Avatar m tn I have since found out it is not a good idea to split a Somac tablet. I'm still interested to hear from anyone who has an opinion about whether a 20mg tab twice a day is any better than a 40mg once a day.

Avatar n tn Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?
3136355 tn?1343287969 I an 51 years old I visited about 3 neurologists in my lifetime since i was about 10 years old. the last neurologist put me on epilim and azor .5mg - it seem to keep the dizzyness away. if i became dizzy, I was down for quite a few heavy sleeping hours. as soon as i woke up, it was gone. I could never play netball in school, or go dancing with flashing lights etc. since about a year ago, i started having other symptoms as well.
Avatar n tn I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.
Avatar f tn I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting side effects that I first got when I started the pill.
Avatar m tn He was under treatment and was given Pentasa granules , T PAN (40mg), Tab wysolone and Pentasa Anema. As there was no improvement. Doctor adviced to have Exemptia (Adalimumab) injection. 4 injections (40mg 8ml) was given. Next day he was having stomach pain, tight and rigid stomach, and fast breathing. He was immediately admitted in the nearby hospital and doctor found he was suffering from megacolon (toxic colon).
Avatar n tn Wife, 89, has history of atril fib and is prescribed lisinopril (40mg), lasix (40mg) and lanoxin (20mg) along with coumadin (5mg) daily. Recent wide-ranging BP/Pulse readings (160's/80's and pulse below 50) led to adding Toprol XL. First tab last night at bedtime resulted in lowered BP (128/50 and pulse of 41) this AM. Accompanied by inability to urinate (except few drops) for a water drinker.
Avatar f tn I was DX with Barretts 5 years ago. Two EGD's show no changes in the cells. I also have had pain and burning in my right retrosternal area and grinding pain in my back under my right scapula for years. The pain has been getting worse but CT scans are negative despite recently a serum amylase of 633. My Gastroenterologist says surgery (cholecystectomy), is not warrented since the CT scans are negative. What is causing the elevated amylase? CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality.
Avatar m tn Hi everyone! I am currently taking or should I say prescribes to take 1 40mg oxy every 12 hours. 1090984 tn?1463769850 I never had a problem until I had my first baby and a week later my bp was 161/110 2nd baby after a week shot up to 191/110. Took forever to go down and was finally put on Azor 5/40 plus a water pill. I went off because my bp was normal after a year or 2, then one night I had a heavy chest, I took my bp and it was 180/108. What concerns me is my diastolic stays high, in the morning my bp can go down to 120/90, the disatolic remains high. or I get readings of 150/99 to 117/91.
Avatar f tn If you are not able to access one, you can as well give the medicine at the rate of 40mg/kg body weight i.e. it comes to around 400mg 8th hourly. You can give 3/4 of the tab once in 8 hours which is a safe dosage. But I still recommend you to go for the house hold remedy, encourage him to drink plenty of warm water, warm salt water gargles. Also you can give pain killers (such as Acetaminophen) if any. See a doctor at the earliest.
Avatar m tn Would it be better to do oxy 40mg time release with Darvocet n-100? Or would tremedol I think its called? I also have Naproxen 500mg tabs......which one of these would be most effective together or to help me take LESS 40mg oxy's?
767538 tn?1276575320 I have been on 30-40mg and have tapered down to 5mg. I tried to stop once before but the W/Ds were just too much. Do you think I'm going to be ok this time seeing as it's been 72 hours since my last dose and I feel I can handle the W/Ds right now? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Brian.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Vicodin 10/325, 1-2 tab every 4-6 hr and Hydrocodone 40mg three times a day for pain suffered from a car accident with a semi truck and injuring my neck and back. My questions is in January 2014 I started having bilateral swelling in my feet that progressed to both legs to thighs and I read a post on here that someone else experienced this same problem. Medically I have been cleared for kidneys, liver and the cardiac cath came back ok.
486822 tn?1208800499 Has anyone here hadan RAI for hyperthy? Can you tell me a little bit about what to expect. I'm very nervous about this because of what happens when the gland begins to die and starts dumping hormones in the blood stream. I read it can cause a storm and with my heart problems and high blood pressure, I'm terrified! Does anyone know if being on high does of beta blocker will help this. I'm currently on 400 mg of PTU per day, 200 mg of atenolol, and Azor for BP as well.

Avatar n tn I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.
Avatar f tn I'm glad I found this forum! I have never taken pain pills in my entire life up until about 6 months ago. I fell off the back of a u-haul truck and landed on my back. The dr. put me on 10 mg norcos which didn't help at all. My dose was gradually increased to 40mg (10mg 4xday) and that seemed to do the trick. That was 4 months ago. I no longer have any back pain, so I decided to quit cold turkey 3 days ago thinking, no big deal. Big Deal indeed!
