To help you with the reflux (if he has it), it is important that the position of feeding is above 45 degrees or more, almost sitting up. Never lay him on his back when he is feeding or right after you are finished with feeding because the acid from the stomach goes into the esophagus and causes pain, plus vomiting. With my son he seemed to always throw up everything he ate almost every feeding. The doctor told me to burp him halfway through and then again when he was done eating. I was also told to put him in a swing or car seat (something to keep him inclined) for at least 30 minutes after feeding him to help with the spitting up.
I know spitting up is completely normal for newborns but my 2 week old seems to throw up after almost every feeding. I breast feed, by the way. Its not just a little spit up, it looks like almost the whole feeding.
Could this be because of my milk isn't settling right or what? I did call the pediatrician but won't have an appointment until next week and I'm worried something could be wrong.
I'm mainly breastfeeding but starting to supplement feed with formula. My baby is 9weeks old. I'm choosing to supplement as I feel I don't 'fill up' fast enough to keep up with my baby and by night time she is grizzly and frustrated trying to feed. My problem is I give her formula and soon after she throws it all back up. She doesn't seem distressed at all from her power chuck.
Yea feed baby. But try more burp breaks in between. He's drinking too fast. Shows a good appetite. That's awesome.
Try feeding her more. Probably the worst thing that'll happen is she'll throw up. Did she already have her check up?

He sometimes will throw up after eating his food if he doesnt chew it enough. Any way tonight I came home from work and he had throw at least 4 diff. times in diff spots. It is brown and liquid like and doesnt seem to have food mixed in with it. Also he usually hops in bed with me but has been sitting by the door to go outside which is unusual. I have also noticed a lump or pouch type thing in his lower abdomen which I made an apt. for at the vet to have checked.
t finish her bottle I put it in the fridge then heat it up again for her next feeding. But she tricked me, she was acting hungry so I heated it up but when I got to her she had went back to sleep.
Can I put it back in the fridge and heat it up again when she actually is hungry??
Or is that a bad idea to heat it twice??
Hello, My cat has been throwing up a brown very watery liquid for the past few days. He will go maybe a whole day and not throw up at all but then overnight we find that he's thrown up 4 or 5 times. He still drinks his water and eats his food and seems his normal self but i'm worried there might be something else wrong. Oh, this morning in his vomit was a lot of little white pecks maybe a little larger than grains of salt or sugar. Thnx any help would be appreciated.
He said the heart was lifted because of fat. After the antibiotics she continued to throw up once or twice a week so we took her back and got another round of antibitiotics. She is done that now and continues to throw up. We have spent more than $1000 already and can not afford to continue to take her for expensive tests with no results.

My pediatrician said it is perfectly fine to drink 1 glass of wine a day. She said immediately after feeding and or p ping start your 1 glass.
Now for feeding she she starts sucking her thumb, I drop milk into the side of her mouth. After 1 or 2 oz, I introduce the bottle. After feeding 3 oz and she gets sleepy, I Introduce my breast. She has no problem chewing on other items around the house, but once you try feeding her with the bottle or breast without going through the above procedure, she throws a hysterical fit.
Question: I need advice how to wean her from the dropper and either to a bottle or a sippy cup.
Do any of you ladies ever throw up directly after you eat your food, like it doesn't even get down good. If so do you eat right after since the baby didn't get much of what you ate or you wait?
Okay thanks also i was wondering when and if i pump at work what do i do with it? Just throw it away?
