Hello, First possibility is of a fungal infection of the belly button which may produce foul smelling yellowish or black discharge from the fungus and belly button is a humid place for fungus to thrive. If however the discharge is present throughout then possibility of a fistula is there where an abnormal passage forms between one organ like intestines and the outside of the skin. For the last several years (I have no idea when this started, I just began noticing it), I have had yellow, crusty discharge coming from my belly button. A couple months back (not sure how many) I started having problems with my belly button. The problem then was it was very red and irritated it and a smelly brownish i'll say discharge and it was itchy. I was going to see a doctor but i was told it was a yeast infection. I cleaned it out everyday with antibacterial soap, it then went away. So now a few months later its back but this time there is no discharge its not red or itchy and does not smell.

now the day after I asked mom and she said after birth because your ambilical cord hadnt cut well the doc burned it. and now the day after I feel pain inside of my belly button and seems oil still is there and I fear if it will become infected as I feel pain when I lay on it or touch. what should I do? should I use any antibiotics? is there anything to worry about?

I have a red rash in my belly button and on both breast but it is localized to the aereolas only, it does not extend out. My breasts do not itch at all, my belly button does midly from time to time. Not even bad enough that I want to scartch it. I had the same rash this winter, but just on the aereolas at that time, not belly button. No discharge at all. Any ideas??

aww how far long are you? at 20 weeks my belly button started to poke out once in awhile. i was so amazed the first time i saw it i was like omg look at my belly button. i took a million pictures and kept showing everyone lmao i was all proud. but my belly only pokes out sometimes i guess it depends on where she's at. but i love my belly bump too. i love to show it off but people say I'm so tiny and ask if i have back problems . i do but to me its all worth it.

My belly button didn't itch but the rest of my stomach did around 30 weeks. The skin is under a lot of pressure so that's probably why it's itching. Use a moisturizer to soothe it if it's really bothering you. I'm 39 weeks and my belly button is completely inside out at this point haha.

What I'd be concerned with is one of the risks of the procedure which is improper healing of the incision. If it has any odor at all, it is very likely infected. I shower everyday, I wash properly, I dry properly, hygiene is so important to me. However, my belly button is extremely deep, i cannot touch the end of it as it is that deep whereas my boyfriends end of bellybutton is totally visible!!
