Avatar f tn It would help if I had a list of foods to go grocery shopping for, and what I could or couldn't eat.
1291271 tn?1275493372 NO NO NO to the pizza - Here is a good site about post work ou food :) http://www.intense-workout.com/post_workout.html What you should and should NOT eat after a workout. Simply put, aside from water (which you should already know you need) your post workout meal needs to contain 2 things, and it needs to not contain 1. You should be eating protein and carbs. You should NOT be eating fat. More on the protein and carbs you need a little later.
Avatar n tn Thanks so much for your helpful ideas. I do know this will be a life changing way of eating and appreciate very much your help in doing this. Thanks again.
193609 tn?1292180293 So when people cut back or out on these types of foods, they tend to load up on foods that are lower in calories (most of the time) so they do actually end up eating restricted calories to some degree even if they arent adamently tracking their calorie intake. The quality of your calories and carbs do make a difference though so I cut back on most processed packaged foods and eat as many whole or real foods as possible.
874521 tn?1424116797 no commercial cat food is without its drawbacks, but the list is of some of the companies that go the extra mile to either use no grains or minimize them ant other plant-based 'fillers' in their foods. And use MEAT as the primary ingredient NOT a meat by-product. the listed foods are also void of any questionable preservatives such as BHA, BHT and ethoxyquin. they also do not contain soy, wheat or corn. the list is not comprehensive. these are a few examples of higher quality products.
1855476 tn?1356739693 If you are eating a lot of fruit, that can be a culprit as fruit is loaded with sugar and sugar equals carbs. Reduce the amount of fruit you are eating or find a type of fruit that it lower in carbs. Also, how many carbs are you trying to stick to? I believe anything under 100grams a day will help you burn fat, under 200 is good for maintenance. It's very easy to stick to under 100g a day if you aren't eating grains and loads of fruit.
1666434 tn?1325262350 Care must be taken, however, as not all foods can be eaten by all diabetics. Even though the ADA list specific foods first discuss with grandmother about foods that may affect her glucose levels in a negative manner.
Avatar f tn I know we are to avoid them, but the contents of the list changes with each list I see. One list says white potatoes then another list of good foods for FM has potatoes on it. I'm confused. I get the feeling you may know. I've been drinking Viva Acai juice daily also. What do you think of that? I assume you have FM.
Avatar n tn Make a list of low glycemic foods and also a list of alkalizing foods and eat mainly from these 2 lists. Make sure you balance your intake with some good quality proteins.
Avatar m tn Most prepackaged foods will list carbohydrates. Go to calorieking.com for listings of ALL foods, even restaurant foods so you can find out the carbs in anything. Be sure your portion matches what is listed or you will be off on your count.
Avatar f tn It is highly unlikely that any of these awful supermarket brands on our list of Bad Dog Foods will be carried or recommended by any respectable, independent dog food store. Worst Dog Food Rating - Zero Scoops!
1975145 tn?1419909636 Can any one list some foods that will help keep diabetes away ? I have been told I am pre diabetic and my numbers seems to keep climbing. I do not think the food I eat now is that bad and I don't eat much at all really and usually only 2 times a day. I will eat anything but fish. Please if you would be so kind as to list some foods to and not to eat would be most appreciated.
790165 tn?1268836968 Carbs and sugars are bad for us who have PCOS. Like jilianporter said carbs get converted into sugars and for those who have PCOS have a hard time breaking those simply foods down. Things like white flour, pasta, bread are not BAD per say....but if you cannot rid those of your diet atleast eat the whole graines, whole wheat pasta (searving size, of course which is 2 ounces). Watch what types of fruit you eat, as some are worse then others.
1085545 tn?1284042254 I am also a vegetarian and found I had to make some drastic changes in my diet, but I am now able to eat a variety of foods and enjoy cooking again. What you need to reduce is your intake of carbs. If you are used to eating a large amount of rice (for me the problem was pasta) you will have to change that.
Avatar m tn I can't add too much to the good advice you've already received but just a couple comments: Binge eating is often a combination of emotional (using food to deal with feelings) and physical. Carbs and sugar most of all are truly addictive. When you eliminate the sugar and reduce your intake of carbs you may find you have a significant reduction in cravings. Then you just need to deal with the psychological aspects.
Avatar f tn there are gas releif medications you csn take ... your doctor should have given you a list of over-the-counter dos and don'ts ...
Avatar f tn hello ladies, I've always been quite healthy and went to gym everyday, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and since 6 weeks I've not managed to eat a single healthy thing as it's just not what I want and doesn't help at all with my terrible nausea and sickness. I've been eating a lot of carbs like bread pasta and dry snacks, I feel like this is bad as I'm not helping myself with unnecessary weight gain. Is this normal?
Avatar n tn I do fine if I limit breads and carbos to nearly nothing, if I introduce sugars like a soda, carbs such as brades or pasta and even the breads on the foods that are fried, sugars in the dressings, I have some obvious problems. I will generally fall asleep like I have been drugged in about 15 to 20 minutes. The following morning I have feet that hurt when I get up for about ten minutes feels like their swollen but not in appearance.
Avatar f tn I have some questions regarding so called trigger foods. I do not eat alot of sugar, I do have a bowl of cereal one bowl every night. Could be apple jacks, rice krispies whatever, but that is usually the only excess sugar i eat. I do drink some coffee, but I use more decaffinated and mix just alitle caffeine coffee just to prevent any headaches from withdrawals. I do eat light wheat bread at leat 2 serving a day and try to eat a yogurt every morning. Fat free of course.
