482850 tn?1215066002 C, rheumatoid arthritis, etc…This Doctor felt the skins lesions were due to the small bowel resection causing a mal-absorption of nutrients and vitamins, specifically the “Bvitamins. Current situation: I am still taking the Cephalexin 3 time per day, using the Triamcinolone/Sarna ointment 4-5 times each day, and I am taking 5 times the normal recommended daily amounts for all “B” vitamins and take 5 multi-vitamins so my body will at least absorb some of this.
Avatar f tn Drug allergies may cause many different types of symptoms depending on the drug and the degree of exposure to the drug (how often you have taken it). Allergic reactions to B vitamins are rare and are generally confined to vitamins B3 and B6.These include skin eruptions, hypersensitivity, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, Flushing, joint pains, skin rash, muscle cramps and fever. Treatment of vit B allergy includes stopping the intake of vit B.

681148 tn?1437661591 I have tried everything I can think of. My scalp is dry and itchy. It sometimes has eczema or dermatitits in addition to this problem. I've added healthy oils to my hair and scalp and left them in. In a short time, my hair is back to its dry, dull and frizzy self. I'm at my wits end with this. I have loads of allergies, so I'm careful as far as that goes. I don't wash more than once every week or every other week.
1139187 tn?1355706647 There's a whole list of B vitamins; you're only injecting B-12. 866 isn't all that high on injections. Mine is usually right close to the 1100 mark, which is the top of the range my lab uses, but you're doing pretty good. There's a difference between Boost and Voost... Red_Star is in Australia and that's where she gets Voost; it's not available in the U.S. from what I can see. You can buy something similar made by Kruger at Amazon.com http://www.amazon.
3063937 tn?1352422855 Also vitamins b-6 and b-12 to help with fatigue. And they also sell a med OTC at Walmart called restless legs u can take before bed that will help with the legs at night also and as always get ya a good multi vitamin.
Avatar f tn There an awful lot of them that might help. I'd recommend you find a holistic nutritionist for help with this. They'll help to make you as strong as they can, and with so many things to choose from and not knowing what meds you might be taking, they can help with the trial and error of finding what works. Diet is also very important for this particular problem, more so than supplements.
1808884 tn?1324345703 MAKE SURE TO TAKE VITAMIN B-12, MULTI-VIT, VIT-C, CALCIUM (NOT AT THE SAME TIME AS C OR THE C WILL KILL THE CALCIUM), MAGNESIUM. I AM TAKING FOLIC ACID WITH B-12. I WOULD MAKE SURE THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU BY LOOKING IT UP ON LINE, IT'S PROBABLY OK!
1386293 tn?1279592464 t have a glow in my skin. I even have some redness in my skin which is due to acne. Can you suggest me some remedies. I drink a lot of water is it harmful too? Does masturbation affect our glow in face?

Avatar n tn I know that I can't take multi-vitamins or B-complex vitamins myself. I recently learned from reading this forum that people allergic to B-complex are usually allergic to B3 and B6. For me there is no doubt that I was reacting to B6, since I had been trying to take it separately. My symptoms went away when I stopped taking B6. Someone once asked me if I had been flushing, since niacin will make people flush. No, I had a different symptom altogether that was clearly an allergic response.
Avatar f tn Cat, Try to load up on gatorade & bananas as well. DOnt know about the 5HTP, but Vit B, C and Calcium has helped me with the leg stuff. Stay the course!
Avatar n tn Have you made sure that you have plenty of B vitamins (that helps the nerves) and looked into perhaps some other treatments such as acupuncture for relief?
4209053 tn?1351516914 I am deff going to get these vitamins today. No more relapsing !!! I hope this helps me feel better....trick-or-treating is just tomorrow night.
599170 tn?1300973893 I've taken a multi vitamin daily since I was 13. I sometimes take extra B vitamins as well. I think when things are so hectic we sometimes don't get as well or as much as we should and any bit helps.

Avatar n tn "HCV infection significantly lowered vitamin B(6) and folate (p<0.05). Therapy caused further decrease in vitamin B(6) (p<0.05), and also significantly decreased vitamins B(1) and B(2) (p<0.05). This anti-HCV therapy caused more patients to exhibit insufficient iron status. HCV infection elevated plasma level of malondialdehyde and 8-isoprostane, and therapy further exacerbated lipid oxidation (p<0.05).
1509970 tn?1290036714 If you have been tested and are actually B deficient or in the low end of normal range, you can ask your doctor about this (it's a Rx supplement here in the US): http://www.pamlab.com/Products,Cerefolin Hopefully the National Health will cover it where you are, otherwise it can be kind of pricey. Since it's componded with N-acetylcysteine, it may help the liver, besides providing vitamin B in a form the body can use without going the shot or sublingual route.
Avatar f tn I take a cayenne pepper supplement for metabolism support, an acai+superfruit supplement, super b complex and a multivitamin. Is it safe to take all these together and does the cayenne pepper supplement help you lose weight?
Avatar n tn If it's a prenatal, it probably contains iron, vit C and B vitamins, all of which can stimulate you and wake you up... They're great for the morning, but not so good to take at night. Good night time vitamins that promote relaxation are magnesium, zinc and calcium.
Avatar n tn I always change my diet, but I havent had much bread as I think I have an allergy to wheat. Forgot to keep taking B vitamins for missing vitamins. Good luck! There is always a cure! Just keep researching and trying different things. Stay hopeful.
Avatar f tn I take my prenatal vitamins but recently started taking a hair skin and nails due to my hair thinning and nails pealing so I'm hoping that helps
