I used the mupiricin.(Bactroban) to keep the nasal blisters moist. Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban. The original sore that was on my cheek never dried out, instead shrinking from the Bactroban. I am still suffering these and other new symptoms and I wonder if the original sore might be keeping the virus active since it never naturally resolved. Someone PLEASE help me. Thank you.

ENT said I had some colonies in nose soUsed Bacrtoban for 3 days and slight pain in my nose went away per ENT. I stopped the bactroban after 3 days because I was not sleeping but I was also using Nasocort and maybe that was the culprit. Cold gone sinus not infected but having some pain that feels like a tooth ache and slight tickle or sting in nostrils when breathing. Left septum is a little enlarged.

The red bumps are looking like they might be getting infected. I have a tube of 2% Bactroban (or Mupirocin is what it actually says) can I use this on that area to prevent further infection? How can I avoid this when shaving in the future?

I have to put Bactroban on the infected part to relieve the symptom, when I found acnes symptom become more severe. Then, I put Bactroban on my face. At the first 2 days, nothing happen. I therefore put more Bactroban on. Probably as I put too much dosage on my face, I felt the skin on my face was pickled and I can see some wrinkles on my face. 4-5 days later, ances disappeared. However, I feel my skin is not as healthy as before since that.

I missed my MD appt today because I think I have the flu. I have felt very weak, nauseated for about 10 days. I also have a headache and severe nasal allergies. I have had the scalp sores/bumps/scaliness for a bout 2 weekks. I also have a swollen lymph node. Any connection between the three? Could the cause of the scalp thing be allergy?

Flonase, is that for nasal congestion? I have tried it for chronic night time nasal congestion... it "sort of" works. Has it worked well for you, bump aside? I love Afrin, but it can not be used more than a few days in a row. I have pushed it too far and have suffered some rebound. I understand Flonase/Generic does not risk "rebound".

The results of the cultures came back last week and I apparently had a minor staph infection in my nose, so she prescribed Bactroban Nasal. I had to squeeze half of a small tube of the ointment into each nostril twice a day for 5 days. I finished the prescription a few days ago but my lips look the same! WHAT IS IT? And why won't it go away?! I am embarrassed and just cannot take it anymore. Please help.

My doctor put me on Bactrim for a sinus infection. I have had a slight reaction to it in the past. A couple hours after taking it I started getting a really bad itch on my penis. The skin under the helmet also swelled way up and it hurts a bit. I've taken Bactrim about 5 days now and the skin directly under the lip of the helmet has been peeling and is really sore. It is located on my cheek and I recently had a test for cold sores and it came back negative, but I put cold sore cream by chemists own (aciclovir 5%) on it and that seems to work. What is it?? I remember placing Bactroban on it which seemed to speed up the healing process, could this cold sore cream help a bacterial infection or could bactroban help a cold sore? Please help P.

My 3 year old son has had a small cut under his earlobe where it connects with his face. I recently took him into the Dr and they prescribed Bactroban and said to put Eucerin lotion on it inbetween Bactroban treatments for 10 days. It does not seem to be healing up. Said I should use Bacitracin for a year as Bactroban burned and dismissed me.(I am allergic to all antibiotics but two and most other drugs-happens over time) 2nd ENT said Bacitracin irritates and easy to get allergic to it. Already allergic to Neosporin. She said my nose is extremely dry causing the scabs, crusting and rawness. Even feels sore down the back of my nose into the throat area now.

Hi there...I posted a comment on the forum page about 2 days ago and need a reply asap! Skin Infection - Cellulitis I recently had an accident on my chin. It was a wound that required stitches. Then I noticed an Infection coming on around the wound. It was red, very painful, Inflammed and so on. I went back to my doctor who in turn gave me anti-biotics that contained penicillin that didnt help it at all, in fact it got worse and spread right around my chin.
