Avatar n tn Then I just got a 2nd opinion and this dr said to quit Atenolol,Isosobide and Ranexa and start Azor and Bystolic and he wants me to have a Cardiolite stress test. I really do not see an improvement with Azor and Bystolic-I think I have just as much angina maybe more on these 2 drugs. My question is what will stress test show that the heart cath didn't show?
3136355 tn?1343287969 I an 51 years old I visited about 3 neurologists in my lifetime since i was about 10 years old. the last neurologist put me on epilim and azor .5mg - it seem to keep the dizzyness away. if i became dizzy, I was down for quite a few heavy sleeping hours. as soon as i woke up, it was gone. I could never play netball in school, or go dancing with flashing lights etc. since about a year ago, i started having other symptoms as well.
Avatar n tn I recently stopped the flecainide and have had no significant a-fib that I can discern, although some skipped beats. I do continue to take bystolic and azor for high blood pressure. However, since discontinuing the flecanide, I have had what I would describe as a pounding heartbeat (not rapid), dizziness, and consistent blood pressure readings of 140s/50s.
Avatar f tn I stopped Azor 5/20 mg about one month ago, still having side effects. Has anyone stopped bp pills and had side effects lasting this long. I was on the drug for two years. Stopped because I started getting side effects that I first got when I started the pill.
Avatar f tn CT scan shows no pancreas abnmormality. EGD just yesterday shows no ulcers. He has just taken me off the nexum, lipitor and azor. No ETOH, no NSAIDS etc. Every time I eat I have this pain. It is driving me crazy. I had been taking ibuprofin for the pain.
486822 tn?1208800499 Has anyone here hadan RAI for hyperthy? Can you tell me a little bit about what to expect. I'm very nervous about this because of what happens when the gland begins to die and starts dumping hormones in the blood stream. I read it can cause a storm and with my heart problems and high blood pressure, I'm terrified! Does anyone know if being on high does of beta blocker will help this. I'm currently on 400 mg of PTU per day, 200 mg of atenolol, and Azor for BP as well.
1090984 tn?1463769850 I never had a problem until I had my first baby and a week later my bp was 161/110 2nd baby after a week shot up to 191/110. Took forever to go down and was finally put on Azor 5/40 plus a water pill. I went off because my bp was normal after a year or 2, then one night I had a heavy chest, I took my bp and it was 180/108. What concerns me is my diastolic stays high, in the morning my bp can go down to 120/90, the disatolic remains high. or I get readings of 150/99 to 117/91.
Avatar n tn I am concerned. I take Azor for high blood pressure, I also have been exposed to TB (1987 took INH and B6 six months) I also have lactose intolerance, I take enzyme for. Should I take this medicine? My blood pressure is controlled with the medication. If I take the digestive enzyme could that eleviate the problem of lactose intolerant? I don't know what to do.
405614 tn?1329144114 Oh, by the way, the radiologist who read my films was the same one that did my awful Lumbar puncture, if any of you remember my story of that experience. He didn't see the compression fracture that several doctors and two or three radiologists have seen, but maybe he saw something that will keep my neuro looking. So, do you think this will be enough, or what?
867582 tn?1311627397 800 different views on my MRI films and 10 minutes that the neuro spends with me per appointment = not enough time to review the films. My neuro will just read the current radiologist report which I have already seen and feel is totally misleading and invalid. The radiologist concludes "there is no abnormal signal on the cord" - yet I can clearly see that several views on my spinal MRI reveal bright, well-demarcated blips (lesions?) on the cord.
Avatar f tn I doubt your additional films is to see if the area has changed. These films will be concentrated on the suspicious area and involve some magnification. Often these areas will disappear on magnification or spot compression films. Whether it is an issue will be clarified when your next films are taken and read. There is no way to speculate at this point. Regards ....
Avatar f tn He didnn't have the mammo films or the ultrasound. I had to go alone, as my husband is in the same hospital. He wanted me to show him where I thought the lump was. He basically told me nothing seemed out of the ordinary. **Then he called last night and told me that the lab that did the ultrasound is going to do a biopsy on the outer lateral ---that's all I remember. Can't find the paper, and need to get back to the hospital with my husband.
