Avatar f tn I'm 33 weeks and for the last couple of days I've had trouble sleeping and my back has been killing me. So has my pelvic bone is this normal?
Avatar n tn Poor posture while sleeping, sitting on computers or jobs for a long time, uneven bed, exposure of back to cold air while sleeping can cause a discomfort for a few days. Please consult a neurologist. A MRI of the spine is definitely required. When you go to ER, get this assessed too. A slipped disc if present needs prompt treatment. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn Im 28 weeks and get really bad back ache when sitting and sleeping. I have found supporting my back with pillows helpful and also changing position regularly while sleeping to stop too much pressure being put on one side. Apart from that though I think it's just part of pregnancy!! Although it's a good excuse for bad rubs!
Avatar f tn You can try sleeping on a heating pad and if that doesn't help you can use biofreeze while pregnant or take tylenol
Avatar m tn Over the past month while I am sleeping and I turn over I get pain in my right knee. Once I settle after the turn it goes away and I fall back to sleep. I also get some pain in my right shoulder at the same time. On several occasions I was not able to get back to sleep right away. Any suggestions for the cause and how to fix it so I can sleep thru the night.?
Avatar n tn t move my left arm at all without severe pain all through the left side of my chest and into my back. now months later i have had consistent paint in my chest that feels like an ache and sometime it almost feels like my heart is beating really weakly. Wondering if i should go to a doctor or if it will just go away. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
Avatar f tn s most likely round ligament pain. I had it really bad w my last baby. I would almost come to tears from the pain when I rolled out of bed, moved suddenly, sneezed (that was the worst). Unfortunately it's very normal when prego & won't go away until U give birth. Look it up online so it's easier to visualize where the ligaments are. Think of the ligament as a rubber band any sudden movement it will pull & snap back and hurt U.
Avatar n tn And CPAP might cause my eye very dry that caused real pain. So I wore the eye sleeping patch but the pain occurred under the patch. This week one early morning I removed my CPAP when I needed to go to the pot. I went back to bed but I did not put CPAP back. I went back to sleep. Two hours later the pain stabbed my eyeball and this time I was aware when it hurt before I opened my eyelids. Now I know I do not sleep with eyes open. There is something else new.
Avatar f tn This is my second pregnancy/child and the back pain is out of control! The first pregnancy was good, easy,no problems and now this time around I'm having horrible lower back pain. Does anyone else have this or have experienced this? Does it last long? I'm already exhausted and now I'm not sleeping? Any ideas remedies suggestions to help? Thanks!
9597762 tn?1413209025 You should try your best to stay off your back. When you do, the weight of baby and the uterus slows the return of blood to your heart, and reduces the blow flow to the baby. That means your baby is getting less oxygen and fewer nutrients. I put pillows in front of me and behind me right against my back to prevent myself from rolling to my back in my sleep. You shouldn't be on your back for more than 15-30 minutes.
Avatar f tn When my back hurts I lay on the floor on my back with my knees to my chest and relax for a while. Just make sure someone is around to help you get back up just in case you get stuck like a turtle. And massages are always nice.
Avatar m tn In recent weeks, I also started to feel pain (though not severe) in my both arms, from wrist to almost end of arm and some time numbness in my both thumbs (while sleeping). The pain is not particular severe, but the feelings of the arm and wrist tired and like the veins are tight around wrist. any idea??

Avatar m tn For the last two years or so I have had back pain before and after sleeping. My back is fine throughout the day but 30 seconds or so after lying down in bed, I feel a very uncomfortable 'nipping' in my lower thoracic spine. After changing position several times the pain subsides and allows me to fall asleep however 6 hours later I wake up with worse pain in the same area and cannot fall back asleep without having to get up and stretch my back for 5-10 minutes.
Avatar f tn I have read that you aren't supposed to sleep on your back while pregnant, but I can't get comfortable any other way. I normally am a stomach sleeper but I obviously can't do that since my belly gets in the way. I try side sleeping but I can only do that for so long, my back is the only comfortable position. Any other mommies slept on there back while pregnant?
Avatar f tn 33wks & I cannot sleep tonight due to terrible lower back pain, I can't tell if it's because my hips hurt because they need to pop (laying in the same positions at night are wearing on them) it's going into my lower back tho, it's that or if it's the position of the baby but boy am I over it. My husband is sleeping because he has to be up early for work so I got up for a while and it feels better to be in a siting position. Anyone else having this same issue?
Avatar f tn Poor posture while sleeping, sitting on computers or jobs for a long time, uneven bed, exposure of back to cold air while sleeping can cause a discomfort for a few days. Take a multivitamin, plenty of fluids, and an OTC analgesic. Apply a local analgesic and apply a heating pad and see if it helps. If this does not help, consult a neurologist. A MRI of the spine will be definitely required. The treatment is to remove the compression.
Avatar f tn Very very normal. Im only 28 wks and i haven't slept since 16 weeks my back and hips ache so much especially at night! Theres not really anything u can do except use lots and lots of pillows! You're so close to being done just hang in there. Try drinking sleepy time tea to relax at night :-) good luck mama.
