696755 tn?1236016312 I have had neck and back pain for the past few weeks. I also noticed that my shoulders are uneven and my neck is almost always tilted to either side-just a little bit but enough to be noticable. Should I worry about it or will it correct itself in time? I'm on crutches, could that have helped cause it?
Avatar m tn Since last week I have had the headache and neck pain is much worse radiating from the back of my head (where the two bones at the back of the head are) to my shoulders. The headache seems to be worse in the morning when I wake up and is not a constant headache. It comes and goes during the day but is at worse in the mornings and at night. I also feel nauseous a lot of times not sure if it could be related to the headache or not. The neck pain is also more like a burning type of pain.

Avatar n tn Hi, Chronic sinusitis usually manifests with cough, thick greenish discharge from nose to the back of throat, headache, pain in the jaw and teeth area, pain and swelling near the eyes, cheeks, throat etc. Neck pain along with these symptoms can be radiated pain and could be due to chronic sinusitis. But if you are having only neck pain then it could be related to trauma to the cervical spine, slipped disc, muscle sprain, hypertension etc.
Avatar m tn The irritation could be due to neck trauma, pinching of the nerves (by muscles or arthritis), and other causes. Symptoms include a piercing sharp pain that travels from the upper neck to the back of the head and behind the ears. It is usually a one sided pain but can be on both sides of the head. Treatment includes physical therapy, medications, and in some cases injections, "nerve blocks", during which a physician injects the irritated nerves with an anesthetic.

Avatar n tn That same night, got an instant headache during sex--never had a headache come on that instantly before. Mild headache and sore neck remained. A few days later, tweaked my upper back playing basketball. Pain lasted 1/2 a day and went away. About a week later, saw my regular MD and he said it might be migraine. That night, experienced mild numbing in arm (top of forearm) and right side of face (cheek area). I went to ER, blood tests and CT scan were normal.

The pain is frequently bilateral which means it is present on both sides of the head at once. Tension-type headache pain is typically mild to moderate".

Avatar n tn pain on the neck radiating to the back of his head, numbing of his head (back portion) and mild numbing of left arm whenever he wakes up. He's got visual disturbances like mild blurring of vision and photosensitivity, he also complains that his eyes feel kind of sleepy everyday. Avatar f tn Avoid a pillow. Roll a towel and place it under your neck while sleeping on the back and between head and shoulder when lying on the side. Initially this will be uncomfortable but with time the acupressure will work. Use an analgesic cream or spray. Anti-inflammatory drugs help. Also, you must improve your posture while sitting and working. Please discuss these options with your treating doctor. Take care!
