I thought I had a pimple on my cheek, then the next day it looked more like a mozzie bite, the following day I thought a boil so I started putting bactroban on. It had like a hard core, was raised with what looked like a bit of puss in the middle surrounded by a red ring then the redness and swelling (like a great big puffy, red blister but not a blister) spread out towards my nose.
While this is normal, it does increase the risk of infection developing in the bite. Before a bite becomes infected - here are some measures you can take to prevent a large spider bite from becoming infected. Follow these steps two or three times a day:
Wash the bite with warm soapy water.
Apply some diluted hydrogen peroxide (mix ½ water with ½ peroxide).
Wash off the peroxide after two minutes.
Apply an over-the-counter antibiotic ointment.
Does anyone know anything about a spider bite ? I've never had one before but i think I have one.
We just were able to buy milk today for our supper, not a lot of extra money for doctor. Should I put bakingsoda paste and tough it out or should I go to Doc. I do not know what else they could do except maybe steriods?

Unless a spider is observed in the act of biting, it should not be assumed that a spider bite has occurred. Many spider bites, including those by some dangerous species, are relatively painless at first and may go unnoticed if not directly observed.
Treatments for more minor bites should be as for any puncture wound. The wound should first be encouraged to bleed to wash out any foreign material and debris.
BUT I SURE WISH he would have his home professionally sprayed, he just bombs it, not sure if that helps, he did get new carpet and she has been bite free for 2 years SO THANKFUL. I just found a wolf or house spider in my sink and am freaked out that there is more and wonder if they came from the drain???? some say YES they do some say NO They dont!!! I have some type of insect bite (I believe spider) on my stomach that has only gotten larger and itchier in the past few days. I've had all types of insect bites and stings before but never had this reaction.
At first, the bite was slightly elevated and red. It was about the size of a quarter. Over the past few days, it's spread out significantly and is still elevated. It's about the size of 3 quarters. It's also dry and bumpy and has gotten more red.
Could it be a spider bite?