991102 tn?1249288499 I'm not quite sure why you doubt the reading of your first films ... it seems perfectly fine to me and I suggest that you indeed have the recommended compression views done as soon as possible. If you have some doubts when these additional films are done then you could consider having all your films reviewed by another Radiologist but I doubt that would be necessary.
964127 tn?1252375462 You should be sure that the new institution and Radiologist will have your previous films for comparison when you have your additional films done. This is very important so you should take copies with you .... NOT the reports but the actual films. It's usually a good idea to have all your filming done at the same institution if possible; just be sure you take your first films with you. Regards ....
867582 tn?1311627397 My neuro may get angry, when he comes in the room, if he sees that there are films he was not given earlier, but I have to keep the films with the most MS-like blips on the cord isolated and with me since the films (incredibly) do not have page numbers and it would take me awhile to find them again out of my considerable stack of films. So that is my plan. Keep the questionable blips with me for him to view with me and try to explain away.
Avatar n tn I would wait until you receive the report on the additional films that have been ordered to worry. Often with dense breast tissue additional films are necessary to "zero" in on specific areas that aren't 100% clear on your initial films. Ultrasound is very often done following Mammograms to provide additional information. If anything at all is found on Mammogram it needs to be investigated further and often it turns out to be nothing of concern but you need to know either way.
490784 tn?1209135078 Hi, A couple months ago I had a mammo done and the informed me that I needed films repeated. I would not get answers why. I got too many bruises and almost passed out from the test so I asked for an ultrasound. I went for my ultrasound. The radiologist did not like the films, she felt the area of interest was not looked at. I went to the records dept and the concern is, my right upper breast. They see a spot they are questioning. I went to a 2nd mammo.
Avatar f tn The word "lobular" might raise suspicion a slight bit but then I think we always worry when something doesn't seem normal. After the additional views that have been ordered it may turn out to be nothing at all but when a determination can't be made then more films or actually more or different views must be taken to be certain. Even after the additional films if it isn't 100% clear as to what this area represents it may even require some type of biopsy.
2115889 tn?1338882792 I have been on 2 films of 8 mg (1 film 2x a day) I'm having trouble sleeping. I do not have the money for any addiction so I need to know the best way to tabernacle off sub.
887907 tn?1243586547 I am afraid that the MRI films were not read with my problems in mind. I had second opinions on these films with the same results. After the lymph node in my neck was removed three weeks ago the pain in my neck has increased. This led me to looking on Google to match MRI images that looked like mine. I came across ACM material for the first time a few days ago and most of the symptoms match. I am also have Hypothyroidism and have been taking 1.
Avatar f tn (23 hrs into w/d) I am already feeling so much better and am confident that I am on my way to freedom. I only have 2 1/2 8mg films to work with. I took a 1/2 (4mg) film today and within 40 minutes I already felt energized and normal again. Tomorrow I will tak another half and will break the remaining strips into 1/4s and should be done all together with the subs by this time next week. Does that sound reasonable to those of you who have done this?
405614 tn?1329144114 I remembered a cervical MRI from years ago for neck and head pain, and had the films and report pulled. It showed pretty much the same on films, but the radiologist just noted: "Incidental note is made of an alteration of signal intensity from within the C4 body. This is consistent with an incidentally observed hemangioma".
Avatar n tn This means that there are benign (non cancerous) appearing lymph nodes present on the films under your arm. You may want to ask your doctor what this means in the context of your situation.
Avatar n tn Now on this report and film, the shape is lobulated - very much so when I looked on the ultrasound screen and films - there was also no mention of it being complex in the the first report. I have done some research, and almost everything that I have read about complex nodules/ atypical fibroadenomas states that they should at least be considered for biopsy - especially when you get into your 40's on up - that's why I was confused as to why she would rate it as a Birads2. !
