ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit.
Cold gone sinus not infected but having some pain that feels like a tooth ache and slight tickle or sting in nostrils when breathing. Left septum is a little enlarged.
Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban. The original sore that was on my cheek never dried out, instead shrinking from the Bactroban. I am still suffering these and other new symptoms and I wonder if the original sore might be keeping the virus active since it never naturally resolved. Someone PLEASE help me. Thank you.
My husband also has heart failure and has been having nose bleeds. We took him to ER, They looked up his nose with a small light , walked out of the room, came back with a bottle of nose spray. Afrin, slammed it on the table, said use this 2 times a day, for allergies and walked out.
We wait 10 minutes for someone to come with discharge papers, no one ever did. So we walked out.
I was diagnosed with a staph infection in and outside my nose. My nose was so red I could have been Rudolph'sister!! Anyways it would go away and come back again over and over every time getting worse and worse. I would get soars in my nose and on my top and bottom lip. It itches and burns and stings all at the same time. I now believe that my staph infection turned into perioral dermatitis. Is this possible?
( Do you know anything that will help me rid myself of this mrsa mess!!! I will be going in to the Dr. tomm to see about bactroban for my nose. I use dial regularly & keep a clean & disinfected home! ***** but I'm not gonna let it ruin my life. I have 3 beautiful sons & a loving Husband. All gifts from God! i have been getting painful blisters in my nose for quite some time. i now have one in my ear.
She said a bump and it is on the inside toward the front inside wall of my nose. I can't feel it when I put my finger up my nose only feel it when I scrunch my nose up or wiggle it. My dr also suggested not using my Flonase for a week or so that it might be causing the soreness and bump haven't used it in 2 days and starting to feel a little better.

I saw another doctor, who said I had folliculitis, and he prescribe Bactroban(Mupirocin) for me. He also hints me the folliculitis cannot be cured completely. I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on.
A topical antibiotic cream, mupirocin (Bactroban®), has been effective at reducing bacterial colonization in the nostrils. It is applied twice daily for a week and is repeated every 6 months.

I decided to make a dermatologist appointment, and she prescribed Nystatin and Mupirocin for the time being, and took two cultures, one of the corners of my mouth and one in my nose to check for bacteria. I had to mix the two prescriptions together 2-3 times a day for 5 days. The condition definitely got better, but was still somewhat visible. The results of the cultures came back last week and I apparently had a minor staph infection in my nose, so she prescribed Bactroban Nasal.
I have always had a clear complexion but 2 times in my life I have had issues with the skin between my nose and mouth. I went to a dermatologist once and he perscribed this ointment and it went away. I was working in the service industry then, but not now. I dont know if I am having this as a result of an allergic reaction, or is it a fungus or a staph infection or some kind of bacterial infection or yeast infection or something else?
Also, I noticed that my entire body felt like it was constantly trembling and that my pulse was constantly rapid. I went back to the doctor and he took a culture and gave me bactroban to put on the burn until the results come back. Since then, the area around the burn seems very faintly pink (when I had the cellulitis it was red) and still warm and tender to the touch, and also that I am experiencing alot of numbness and tingling and a burning sensation on my left leg, both arms, and my face.
The anti-biotic helps for the infection but it doesnt seem to kill the bacteria, ive had this bacteria for almost two years now and maybe the nose swipe came back negative cause i was using nose bactroban at that moment in time? I do have Epidermolysis Bullosa which is a inherited connective tissue disease causing blisters in the skin and mucosal membranes so my skin comes of easier than other people , not sure if it could be a factor.
I thought I had a pimple on my cheek, then the next day it looked more like a mozzie bite, the following day I thought a boil so I started putting bactroban on. It had like a hard core, was raised with what looked like a bit of puss in the middle surrounded by a red ring then the redness and swelling (like a great big puffy, red blister but not a blister) spread out towards my nose.
I am wondering if its just the infection showing it self again and then leaving multiple times over the last few years. Having a cough and stuffy nose is a common thing especially when the bumps on the back of the shoulder are larger. I within the last few days have noticed dozens of little red dots appear on my shoulders, upper arms and back, chest area in the middle. I also in the past have had bumps show up and then open and blue or puss.
It is located on my cheek and I recently had a test for cold sores and it came back negative, but I put cold sore cream by chemists own (aciclovir 5%) on it and that seems to work. What is it?? I remember placing Bactroban on it which seemed to speed up the healing process, could this cold sore cream help a bacterial infection or could bactroban help a cold sore? Please help

The red bumps are looking like they might be getting infected. I have a tube of 2% Bactroban (or Mupirocin is what it actually says) can I use this on that area to prevent further infection? How can I avoid this when shaving in the future?
My 3 year old son has had a small cut under his earlobe where it connects with his face. I recently took him into the Dr and they prescribed Bactroban and said to put Eucerin lotion on it inbetween Bactroban treatments for 10 days. It does not seem to be healing up. I am not sure if it is because he bothers it and is keeping it from healing. Is there anything else I can be doing to help this cut heal and close?
My 17 year old son was using ProActiv on his acne and it was working well for a month. Then, 4 days ago a small pimple below his nose burst and he decided to put proactiv on it. Overnight his top lip swelled a substantial bit, and it seems to have fluid inside.
Last night we took him to our GP, who prescribed Keflex tablets and bactroban ointment twice daily and recommended Nurofen to relieve the swelling.
