Common Questions and Answers about Azor opa

norvasc

Avatar n tn Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?
3136355 tn?1343287969 I an 51 years old I visited about 3 neurologists in my lifetime since i was about 10 years old. the last neurologist put me on epilim and azor .5mg - it seem to keep the dizzyness away. if i became dizzy, I was down for quite a few heavy sleeping hours. as soon as i woke up, it was gone. I could never play netball in school, or go dancing with flashing lights etc. since about a year ago, i started having other symptoms as well.
Avatar n tn I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.
Avatar n tn They told me they were the first names of both my grandfathers, who i only knew as grandfather/opa. Later i dreamt that i heard a heart starting to beat (hearing it from the inside, like when you close your ears but still hear your inner bodily sounds). The dreams helped me make a spiritual decision and I'm happy to announce that indeed it is a son (due 17th nov). Does anyone have these sort of dreams?
Avatar f tn I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting side effects that I first got when I started the pill.
Avatar f tn CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality. EGD just yesterday shows no ulcers. He has just taken me off the nexum, lipitor and azor. No ETOH, no NSAIDS etc. Every time I eat I have this pain. It is driving me crazy. I had been taking ibuprofin for the pain.
195469 tn?1388322888 Last I heard was on Sunday night, when her niece emailed that Opa was happy and doing well. She said that Moki would be gone for a few more days. Haven't heard anything since. Maybe tonight or tomorrow, I will hear something. I will be sure to let everyone know. I had posted this Sunday night on the old thread about Moki's daddy. Sorry, I should have done a new thread, please forgive me!!
486822 tn?1208800499 Has anyone here hadan RAI for hyperthy? Can you tell me a little bit about what to expect. I'm very nervous about this because of what happens when the gland begins to die and starts dumping hormones in the blood stream. I read it can cause a storm and with my heart problems and high blood pressure, I'm terrified! Does anyone know if being on high does of beta blocker will help this. I'm currently on 400 mg of PTU per day, 200 mg of atenolol, and Azor for BP as well.
1090984 tn?1463769850 I never had a problem until I had my first baby and a week later my bp was 161/110 2nd baby after a week shot up to 191/110. Took forever to go down and was finally put on Azor 5/40 plus a water pill. I went off because my bp was normal after a year or 2, then one night I had a heavy chest, I took my bp and it was 180/108. What concerns me is my diastolic stays high, in the morning my bp can go down to 120/90, the disatolic remains high. or I get readings of 150/99 to 117/91.
Avatar n tn I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.

1960984 tn?1328468228 I'm half German, so my son calls my parents Oma and Opa, my husbands parents are divorced so we've got MiMi and PoPo and Grandma and Grandpa, and great grandma on his side.
Avatar f tn Its alright. My hubby and my Opa *Grandfather* don't like how I am spelling Beau. They both like Bo. However my Opa with some of his family and mine as well say its redneck hick name and keep coming up with other names that is how I know they don't much care for it. LOL. What do they expect. My hubby is a country boy and I am a country girl. LOL. Oh well. Too bad its our names no the birth certificates and not theirs.
1396598 tn?1283945721 Yes that helps, Thanks I actually also have Diabetes in my family(mom, dad, oma, opa, uncle, aunt) all on my dads side. High blood pressure with my mom. My blood pressure always goes up when i am at the doctors (monday was 150/101) I get nervous and I had the tightening of the cuff they use! I never feel bad or have headaches. I know if i lost a little weight it would prolly go back to normal (usually i am normal) I am going to get on my treadmill and do some walking.
Avatar m tn He just started on a very low dose blood pressure med withen the last three months azor and doing good on that but the doctor said that because of the cyst they may had been the cause of the rise in blood pressure. Is all this info a cause to be alarmed. I read there is no cure for polycystic kidney disease only dialysis and transplant but that is still no gaurantee that the cyst wont return. I am afraid for him and not sleeping it is about 3:50 a.m now and my mind just racing.
Avatar m tn I also have chronic high blood pressure, which is controlled with Azor, so I try to avoid Benadryl and Claritin, in favor of other medications which are more friendly to hbp sufferers. I still wonder if it could be a yeast infection, as the rash came on a day after a long flight where I was forced to sit with my arms crossed, as the person sitting next to me was very obese and pushed well into my personal space.
1205562 tn?1554747006 t wait till I go to Kelowna on Sunday! Going to go to Opa Souvlaki and get their shrimp meal om nom nom.
1742424 tn?1311105290 Hi Pami, I found this http://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=1991 it's about getting benefits but I think he should apply for benefits anyhow even tho you can't find a direct link because a sarcoma is a cancer that arises from transformed cells in one of a number of tissues that develop from embryonic mesoderm. Thus, sarcomas include tumors of bone, cartilage, and it would be hard to determine if it was actually an osteosarcoma or a sarcoma.
483733 tn?1326798446 And, as with anything else, CALL YOUR DOCTOR. I was on a med called Azor (also Norvasc) and those pills are known to have that affect. So I switched to a new pill called Tekturna, and it is working well for me. I take it at night, and it seems to minimize the swelling during the day. Be vigilant... it would be terrible for you to be dealing with so many issues that you don't fully understand. The more you learn, the more you can help yourself.
Avatar f tn didn't know there was a cyber trip, lets not forget the sun tan oil and sunglasses. should we have lunch on the beach picnic style or go to a nice resteraunt.
2089460 tn?1332717871 m on a high dose of Oxycontin, Valium, for pain due to my injury, Azor and Benecar for my hypertension, and Amitryptiline to prevent migraines and help me to sleep. I pray that I'm not pregnant but if I am, what do I do? My husband and I obviously aren't trying to have a baby right now due to the medications I am taking. I am 31 years old and have never been pregnant before.
Avatar f tn A few years ago my Opa (grampa) had a sudden stroke. During that time my dad stayed with him during his final days. During this time my dad had his first blackout. He was at my Opa's house with his brothers, they were reminissing and he stood up blacked out and fell into a table. A year and approx. a month later (Christmas time) my dad was in the garage. He again blacked out and fell down and cut his chin and eyebrow.
Avatar f tn Althlough you are lucky in the sence you have had an MRCP, this option has not been offered to me yet, but will suggest this the next time I visit the specialist- (HE IS CURRENTLY ON HOLIDAY AND MY NEXT OPA IS 22 FEB). My attacks seem to arise every 6 weeks so I know one will be due again before I get to see him. If the next one is like the one at xmas then another trip to the casualty dept is looming :-( its so distressing and depressing isn't it???
