I've been told), it might be a good way to help boost your daily caloric intake.
This product is supose to be good for other reasons than just losing weight like the fact that Flax seed is rich in Omega 3,6, and 9 essential Fatty acids and are a good for the nervous system. Omega 3's fatty acids can also lower high blood preasure, can prevent arterial blockage and lower cholesterol levels. Flax seed has also been proven to help with diabetes and clontrol the level of sugar in the blood.
Sorry, but I don’t have any information on it’s use to help hair loss. Ground flax seed, (or flax seed oil), melatonin and dandelion can be are helpful, but flax seed in all forms becomes rancid quickly. Please keep all flax seed products refrigerated (flax seed oil), or frozen (ground flax seed). Flax in any form due to it’s high omega 3 fatty acid content is important for skin, joints and many other organs.
I have lots of friends that drink green tea for weight-loss benefits. I personally don't drink it, because I don't like the way it tastes, but lots of people do. You can buy it already mixed (Lipton makes one) but I think you receive better benefits from steeping it yourself.
I did for a minute but when I started focusing on my weight loss and didn't think about getting pregnant then out of the blue it happen. Take care and I hope everything works out.
Citrus aurantium’s main active compound is synephrine, which is chemically similar to the ephedra alkaloids found in many over-the-counter cold and allergy medications and in weight loss supplements containing Ma Huang. However, it does not have the adverse side effects of Ma Huang. who to believe?....seems like there is more conflicting info lately on health foods ...

and loading up with fresh fruit and low fat milk. Yogurt with flax seed or a bit of low fat granola is also on my menu with a piece of fruit.
It doesn't reduce cholesterol, it raises the levels of HDL, the good cholesterol. So does flax seed oil and hemp seed oil, but with different essential fats. It also acts as a mild blood thinner. What you want to do is start taking it and see on your next blood test if your HDL has gone up -- that means you're getting a good dose. High HDL is much more beneficial than high LDL is harmful.
//www.veria.com/healing/the-many-benefits-of-chia-seeds read this one veteranb, it may help you with weight loss. Have you heard about those two? I'm also taking Milk Thistle 250 mg 3 times a day and bee pollen in the morning.
Hi liketbskinny. Thank you for your advice. Trust me I will not give up. I'm losing pounds and that is all that matters to me as long as I take a healthy supplement like nopalina. I thought I was the only one with the diarrhea LOL but now I'm not concerned anymore. I told one of my friends about it and she'll buy it. She wanted to buy herbal light pills but I don't trust pills because once you stop taking them you gain back some extra pounds. I like nopalina.
Not everybody experiences weight loss the same way but I just wanted to tell you this product is very good not only for that but also for lots and lots of other things. Good luck mama.
Flax seeds (and I assume oil) can interfere with the absorption of certain medicines so I wouldn't take the chance if you want to maximize riba absorption. To be in the safe side, you'd probably be fine if you took your flax oil a couple of hours before or after the riba. Same thing with antacids. Personally, I try and take my riba with my two biggest meals of the day which have a higher fat content. Some studies suggest the bioavailabiity of ribavirin increases with a higher fat meal.
Has anyone in this group have their doctor inform them that if they take daily good healthy amounts of fish fat, flax seed oil, borage oil, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba and other things that are beneficial that they can lower their dose of warfarin? Probably none. Lets hear it. Has anybody been informed by their doctor that they can lower their dose of warfarin by taking benifiting to health suppliments?

You can by a product called flax seed oil at major grocery in the organic sections this can be put into food after the food has been cooked, but flax oil alone will not work, there are also foods that children with adhd should avoid like preservatives and red, yellow and blue food coloring.
Put it out of your mind. Will you dad drink smoothies? If so mix fruit, yogurt and add flax seed meal or flax oil. Flax will help put on weight and its full of omega 3. Ginger root is good for digestion. Grate a little and put it in the smoothie, oatmeal etc. You are right about the MELD score having limitations. But nobody can predict how long anyone will live or how fast or slow the disease will progress. By the rules, I should have been dead, but I wasn't!
Any tumor is serious. You might want to try AHCC, along with eating cottage cheese with organic flax seed oil. Grapes, grapes, grapes. A diet free of any chemicals. Know each chemical you put in your body. Start research 'Healing cancer with foods.' A couple people on the forum have mentioned nausea and vomiting and weight loss but most comments about weight have been about the weight gain while taking Incivek. I am in my 17th week of triple med treatment with Incivek (for 12 weeks), Riba, and Inf. I will be on Riba and Inf. for a total of 48 weeks. I gained weight (about 20 pounds) while I was taking Incivek because I was eating 20 grams (at least) of fat 4 times a day.
I take saw palmetto, selenium, kelp zinc, evening primrose, biotin, maganese silica, flax seed oil, fish oil, C, multiple, B-Complex. I can't continue taking all of these, its costly, but until I find out what is wrong with me I figured I would take them.
diet change, garlic, fish oil, and flax seed oil, among others; but I was never able to significantly lower my numbers. I have tried Lipitor twice for a short period of time and it worked, but I am not comfortable taking statins due to the possible side effects.

Bring a gallon of water to a boil then turn off the heat. Pour in 1 to 2 cups of WHOLE FLAX SEEDS-NOT FLAX MEAL. and just stir and let the mix come to room temp while stirring every 30 min or so. When it is cool, place a small hole strainer over a large mixing bowl and pour thru the strainer (the mix will be very thick and gelatinous) use a spoon or whisk to beat the seeds in the strainer to get more liquid in the bowl.
Most people lose a little bit of weight from it but it's not a weight loss diet so it's not a lot and that's not the purpose of it. After the three weeks you add one food back in (the one you've been most craving) and see if you react to it (give it approx 3-5 days since sometimes it can be a delayed reaction). If you don't react than you're good- if you do you know you should stay away from it.
