i am going to be taking a 24 hr urine in October 2009, hopefully the news is good. as far as the benazepril 10mg i haven't had any side effects...one of the most common side effects with blood pressure pills is a cough that could appear at anytime. also it is a good idea to keep your blood pressure below 130/80. sorry i took so long to answer.
Anyone on these meds for high blood pressure? Please let me know side effects? I am not due to go back to my doctor until next month. Thank you.
No meds have been effective-too many side effects. I find your comments about the complicated headaches interesting. I appreciate your comments! Helps to understand and research more!
I have tried BP meds twice now in a period of four or so years....Cozar, namely since my Dr. says they have the least side effects.....after I cant stand the side effects maybe two or three months into taking, I quit....and then have about three months of horrible after effects, namely anxiety, ear problems, head pressure etc., I am now going to go the holistic route and see what if anything I can do to get back to normal. and of course my blood pressure went up when I quit the meds.
While it is very effective, it is also processed in the kidneys and can cause some wild side effects like extreme nervousness and severe shaking. Benadryl can take care of the side effects if this happens. In my experience, once the kidneys reach the point of being unable to process oral reglan, the injectable version got around that problem. I'm just glad my husband was able to do the injections at home.
I started taking them myself when I was getting off an antidepressant which caused huge side effects, and I call it the miracle drug. I started Buddy on doggie Omega 3 three days ago, and I already notice that he's starting to rest more and lay on his side. I would HIGHLY recommend Omega 3 for dogs. 2. I also ordered Cardio Strength from Vetriscience, which has rec'd rave reviews from other vets and pet parents.
